Sure he’s the smallest fish and the evidence against him was undeniable but finally one of these creeps is admitting guilt.
The headline at the Federalist is “Kevin Clinesmith, Corrupt FBI Attorney Who Falsified Carter Page FISA Warrant, Expected To Plead Guilty.”
Clinesmith was the attorney at the FBI who tampered with a document so that it looked like Carter Page had been in contact with Russian agents without US government sponsorship. In fact he had been working for the CIA and the FBI while in contact. This was used as evidence for a FISA Warrant.
Finally, finally, finally. Alright Clinesmith, now rat out the rest of the vermin and things will really get interesting.
This process has been playing out since 2018 since the 1st Horowitz report. Pretty sure the “ratting out” is now past tense. It needs to be because if a Dim wins the Presidential election, the entirety of the worst political scandal in US history will be immediately buried. The Dims will shut it down within 10 minutes of the inauguration.
Woooooot! Hey, ya gotta start somewhere. At least it’s SOMEBODY, as you said. Maybe he’s all we get; maybe he’s the first domino. We’ll see, but it’s refreshing to see justice FINALLY being done.
Clinesmith doesn’t seem to be much of a victory so far. Unless we get a bunch of bigger fish before Labor Day I don’t see that any justice will have been served.
