The numbers of individuals being prosecuted is small but if the consequences are broadcast it might prevent even worse abuses in the future when even small numbers will count.

The Ohio (my home state) Republicans do not yet have the guts to go after those who are behind the illegal voting. It’s as if are arresting junkies and small time peddlers and ignoring cartel bosses. A step in the right direction, but a small and timid one.

Detroit is so dependent on state funding that if they resisted an effort to fix their voter rolls they could be brought to heel in a few days by withholding funds.
