Fantasy
This category is a shambles. I have arbitrarily excluded superhero movies, monster movies and animated films like Disney’s Pinocchio without any rationale other than I intend to make separate lists for those. Also, these films run the gamut from children’s movies to adult fare. And one movie; “Big Fish,” may not even qualify as a fantasy at all.
So, I apologize in advance for the idiosyncratic and incomplete nature of the list. I’ve emboldened my personal favorites.

It occurs that I haven’t seen my all-time-favorite movie in any of the categories: Master and Commander w/Russel Crowe.
Yeah, the Lord of the Ring is a step above. I’ve been making these smaller categories to sort of split things up. Master and Commander could be under several categories. Military, War, Movies of the Sea, British History, Adventure. I’m a fan too.
