I hate wind farms. They are a useless deadly eyesore.
Agreed. They are destroying the scenic mountain views in Vermont.
And for all that if they were truly a solution to our energy needs they’d be tolerated. But they’re pretty much a bad joke.
Ahhh… the deadliest of bird hunters. Swing your arms wildly, and the birds apparently come to you!
They add a dystopian sci-fi look to natural landscapes.
I drove through a wind farm in upstate NY, in a thick fog, and all I could think of was post WW-III ruins. And half of them weren’t turning, which only added to the effect.
At the beginning of the movie Idiocracy there’s a landscape littered with decaying wind turbines. One of them collapses and starts an avalanche in part of the mountains of garbage that fills the foreground. It seems prophetic of the dysfunctional technology that comes from myopic Gaia worshippers running things.
Now I may be misremembering the cause of the avalanche. It might also have been just a garbage truck dumping its load that starts the garbage slide.
