This is exactly right.  Make your laws a source of self-segregation and you will magically make your state a much better place.  Do the same with welfare, education, illegal immigration and crime and you start to turn your state into a functional and desirable place to live.

I have a feeling DeSantis will find out that being governor of Florida is a much more valuable position than president.  He has real power now.  He can make a real difference.  The blue states haven’t hit bottom yet.  Maybe then they’ll be ready to change.  Right now most of them are like the parents in that video clip.  They have a son in a sun dress taking puberty blockers and they blame the state for it.  Sanity is nowhere on their horizon.

26JUL2023 – More Silly Season

So here’s another round of articles on the Congressional hearings on UFOs (excuse me, unidentified aerial phenomena):

Look, I don’t believe that there is anything behind this except misdirection.  The only way there could actually be a spacecraft found and unreported for a long interval afterward is if somehow we’ve been reverse engineering it for all this time and we think we’re close to solving all the problems and are stalling until it gets done.

But let’s face it.  If we were on the verge of having some incredibly powerful technology that would allow us to travel around the solar system or even stellar distances with ease, would we be whining about CO2 and global warming?  Would we be investing in solar power and battery technology?  Of course not.  We certainly wouldn’t be filling up the mountain passes and ocean bays with windmills.  We wouldn’t let Greta Thunberg shriek and stomp her little stunted feet and whine about how we haven’t eaten enough bugs.

By now defense contractors would have bought up the technology from our elected officials and Grumman and Boeing and Raytheon would be selling jet packs or whatever cheap rip off of the alien tech they could pirate.

I guess it’s remotely possible that many years ago a crashed spacecraft was discovered and it was so ruined that nothing useful was learned from it.  But after more than seventy-five years is it even possible that such a secret could have been kept?  I just don’t believe it.

And that’s above and beyond the improbability of either advanced lifeforms existing elsewhere in the solar system or that a workable interstellar drive has been developed.

Look, our government has been run by nitwits for decades.  By now some pajama boy would have spilled the beans to TikTok or Instagram by taking a selfie with ET’s corpse.  Somebody would have robbed some fragment of unobtainium and sold it on eBay.  By now Hunter Biden would have  already had drug fueled sex inside the spacecraft and accidentally flown the craft through the side of the Pentagon.  We’re not a serious people and we couldn’t keep the secret this long.

Now of course it is possible that advanced life has listened to our radio transmissions and maybe even studied the speeches of our great leader.  If so maybe that explains why they haven’t tried to contact us out in the open.

Guest Contributor – War Pig – 25JUL2023 – Squirrel Hunt

The last time I went hunting squirrels I did it up right. I put on my old ghillie suit, used a camo screen instead of facepaint and had my .22 bolt action. I picked a spot where I could sit on a fallen log with my back against a tree. I sat and waited, enjoying the crisp air and the sounds and smells of the woodlands.

As I sat, I heard a flock of turkeys on the ground, approaching. Turkey flocks on the ground are amazingly noisy. It was not turkey season or I’d have bagged a big Tom, so I decided to have some fun. They approached, not seeing me. I waited until they were about ten yards away when I stood up, pulled the screen away from my face, waved my arms and shouted “BOOGA BOOGA BOOGA!”

You shoulda’ seen it. They tried to go in all possible directions. Some flew off and I could see and hear them smacking trees, falling then getting up to run. Wild turkeys are amazingly damage resilient. The rest ran off at all points of the compass besides at me. I sat back down and laughed like the Joker for about 5 minutes.

About an hour later I bagged three squirrels in a tree together. They were out on very thin branches and could move quickly enough. I field dressed them and put them in my pouch then walked back to the truck, laughing all the way.

My cousin complained she hadn’t had any squirrel gravy for years and asked if I’make some. I skinned the tree rats and went to her place and I made squirrel gravy and mashed sweet potatoes. We feasted. All I took home was a small Tupper container of gravy over the taters. I left her the rest.

