What camera settings are you using on these shots?
Are you shooting aperture priority? Handheld or mono or tri pod? ISO auto or restricted? If I remember correctly, you shoot these with a tall lens. I tend to shoot my macro with a 100mm f2.8 but try to keep the shot at around f8.
Tom, I’m not consistent but in this case I had it set to aperture priority f8, I think it was auto ISO but it ended up at ISO100, and because it was so sunny it exposed at 1/500. It was most probably on a monopod. Obviously these were ideal light conditions. If I check a few files and see any motion blur I’ll switch it to exposure priority at maybe 1/200 or faster. I usually run it at single exposure but I have been playing with rapid bursts with moving insects like bees. I’m tempted to rent the A7R4 because… Read more »
