Just as an experiment, I downloaded the shot and dropped it in Photoshop and made 1 change: I ran the color temperature slider 26 points to the red side.

What setting do you use on your camera for white balance? There appears to be a slight blue shift to your shots.
Tom, I’d guess the blue cast in this photo is a result of two things. That location was in shade but also I love to pump up the color intensity, probably because I’m color blind. Because shade in this case has a bluish color and the colors have been tweaked it makes that cast.
