This is a crop from a focus stack and as such is based on a jpeg rather than a raw file. This renders it less malleable for adjustments such as exposure. Forgive a slight roughness in the finishing. These are created for the depth of focus the technique allows.

They’re hyacinth buds. Later you’ll see what kind of flowers they form. But they’re not succulents. Just a perrenial that grows from bulbs like tulips. This plant was from Camera Girl’s mother’s garden back in Brooklyn so it’s kind of a family heirloom.

Maybe I can grab some perennials from my mom while I’m down here visiting, and transplant them to Lamar.
