Tuesday, pair of Mallards showed up at my retention pond, with 12 hatchlings just learning to swim. Hope they can dodge the junior ‘gator who showed up the next day.

Mr. and Mrs. Mallard have been showing up here every year for a bunch of years. But they only have to reckon with a monstrous snapping turtle. If an alligator showed up here I think I would officially have the town renamed Dunwich.
