Tyler Cook, my friend over at The Portly Politico, is having a sale of his music at his site. Even though I’m a country music guy I think it’s my duty to provide a link to show my solidarity for non-Leftist arts of all kind. If you are a music lover and feel so inclined check out his link and see if it’s your kind of sound
Woooot! Thank you so much, photog. You’re a scholar and a gentleman. Maybe I should write a country album for you.
I respect creativity too much to ever want to dictate what someone should work on. That would be like someone telling me I had to write a romance novel. I might as well become an SJW and just toe the PC line.
Wait, this isn’t the SJW Antifa blog? I thought you were a pansexual Two-Spirit womyn of color! I demand reparations!
Haha, I wrote a country waltz song years ago called “A Rawhide’s Redemption”; it was my stab at writing a country Christian song. I should record that one sometime and send it to you.
What I like about country songs is the story-telling aspect.
Johnny Cash said; “Take me not to those who write your laws, for they will lie; take me instead do those who write your ballads, for they will not.”
I’ll take the ballads too. Especially a good murder ballad.
Tom Dooley.
Delilah.
Two recent ones that I like are “Kate McCannon” by Colter Wall and “Banded Clovis” by Tyler Childers.
