28JUN2023 – Avoiding the Pitfalls

One thing that is certain.  It’s more than high time we stop making believe that we will restore things back to normalcy in America anytime soon.  We will not be living in a country where a working majority of the voters want life to be like it was in the 1950s or even the 1980s.  Those attitudes and ways of life have been replaced by social values and practices such as same sex marriage, affirmative action and feminism.  If, someday, a reaction to these things came about then maybe we could return to a time where we all could complacently trust in the public schools and the federal government to perform their roles in providing us with the services that we expect.  But as Dorothy famously stated, “Toto, I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore.”  So, let’s move on.

Okay, glass half full.  Going forward we get to decide how we deal with Big Brother.  So, the government is working against you.  Take that as a given.  Also, a given, the current state of government surveillance is technically quite impressive.  They have access to everything you write and even a lot of what you say and, heaven help us, they can even figure out a lot of what you think.  So that’s bad.  But on the good side, they’re mostly not that bright.  So, if you don’t hurl yourself into every pit trap and snare that they’ve very clearly set up for you it should be relatively simple to avoid being dragged off to the gulag, for the most part.

And that’s great news!  There are all kinds of great things that have been created here in the United States.  Enjoying a more or less first world infrastructure and economy is a major advantage.  And North America is a majestic place.  The only trick is to avoid the Leftists that infest it and make life horrific.  So, that’s what we need to do.  You need to organize your life to avoid the institutions and limitations that the Left has put in place.  First and foremost, you have to protect your children from the school system.  And that’s a big effort.  Private school is very expensive and homeschooling is equally difficult for most people.  Another choice is moving to a jurisdiction that has school choice or somehow still has a non-leftist school environment.  But it is totally necessary to address.  And you have to educate your children about the realities of life in the new America.  You have to give them “the talk.”

What about woke corporations?  How do you avoid working for them?  Well, maybe you can.  Tradesmen don’t have to worry about this.  They can be self-employed or work for small businesses that fly under the woke radar.  And then there is the tactic of working clandestinely inside of a woke corporation without exposing your true colors.  Admittedly that is a risky plan and it could backfire.   After all things could become very difficult with respect to the woke environment especially if you get into the higher echelons and your personal life might come in contact with the crazier types where you work.  You might become exposed as a normal person and that could lead to you being expelled from “the body.”  The financial fallout from something like that could be catastrophic, especially if you have kids in college and other very expensive commitments.  So, working for a woke corporations is a very tricky proposition for people on the Right.

And then there’s the question of where you live.  Ideally you live in a scarlet Red State and far, far away from any city awash in crime.  Of course, for some of us this is extremely difficult because of personal and family circumstances.  If you don’t have the luxury of relocating then once again, you’ll have to do the best you can to minimizing the danger of living in a lawless region.  At the very least live as far as you can from these danger zones by putting a long commute between where you have to work and where your family lives.

And finally, one of the most important considerations for living successfully inside of occupied territory is locating and cultivating the company of like-minded people as your friends and associates.  And this means actual neighbors and also people in cyberspace.  Both are important and both provide an aspect of support that will make life more rewarding.

So instead of waiting for the glorious revolution when the Leftists will be perp walked on their way to Gitmo start living in the here and now.  Take the reasonable precautions and develop your environment regardless of whether you’re in rural Florida or San Francisco, California.  Now maybe finding another country to live in, like Hungary might seem like a better solution.  Personally, I’m evaluating that option myself.  But that’s an enormous change and almost no one is ready to go that far.  Yet.

But definitely don’t let the horror of the Left destroy your life.  Think rationally about their areas of control and how to circumvent their influence.  I think you’ll find there are ways to endure and even thrive in this brave new world.

28APR2023 – Summing Up the Week

It’s been quite a week.  Joe Biden announced his plan for re-election.  Another large bank is failing.  Stagflation was declared by a few economists.  The city of Bakhmut has been almost completely erased from the map.  The US government has vowed to turn our military into a joke driving clown cars and “electric” ships.  Tucker Carlson eclipsed all of cable news by sending out a “stay tuned” message on his next gig.  And we all groaned or laughed depending on how far along we are in the grieving process.

