It appears that those in the know up in the corridors of power understand the eventual direction this rudderless ship of a country is taking. The overall mood of the public that pays attention to the DC twaddle see the writing on the wall. With unsustainable government debt officially tallied at $33 trillion and unfunded liabilities topping $400 trillion (SS, Medicare, etc.), they see the gathering storm on the horizon. By 2030, another 80 million Boomers will be eligible for SS, and that is estimated to cost $5+ trillion per year alone. This is why we see trial balloons released in the media about raising retirement ages, restrictions on benefits and an overall lowering of living standards. The “Will to Power” to correct any of this trend is just not there. Look at all the solvable issues they allow to fester and grow; illegal immigration, crime, societal decay, et all.

The sad reality is that we are on the downward trajectory of empire with all the pitfalls that entails.

Everyone should be preparing as needed for the lost American century.

Here is a photo I took on our last road trip to the coast around the Big Sur area. Anyone who gets an opportunity to travel the Pacific Coast Hwy (PCR) while in California should take full advantage of it. The views and landscape is stunning.

As we cannot see what the future holds for America, the historical record is the best we must go by. Numerous empires in the world have risen and fallen to ruin due to internal hubris, and my thought is that ours will be no different. All the signs point to decline, from moral decay in society and financial overstretch, to military misadventures overseas. Looting the treasury phase as Zman points out, is an apt description of what we are currently seeing. TPTB are more concerned with what happens thousands of miles away vs. what can be seen only a few states from our nation’s capital. How long can it continue? Another decade? A few weeks? It is hard to describe just how out of touch the ruling class is with the people they lord over. This alone might be a godsend as when the collapse finally happens (without a nuclear fireball, hopefully) there will still be pockets of sanity and quasi-civilization around the country. My current reading list includes a lot more historical instances of these periods; Weimar Germany, England, and France after ruling class collapse, and of course, the time of Reconstruction after the American Civil War. It will NOT be pleasant, nor easy during these times. Many first-hand accounts attest to this. But, I stay hopeful that a sort of rebirth can occur. We cannot be ruled by idiots forever.

The Transgender movement we currently see has the markers and characteristics of other historical fads-only with monumental life-altering effects for those who fall prey to its empty promises of making someone feel mentally compatible with their bodies. What is more sinister is the parade of doctors and self-described experts on the condition of gender dysmorphia who obscure even the slightest possibility of downsides to making the decision to alter the human body. The doctors make an incredible amount of profit on the surgeries performed, as well as the lifetime regime of Frankenstein medicines required to “live as one’s true self.” We can infer from the number of post-surgical patients who proclaim to be 100% happy that the pressure and influence not to express any regrets must be high. It is human nature to rationalize big life decisions such as buying a home, selection of a mate, or to invest heavily into something financially. It cannot be that different with the commitment to fully transgender. I would even compare it to the ‘sunken cost’ fallacy. Sadly, the impact of these decisions is not easily reversible, or have a margin of recovery for most. A rueful purchase of a home or vehicle can be amended, one can decide to divorce, while returning one’s body back to factory settings is practically impossible. The level of deception and subterfuge needed to mask the dangers and harm are plain to see by watching Walsh’s film. To push this ideology onto children is another level of evil and perversity in and of itself.
