Well it snowed last night for the second night in a row so yeah, I’m willing to turn off the winter machines. I know what you mean about the 28-70 focal length. I had the Tamron 28-70 and even though it was a little bit plasticky it was nice and sharp for the most part and as you say a perfect walkaround. I remember walking around Manhattan many years ago for an occasion and it was just perfect for architecture, street, even some close up stuff.
I’ve got the 28-70 version of that lens series, it was the perfect walkaround fit for my 850.
