Cool truck. I had a Toyota Tacoma. It was a great vehicle in the summer but it was rear wheel drive and it was light so I had to put about 800 lbs. of sand in it to keep it from sliding over snow and ice. And even then the traction was very poor. So I sold it and got a Corolla. For New England that works better.
OT but I’ve been reading a lot about the Heat Pumps becoming more popular in areas like New England. Do you know if they work really well, i. e. cheaper, more efficient, or is heating oil still the best? Just wondering. No need for them here in sunny California of course.
In my Thermodynamics I course, as a diligent engineering student (boy, I hated that professor, he was a jerk) I learned that the Carnot Cycle could be used to take the subsurface ground temperature as a heat sink that was efficient for cooling a home. And supposedly it was also possible to heat a home too because at worst, the heat of compression and frictional heating of the fluid would also contribute to heating the home.
