Neill, this was just luck. It was handheld a week or two ago. By the way what did you think of Dune 2?
At my age, I had to think on your question a little bit. Overall, I enjoyed the movie very much. The final war scene with Paul’s Fremen forces and the giant sandworms attacking the Emperor’s entourage and forces was my favorite part. Two things I did not like. The major one was Chani–her role as an ever increasing female antagonist against Paul was simply too much out of character (i.e. maybe some feminism variant) and thus was detrimental to the course of the movie. I wanted your opinion because I know you’re a fan of the books and your tastes in science fiction are probably close to mine. I hate going to a movie and being subjected to the revisionism of feminism and other modern “isms.”
