The news media seems to have missed it, but one big difference between the 2 candidates is that the Republican was very pro-gun and the Democrat was very anti-gun.
It may be just me, but that is a very large difference in Texas.
Sure. Texans of all stripes aren’t like Californians of those same stripes. There’s a dynamic that has to do with a lot of local issues and also the economic conditions. In California you’re dealing with a permanent civil war against normal people that just doesn’t exist in a place like Texas. And the economy in Texas is a lot more dynamic than in California. Not to say that Democrats haven’t made inroads but rumors of the death of Red Texas are greatly exaggerated.
