The album that song came from is the last one he made before he died and it’s a hodge-podge of country songs and everything else imaginable. He covers songs by the Beatles, Simon and Garfunkle, Nine Inch Nails and even 1930’s pop songs. He even sings “Danny Boy.” Some of it doesn’t work for me but it was very interesting. And the country and western songs were a lot of fun.
Love that song. Reminds me of driving the East Texas back roads with a cassette of his greatest hits playing in the truck. Good times.
