Oh, definitely. I took a ton of 10mm out west and I’m laughing at myself think what atrocities I’ll be facing. Cropping my feet out of a ton of them will be the least of my problems.
If you use Photoshop, all photos will open in Adobe Camera Raw where there is a function called “transform tool” that will correct distortions inherent in wide angle shots. Here’s a link to a youtube video explaining: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMm0AD9Brp8
I commonly do wide angle shots and find this capability a must have.
Aside, the example photo in the tutorial above was so close to a shoot that I did last year that I had to review my shots to make sure that she wasn’t using mine. I have on occasion stumbled onto one of my shots that had been appropriated without permission.
Tom: Thanks much for that link. Adobe certainly has some very powerful tools for correction. As far as people stealing stuff, yeah it’s a pain. I’m heading out now to do some spring flower stuff before the cherry and dogwood stuff disappears.
I think that all 10mm lenses will give similar results.
