Just in Case You’re Not Sure Who the Media Are

Just to make sure we know exactly who they are, TMZ exposes just how much they hate normal people.  During the live streamed report of Charlie Kirk’s shooting a cheer and clapping breaks out off camera from TMZ’s staff just as President Trump announced his death.

Then the on-camera host and his stooge give an apology and excuse that these cheering ghouls were watching a car chase on some other feed.  These people hate us viscerally.  They would dance on our graves without a single misgiving.  Remember that.

I hope they go out of business even faster than they already were.

Grammata-Euphoria

All this Charlie Kirk media madness and the manhunt have depressed the hell out of me.  We live in a madhouse surrounded by awful, depraved people.  So I needed a break.  So I’m writing about something lighthearted instead.  My apologies.  I’m sure on Friday more horrible things will occur to drag me back into the madhouse.

Publishing a book.

Step two complete!  I sent off my manuscript to the one traditional publisher that I’m confident isn’t ideologically opposed to the political position of my protagonist.  Now I’ve got to write a “query letter” and send it out to a bunch of agents to see if any want to represent me.  And I have to make a list of publishers that will take submissions without agents.  Once I’ve done all that, if no one bites then I have to self-publish it and then I have to market it (advertise, announce it on social media, run a Kickstarter, hire a skywriter to put my message over Manhattan, and get a Superbowl commercial).

Well anyway, that will keep me busy for a while.  Based on all the advice for new writers that I’ve read, I intend to disseminate my story for free to all of my friends and try to get as much good word of mouth and favorable reviews as I can when it’s ready to launch.  After all, I don’t want hundreds or thousand of readers and dollars.  I need millions and billions!  Like the holy texts, my book should be in every home in the first and second world.  And dammit why not the third world too?  Surely, I can squeeze the little bit of hard currency that they would normally buy food with and divert it into my coffers.  Yes, yes.  That sounds right.

Well anyway Larry Correia started a monthlong Kickstarter for his new book on Ark Press and within about 24 hours he had $150,000 collected.  And what has he got that I haven’t got (beside thousands of devoted fans)?  Unfortunately, that is exactly what he has that I don’t.  Ah, the trials and tribulations of the unknown author.  There should be a “Tomb of the Unknown Author.”  It could be right past the colonnade of heroic sculptures of Homer, Moses and whoever wrote George Burns’ jokes.  It should have an eternal flame that’s a large hibachi using charcoal brickettes as fuel.  Some residue and aroma from a nice porterhouse steak would be fine and possibly a meat thermometer somewhere nearby.

You know I did learn that writing a story really is just for yourself.  I found parts of the work where I said, “Now that’s exactly how it should be.  Dammit, the writer nailed this perfectly.”  And of course, I know I’m talking to myself but it’s immensely satisfying when the words evoke exactly the emotion you’re reaching for.

Of course, the tricky part is knowing (or hoping) that the scene will elicit that same response from someone or better still, many someone-s who will let the world know just what a genius the author is.  I guess the definition of a great writer is when the whole world (mostly) is moved by what you write in the way you wanted them to feel.

Alright, that’s enough grammata-euphoria.  I’ll only report back when something interesting (publication or a book deal) is imminent.  Until then we can concentrate on the latest hideous atrocities on the streets of our cities and Trump’s latest poke in the eye to the Left and its minions.

Watch Your Back

So, they murdered Charlie Kirk.  They assassinated a guy who debates with dumb college students on college campuses.  Could you think of anyone less threatening than a debate team nerd?  Well, I guess when the previous victims are Catholic grade school kids then there is some room there.  But it does give you pause to imagine exactly what kind of people the “average” progressive zealot must be.  We are dealing with social outcasts so bereft of connection to normal society that prison or suicide seem like career opportunities.

So where does this go from here?  And that is the question.  The FBI, as usual, say they’re working diligently to find the narrative that led to this “heinous act.”  But why do I think all we’ll ever here will be “lone wolf” and the old reliable; schizophrenia?  What is needed is to find the circle of psychopaths that egg each other on until the craziest one takes the bait.  And when will we find out that the shooter worked for Black Rock and his father was a CIA contactor?  And of course, we’ll hear how all of this is just some crazy coincidence.  Oh, my aching head.

I thought our guys are in the FBI and CIA now.  Why isn’t there a report about the psycho kid who shot at Trump in Pennsylvania?  What’s taking so long?  It seems like just the same old story; “We’re following every lead!”  Well, bottom line; they’ve unleashed their crazies on all of us.  Between the trans crew and the rest of the Antifa crowd I expect to hear about a new murder every week for the foreseeable future.

Now Charlie Kirk’s mode of operation; large crowds of college kids on campus is obviously especially dangerous when a sniper can get you from a couple of hundred yards away.  But it would behoove any conservative that will be running or involved in public forums or debates to take very seriously the risk that now exists.  A piece of very thick, transparent, bullet proof plastic would have been a very valuable precaution for Charlie Kirk’s operation.  Of course, no defensive plan is perfect and a determined assassin can thwart any and all precautions.  But based on what we saw on Wednesday, conservatives are now targets for insane leftist sociopaths.  They really should consult with security experts before exposing themselves to the tender mercies of people who don’t have any.

I followed Charlie Kirk’s career haphazardly.  I saw several examples of his debate style and I could see how it would have a profound effect on young people unused to a non-leftist opinion being expressed out loud on a college campus.  I think he was having a good measure of success debunking leftist doctrine on campus.  It seems Gen Z (especially the boys) are quite receptive to right leaning ideas.  So, the maniac who killed Charlie picked a valuable target.  Let’s hope a Utahan jury finds him guilty and the death penalty is assigned and carried out as quickly as humanly possible.

But none of this helps his widowed wife and orphaned children.  Their misery should be blamed on the Gavin Newsom’s of the world who said attacking the right must be violent.  I think he should be on trial too.