For myself, personally, I have a bunch of stuff coming up in the next two weeks that will keep me hopping.  I even have to attend a work-related event tomorrow (Saturday!) so I won’t be able to lavish as much time as I’d like on complaining about the horrors of civilizational disintegration or mocking the disgusting degenerates who make up most of our federal government.  But I’ll be there in spirit.

It’s a funny thing.  For the last month or so when people talk to me about the 2024 election, I tell them I don’t think the Republicans can overcome the vote-by-mail scam the Democrats have introduced into swing states like Pennsylvania and Michigan.  At first, they seem at a loss what to say but after a few seconds they nod their heads and agree.  I think they are surprised that I’ve given up the fight.  But then they look at the substance and have to agree.

And that acceptance makes all the rest easier.  The idea that an absurd walking corpse like Joe Biden, whose tenure up to this point has been an unmitigated disaster for this country and who would be 86 if he somehow survives to the end of a second term, will be re-elected to the presidency of the United States of America should be an outrage and an impossibility.  But it is now talked about in the political columns as the most likely outcome of the election.  A year ago, I would have been apoplectic about this situation.  Now I see it as the status quo and my job is to find the actions that I can take to limit my exposure to the consequences of this reality.

And because of the enshrined insanity that the Biden administration produces as its stock in trade (e.g., pediatric transgender surgery and medications), I look at this status quo as the perfect laboratory to measure the strength and determination of the more normal states like Florida to revolt against this mess when it becomes unbearable.

And this laboratory is important to me.  I’m looking to see if the strength exists to defy the federal government on important issues like the anti-trans legislation and illegal immigrant policy.  It’s going to be over something very polarizing and I feel that the trans-movement is the likeliest vehicle that could trigger a revolt.  And it’s an issue that produces such a visceral response in normal people that I think it might provide just the right combination of emotions to get a large number of people to take a stand.

As it is, more than ten states have signed on to forbidding doctors from “transitioning” children through either drugs or surgery.  And this is already causing Democrat judges to at least temporarily halt these laws.  But I could see this going further.  The whole idea of forcing people to pretend to believe that men are women is an affront to freedom of speech and more basically it’s an affront to sanity.  I can see a state making a stand and regardless of what the Supreme Court may rule just plain refusing to allow the charade to continue within their jurisdiction.

So regardless of the 2024 election I’m very excited by the swirling events all around us.  I’m pretty hopeful that some kind of alternative media may be hatching among the journalists that have been cast off or ignored by the main stream media.  Tucker Carlson is only the latest (and possibly the bravest) to begin setting up shop outside of the walls of the approved organs of the press or as the ZMan calls them the “stenographers of the regime.”  My hopes may be a bit unrealistic.  I secretly wish for Elon Musk to cobble together a commercial operation that would allow the likes of Carlson, Taibbi, Greenwald and several other reporters and commentators to set up shop in a virtual newsroom that gets its public through Twitter.  It can be a multi-tiered operation with free components and also a paywall for the premium services.

So, you see, it’s not all doom and gloom.  With realistic expectations there’s still hope for some improvement to our horrendous plight.  Who knows, there might even be some kind of apocalyptic comeuppance for the Biden administration that even the Deep State will sign onto.  I mean even the CIA and the FBI must be kinda scared that if Joe Biden falls down the stairs to Air Force One that Kamala Harris will be the leader of the free world (sorta) and at that point some kind of quantum mechanical reaction could suck the planet into a wormhole.

So, I’ll be out of pocket all of tomorrow morning and maybe part of the afternoon.  Enjoy your Saturday and I’ll return later to moan and complain about life here in Dunwich.

Living in Occupied Territory – Part 1 – Losing Your Voice

What is the worst aspect of living under a hostile occupying power?  That’s what I’ll try to figure out.  Now, some may say that we are not occupied.  Rather, we’re conquered or colonized.  Well, sure cases can be made for each of those designations.  I’ll leave that to the hair splitters out there. Suffice it to say that the Right has the distinct impression that we have lost our rights as Americans and are living under a hostile regime imposed from outside and backed up by a military force that is lurking behind the scenes waiting to haul away into a gulag anyone foolish enough to oppose it.

