“A Black Lives Matter leader vowed there’ll be “riots,” “fire” and “bloodshed” if Mayor-elect Eric Adams follows through with his promise to bring back plainclothes anti-crime cops to battle New York’s surge in violent crimes.”
It’s wonderful to have such clarity. The vampires announce that if they aren’t allowed to suck the life out of the peasants they’ll burn down the city and massacre the peasants. Such honesty must be applauded.
And on the other coast to make “bookend”:

Shouldn’t they be a separate country?
All the big cities need to face the consequences of their political beliefs. Electing people who embrace BLM means losing personal safety to a lawless environment. I truly think that allowing the cities to burn to the ground is the appropriate answer to leftist policies. Their smoking ruins will be an object lesson to the rest of the population on what happens when you allow criminals to dictate police policy.
Seems to me that the best course of action is to call their bluff. BLM is then either beaten by the bluff being exposed, or they decide to prove they aren’t bluffing. The virtual stalemate cannot survive either course of action left available once their bluff is called.
New York no longer protects their police officers from civil suits through qualified immunity. For this reason the NYPD has gotten out of the law enforcement business. They basically oversee the sweeping up of the bodies and recording the information for bookkeeping purposes. They know that trying to arrest criminals has only downside for them personally. Things are going to have to get much much worse before any concrete changes can occur. My guess is that the white liberals will have to all move out before some reform will be possible. But as I said, burning it to the ground… Read more »
Yes, that is kind of where my mind was headed… let them burn it down after calling their bluff. Because I don’t think it’s a bluff at all! Sometimes, most times, people don’t learn except through the painful lessons.
Jason, the city was brought back from the edge of chaos in the early nineties by Rudy Giuliani. There’s no reason to believe that people who were too stupid to learn from that rescue will come to their senses now. They’ll just do the whole thing over again. NYC. Rest in Peace.
Not quite true, Photog. As your own post on the FBI shows, the cops are more than happy to arrest people defending their lives and property from the mob. My advice to anyone in NYC: Get out now! Very soon you are going to either have the situation that SF does – where the mob steals with impunity – or you are going to have riots where property is destroyed and people are killed. And if you try to protect yourself – you are the one who will be arrested. So there is your choice. Watch it get stolen or… Read more »
Chemist, just this summer one of my family members and his family left Manhattan and I was incredibly relieved. He told me how daily the situation deteriorated and in addition to the hopeless nature of the public school system the physical danger in his extremely expensive neighborhood could no longer be tolerated for his wife and children. I don’t see the new mayor turning it around. Escape from New York is no longer an action film, it’s the only way to survive.
Any chance that any of the boroughs seceding and forming their own police entities al la Atlanta?
I’m not sure what the law in New York State is for that. The only borough that is distinctly more conservative is Staten Island. But honestly, getting out of New York has been the sensible option for about fifty years. Eventually they should build a wall around it.
