So, I’ve been talking for a few months about Trump’s new term. But it occurred to me that it would be interesting (to me) to find out what other folks think. I’ve decided on two questions to poll.

I hope DEI is destroyed. I believe it will be defanged.
The battle against DEI at least has been fought by outside forces like Chris Rufo. I think this fight is winnable.
Want Reform of DoD to purge careerists reduce top-heavy management, and return focus to war-fighting, not social/political experiments, promotion on merit, not politics.
Expect: Some reduction of bureaucracy, focus on warfighting, purge of Obama-era political promotions.

Release and pardon all the January 6th political prisoners.
That should be done on day one. If Trump doesn’t give a blanket pardon he’s making a big mistake.
There were hopeful signs today, the Republican Head of the House Intelligence Committee kicked out for being on a different wavelength than Trump. Ditto for 3 long time senior State Dept employees, not political appointees but employees and that’s rare. They would need a couple of stadiums to contain the ones who need to go but its a start..
All good news is greatly appreciated.
I personally would love to see the ATF disbanded, and the NFA34 and GCA68 overthrown as severe overreach by previous administrations. This would have to be undone properly, not by fiat, or EO, to ensure total eradication.
But what about all those booze and cigarette taxes? Gotta fleece the sheep!
If they were serious about eradication of smoking they would stop subsiding tobacco. They pay people to grow it, then tax the sale of it. Without subsiding it you really can’t grow it commercially and make a profit.
It’s a crazy world we live in.
