My grandson was over for a swim in the pool and he saw one of the mantises on a milkweed. So my granddaughter had a good view of this one today. The project goes well!

I don’t think the the mantids are very efficient for bug control. It’s more of a fun project for me and the little girl. She’s seeing what the insects in her kids’ books really look and act like. It’s a chance to walk around the yard and have some fun. She’s amazed at the frogs and toads and little snakes and she chases the butterflies around. Great stuff for a grandfather.
