07APR2024 – Photo of the Day

Yeah, bismuth is a weird looking metal that forms those step-pyramidal shaped crystals and has iridescent colors. I have a few more photos of it that I’ll put up over the next few days. A lot of the specimens at the show said they were grown in China (of course). The well grown crystals remind me of some futuristic cityscapes that a science fiction writer or cinematographer might design.
