New York City will now track how much meat its citizens buy at the grocery store. They can’t even keep their citizens safe from assault on the subway from schizophrenic street people but they’ll track your meat intake. Anarcho-tyranny at its very stupidest and most maddening.

They are trying to drive people out of New York by every means. I wonder what their tax base is now?
Mac, you’ve hit upon a very important point. New York has an infrastructure maintenance cost associated with it that requires an enormous tax base. Since the COVID shutdowns and the George Floyd riots both the commercial and residential occupancy has fallen drastically. I’m guessing the roads and bridges are going to suffer quite a bit from now on. And pretty soon paying the civil servants is going to become more and more difficult. But since they don’t actually work (except for the police, fire and sanitation) no one cares if they complain.
