Room Temperature Super Conductivity?

Maybe.  We’ll have to see.  But if it’s true that’s a lot of power not being turned into useless heat.  So what do you folks think, reality or hoax?

Like flying cars and fusion power, this sounds like the same, old, braggidotio. I’m not from Missouri, but show me, anyhow. Many have claimed it but no one has been able to reproduce it.

Me, too.

I wouldn’t want flying cars though because we slaughter ourselves too much in merely two dimensions. Add a hundred thousand more flying objects every day and the carnage would be incredible.

Larry Niven solved this problem in his Known Space Universe stories. Flying cars were mostly under mandatory computer control. Manually flying a car over a populated area would get you sent to the Organ Banks.

From Wikipedia:
As of July 2023, the experiment has not been replicated, despite the initial experiments being completed in 2020.

I’m saying that If I had developed a room temperature super conductor, I’d be sending samples to anyone who wanted them so they could back verify my results.
(After I patented the hell out of it.)
I sure wouldn’t be sitting on it.
So – yes. It is the silly season.
