The local kids call these stain berries. The juice is a very dark purple and it doesn’t come out of clothes easily. So they try to hit each other with them to leave a big dark stain on their clothes. Their real name is pokeweed and they are poisonous. Probably a lot of oxalic acid in them. But they make a nice photo.
