Being poor is definitely not the end of the world. Staying poor is the real problem.
Agreed. I’ve been poor. It sucked. I took steps to make sure that I would not be poor again. (And no, I did not marry some guy named Rhett.)
My sister-in-law is an enormous fan of “Gone With the Wind.” I wonder if she knows that it’s been declared “problematic”? Anyway, I think before I married Camera Girl I swore to heaven that I would never make my own breakfast again. That’s as close as I’ve come to the Scarlett scene. And I may have made that up in my head just now. But I guess we should all get the chance to vow something to heaven at least once in our lives even if it’s fake.
