Preying Mantises, Children’s Books and Pa Part-1
Well, the little buggers arrived two days ago and unharmed apparently. Some hatched out today so I held onto a few and attached the egg cases to tree and shrub branches around the perimeter of the yard.
They’re minuscule.
But I’ll try to feed them by raising fruit flies and letting them feed on them. Here is my fruit fly attractant.
The game is on!
In this day and time, it is nice to see someone who actually correctly identifies a problem, logically implements a course of action, and solves the problem/conquers an enemy. Sec of Defense Lloyd Austin, however, would probably suggest that a little more diversity and inclusiveness are indicated.
To paraphrase a very silly movie, “I’m doing what I can, with what I’ve got.”
So cool! What a wonderful project to do with your granddaughter.
From where did you order these whimsical insects?
A company called Nature’s Good Guys. https://www.naturesgoodguys.com/
They sell biological solutions for garden pests. They arrived in good shape.
Nice! Thanks, dude.
