Texas Takes Steps Against Woke City Governments

San Antonio doesn’t think Chick-fil-A is sufficiently respectful of the LGBTQ agenda so they banned them from doing business at the San Antonio airport.  But Texas still has a majority of non-Leftists so Governor Abbott worked with the legislature to approve a law that forbids local government from punishing businesses for their religious beliefs

We need more states to bear down on the lefty cities in their jurisdictions.  The people in the conservative hinterlands will enjoy that immensely.

Article on Chinese Americans Joining the Right

Interesting article on Chinese Americans and how they find more in common with the Right than with the Left.

https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/07/chinese-american-right-new-generations-immigrants/

So here’s one of the first cracks in the coalition of the bribed. The Chinese Americans came here because they know what socialism means and preferred the meritocratic American system. They invested in educating their kids assuming they’d be competing on merit. Now they see the Democrats instituting the grievance based admissions criteria at Harvard and in the New York City Elite High Schools and it doesn’t seem just to them. Looks like one of the up and coming groups is not as woke as their allies think.

Peter Thiel Says CIA and FBI Should Probe Google

It seems they may be getting a little too chummy with the Chinese military intelligence.

https://www.axios.com/peter-thiel-says-fbi-cia-should-probe-google-9846a042-e689-49bc-bdc7-595988ce5d8c.html

But they hold the US intelligence agencies at arms length for some reason.  Interesting.

President Will Use Executive Action to Add Citizenship Question to the 2020 Census

This is interesting.

https://nypost.com/2019/07/11/trump-to-hold-news-conference-about-census-citizenship-question/

Now why does he think the Federal judges who have blocked his earlier actions won’t block this?  I’m guessing that statement by Barr means there is a tactical advantage to using an executive order to move forward.  Maybe he can get a quick review by the Supreme Court this way.  Stay tuned.

The President’s Social Media Meeting is Today

President Trump is hosting a meeting with non-leftist web personalities to discuss the anti-right bias at places like Twitter, Facebook and Google.

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2019/jul/9/trump-v-big-tech-social-media-summit-will-snub-tec/

The White House hasn’t published the invite list but many participants have self identified.

Along with well-known media figures like James O’Keefe of Project Veritas, I read that the Claremont Institute was invited.  I’m especially glad to hear that because of several members of that institute (e.g., Michael Anton and Angelo Codevilla) have shown themselves to be almost prescient about what needs to be done to reverse some of the damage done by the left.

It will be interesting to hear from the participants afterwards to see what they think will come from this meeting.

03JUL2019 – American Greatness Post of the Day – From Bake Sales to Boardrooms, ‘Woke’ Is Good For Business – by Jackson Scott

Mr. Scott’s thesis is simple.  Corporate America has joined with the academy and the media in telling us what we have to believe.

https://amgreatness.com/2019/07/02/from-bake-sales-to-boardrooms-progressive-morality-is-good-for-business/

At the end of the article though he points to the recent example of Arizona telling Nike to forget about getting incentives if they accept leftist cant about the American Revolution being racist.  I like his final line on that:

“The message should be clear: if your company wants to insist on California pieties, you can pay the California price.”

02JUL2019 – American Greatness Post of the Day – Governor Nixes Financial Incentives to Relocated Nike to Arizona After Flag Sneaker Pulled – Liz Sheld

The governor of Arizona wasn’t pleased with Nike caving to the whims of unemployed football player Colin Kaepernick.  Apparently  old Colin thinks that the  American Revolution was racist so he told Nike to cancel their sneaker with the 13 star Betsy Ross flag on it.  So Arizona Governor Doug Ducey cancelled Nike’s incentive package for moving to Arizona.  Good!  Someone with backbone.

Apparently Even Knitting is Political

Here’s an article on the Federalist that informs us that the biggest knitting and crocheting website won’t allow Trump supporters to just get along.

https://thefederalist.com/2019/06/25/tech-bias-became-kitchen-table-issue/

The author reminds us that those pink hats that the old ladies wore to protest President Trump had to be made somewhere.  Sounds like an opportunity for a new platform.

Vox Day Has a Post on Creators Working Around Demonitizing by YouTube

Vox links to an article on the Verge lamenting that YouTube demonitizing someone like Steven Crowder didn’t do much damage to his business.

https://voxday.blogspot.com/2019/06/sjws-lament-failure-of-demonetization.html

In the comments I found a link to an alternative to PayPal and other payment processors who have denied service to gun merchants and othe deplorables.

https://www.secondamendmentprocessing.com/

Finding alternatives to converged institutions is a real problem for people on the right doing business.

Vox Day Links to an Article About an Australian Rugby Star Fired for His Religious Beliefs

Israel Folau was a star of the Australian Rugby league.  But his comments about his christian beliefs on homosexuality got him fired from his team and when he set up a crowdfunding effort to contest the firing in court, GoFundMe cancelled the account after it received over $500,000.

https://voxday.blogspot.com/2019/06/deplatforming-christian-morality.html

Folau is a Polynesian (Tongan) raised in a christian family and his biblical beliefs about the immorality of abnormal sexual practices have clashed with the LGBTQ mafia that more and more ruthlessly attempts to silence any voices that won’t burn a pinch of incense to the Caesar of our time.  Kudos to Vox for highlighting this story from “Down Under.”
