The Supreme Court blocked the eviction moratorium. This is a logical decision based on constitutional principles. It’s almost as if the Supreme Court is trying to do its job. It’s all very confusing. Maybe some of the justices have rental properties. Well, whatever the reason it’s a welcome change of pace.
TBH, it is a no-brainer and does not require any great degree of constitutional scholarship to say that the federal government cannot prevent evictions.
Although it is entertaining to watch the 3 leftists on the SC try to justify their dissents.
Even Slow Joe knew this was going to get overruled.
At this point any signs of intelligent life in the SCOTUS is a cause for amazement. I’ve mostly given up on the federal government. But I would love to be shown to be wrong.
