It just doesn’t get any funnier than this.
Less than a month after President Joe Biden’s administration touted the initiative, DHS has suspended the board, pending a review, with the future of its leader, Nina Jankowicz, still undecided.
“Nina Jankowicz has been subjected to unjustified and vile personal attacks and physical threats,” a DHS spokesperson told the Washington Post Wednesday. “In congressional hearings and in media interviews, the Secretary has repeatedly defended her as eminently qualified and underscored the importance of the Department’s disinformation work, and he will continue to do so.”
This is wonderful. An awful government entity has been literally mocked out of existence. Now let’s get busy working on the Education Department. And while we’re at it let’s see if we can get Pete Buttigieg sent home too.
“Pending a review”?
To me it looks as if a firestorm of criticism is the review by the American public.
It’s hard for me to imagine how stupid they must be to create a department level exact clone of The Ministry of Truth and then appoint a doctrinaire hard leftist to head the agency and not expect near suicidal resistance in return.
As they continue to thrash around doing crazier and crazier things and the general public reacts more and more forcefully against them I dare to hope that they are building a consensus against their continued rule.
Logically, I cannot fathom why a single American with an IQ greater than my current thermostat setting could look at this mess and conclude that any democrat anywhere should be given access to political power.
The younger generations have been thoroughly brain-washed by leftists. They believe lies about themselves.
While I am glad to see that Nina J will not be running Biden’s “Ministry of Truth”, I fear that too much attention has been paid to the proposed leader of DHS’s Disinformation Governance board. Contrary to DHS and WAPO, Nina deserves every bit of ridicule she has been subject to. However, we must not be distracted from the fact that there is no room for a US version of George Orwell’s Ministry of Truth. There is no way it can coexist with the first amendment. None. The fact that Biden and the rest of the democrats even thought they… Read more »
Chemist, I think there are generational differences between the Millennials and their elders on the value of freedom of speech. I think what we should be doing is making sure that the Gen Z doesn’t follow the Millennials. We’re way behind on educating the kids on how stupid their slightly older peers are. The schools and colleges will be the battle fields for reaching these kids before it’s too late.
