What a wonderful time to be alive. All of the dreams of my youth are coming true. Who knows? Maybe they’ll put Tricky Dick Nixon on the thousand dollar bill.
So remember kids, dreams really can come true. All you need is an ornery enough bastard like Donald Trump and enough people who are sick and tired of being lied to and gaslighted by their elected officials.
With one stroke the pen, Trump shatters 40 years of Conservative Inc. kayfabe that they were working hard on these goals of dismantling government programs of grift. (“Just keep electing us! We’ll get it done this time. Promise!) Hope to see much, much more of this. Yes, there is plenty to harp and complain about, and the administration has stumbled over a few issues, but overall they have exceeded my expectations.
It’s true Arthur. I never assume they’ll come through with the goods. That’s why this is remarkable. Nobody really wants to pay for public television. So things are about to get lean over there on the PBS NewsHour. It’s so good.
