I think for the foot soldiers it is. But I wonder if the leaders are a lot more opportunistic about their “doctrine.” I don’t think Bill Clinton believes in much more than just Bill Clinton.
As in so many cults. The leaders do not believe and use the blind worship of the foot soldiers of the cause to their political and financial advantage. You seldom see cult leaders dirtying their soft hands. Their foot soldiers are unable to calmly discuss and rationally explain their views, they just chant and riot. If you start asking them uncomfortable questions, they freak out. I remember back in the day when stinky people in orange sheets infested most public places. Yes, I remember the late sixties and early seventies were awash with the insane. They’re back (or their children are). they may bath a little more often but now they’re pierced, inked and mutilated.