Viva Bukele

H/T to ArthurinCali for this article.

Maybe the example of Bukele will drive the American Latino population to embrace the Right to save them from the chaos and gangs of the Left.

Camera Girl and the Welfare State

Like all women, Camera Girl believes in socialism.  Her bird feeders and scrap piles are an attractant to all the lazy and discontented riff raff that skulk at the borders of the Compound.  Of late it has gotten completely out of hand.  At six o’clock in the morning a murder of crows begins screaming at the top of their lungs for their scraps of chicken and bread crumbs.  At seven a voracious gaggle of turkeys descends on us to pick away at every seed that has fallen from the feeders.

This aggravates the crows to even more lunatic levels of cacophony.  Over the course of the last few weeks the hatchling turkeys have become noticeably larger and stupider.  They no longer startle when the crows approach them.  Even the chipmunks and squirrels have become mere background noise in this ocean of free-loading loafers.

Of course, reality does set in from time to time.  Perched above this scrum of bottom feeders, are the original occupants of Camera Girl’s colony; the cardinals, sparrows, finches mourning doves, grackles and blue jays.  They remain above the fray plucking seeds from the feeders and like aristocrats raining down mockery and droppings on the rabble below.  But from their elevated position they are a perfect target for the local hawk.  Probably once a week I’ll notice a patch of dull feathers on the ground where a mourning dove has been hit by one of these high-flying marauders.  When I’ve witnessed one of these attacks, I’m always intrigued to see the hawk plucking feathers from his victim.  I guess he knows his business but it seems a fussy habit for something so violent as this assault from the sky.

But even this murderous object lesson does little to discourage the dysfunctional mob that mills around outside Camera Girl’s kitchen window.  Of late a rabbit has begun joining this motley crew.  What’s next?  Will the local foxes, bobcats and coyotes join their erstwhile prey around the communal slop pile?  Will finally the black bear family show up and take up residence in this incipient Hooverville?

She loves these useless camp followers.  She even names them.  The largest and loudest of the crows is Moe.  The male turkey is, of course, Tom.  The rabbit, or rabbits, (they all look alike to me) is Bun-Bun.  I’m sure there are other cutesy names but these are the ones I hear the most.

I look on with murderous intent but I stay my hand.  My hope is that nature will take its toll eventually.  Based on logic and their general physical appearance, I’d say that heart attacks will be the primary weapon of the grim reaper.  But right behind that will be Darwinian selection.  I can’t imagine these gobblers outracing a fox or coyote in the confines of the forest primeval.  In fact, I saw a sample of what is to come.  On Sunday afternoon, Camera Girl and I were walking around the yard when we startled an adult turkey from its feeding.  It attempted to fly into the woods, but crashed into a pine tree branch and barely avoided tumbling fifty feet or so to the ground below because of a fortunately located branch beneath this embarrassing collision.  These creatures are morbidly obese and a reckoning will occur.

Well maybe, in a sense, even this imbalance is a natural pattern.  The high energy density of the fossil fuel era has even altered the equation for animals that live at the boundary between the human and the so-called natural environment.  Watching a game camera last year, I noted that when Camera Girl used to leave her scraps at dusk it attracted opossums and racoons and eventually the racoons became so obese that they noticeably waddled around on the video.  This led me to demand that she only feed the animals in the morning so that the crows would be the recipients and so spare the racoons from atherosclerosis.  But all I’ve done is transfer the disease from the mammals to the birds.

Recently I’ve had the realization that I am the final link in this ecological free lunch.  Camera Girl has been fattening me for the fall all along too.  Her delicious cooking has kept me lazy and contented throughout the Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama and Trump years.  Only the horror of the Biden regime has been able to snap me out of my stupor.  I resemble those crows and turkeys milling around squawking and accomplishing nothing useful.  The bread and circuses of the American empire have kept us all in thrall to the free lunch that’s been spread for us.  But the price of the free lunch just got a lot higher.  Maybe that’s a good thing.
