And modern technology makes that easy. Like a bulimic, binging and purging, my last several decades have seen me go through a couple of repetitions of buying and keeping books until they become a physical hazard, when I’ll take literally pickup truck loads of them to some charity. Then I’ll freak out because I want to reread Niven’s Ringworld or Michener’s Shogun or somesuch.