Living under an occupying power, subjects you to many evils.  You may have your property seized.  The laws that used to protect you can be arbitrarily changed or even eliminated.  New and unjust laws can be invented to punish the conquered people.  Economic conditions can deteriorate due to the occupying power’s conflicting goals.  The occupier may employ propaganda to indoctrinate children in school.  The military authority may employ paid informers to spy on the inhabitants.  And so on.

But under our occupation most of the evils we suffer are tied to the enforced adherence to the Left’s cult of wokeness.  This cult has as its tenets that white Americans but especially sexually normal white men are inherently racist, sexist and homophobic and that this evil must be atoned for with a permanent program of anti-white punishments.  Obviously living under such a regime is brutally painful and damaging.  I’ll try to break out the individual aspects of this trauma in this series of essays.  For tonight’s theme I’ll talk about what it means to lose your voice.

What do I mean by “lose your voice?”  I’ll give an example.  Let’s say you’ve somehow survived through the first Obama term and after the hideously poor results of this regime you hope to see a conservative replace him.  And after the Republican primaries you realize with horror that “severely conservative” Mittens Romney has emerged from this debacle and will almost certainly lose to Barry Sotero because Romney doesn’t actually differ from Obama in any real way and because he really has no desire to win anyway.  He’s a placeholder meant to mark time while Obama puts on his Hope Redux pantomime act.

So, whenever Obama talks about how Black Lives Matter all Romney can talk about is reducing the deficit or reforming Medicaid.  Not a word can be said about foreign wars or illegal immigration or FBI tampering with policing in the failing Democrat cities like Baltimore or Philadelphia.  All of the things that we see as outrages and as the primary problems facing our society are taboo.  That nitwit Paul Ryan can only talk about reducing corporate taxes and deregulating tech monopolies.

And even when we finally had a candidate in 2016 who wasn’t a Uni-party shill and who, against all odds, snuck past the election gatekeepers, what kind of coverage did he get in the media?  We got Russia-gate 24/7/365.  Maybe, just maybe Fox News may have had a few opinion types who talked to the issues but the news was still read by Shepherd Smith who pronounced every proclamation by Adam Schiff or Nancy Pelosi that the walls were closing around Trump and never mind about his policies, they wouldn’t see the light of day once he was safely in prison.

And now that they’ve closed the gaps in their election scam and ejected the only honest president we’ve had in thirty five years even Fox has reverted to shilling for the Dems and all we hear is transgender surgery for minors and trillions for Ukraine but not a penny for East Palestine, Ohio.

And if you’re unlucky enough to also be stuck in a Blue State well, then you’re really without a voice.  Because in one of these places you’re not only unable to get your voice heard but if by chance the wrong people hear what you’re saying you’ll find yourself scooped up by the Stasi and deposited in a dungeon where you’ll sit and rot for a few years before being sentenced by a kangaroo court to hard time in a hellhole prison.

But even ignoring the fear of being persecuted, the primary trauma of being silenced is hopelessness.  After all, how can things be fixed if you’re unheard and alone.  Even if the internet allows for some way to contact like-minded people, the social media companies have elevated shadow-banning and algorithmic siloing of conservatives to a fine art.  Google, Facebook and until recently, Twitter did everything they could to minimize the reach of voices on the Right.  We are shadow-banned while the Left is amplified.

It may be the case that the beginnings of a change are appearing.  Alternative news sites are beginning to gain ground.  A few mainstream names like Tucker Carlson are starting to talk to us in our own language and tell the truth.  Elon Musk has let much needed light flood in to show how the feds and Twitter conspired to silence the Right and protect Biden and others on the Left.  And more and more regular people go to their favorite websites to find out what is happening in the world.  Sites like Whatfinger even let me amplify my reach to many times what I normally can.  Recently someone like Michael Anton was able to find his way to my site.  Maybe we’re not as alone as we were.  Maybe we’re starting to regain our voices.  But it’s still a lonely fate being occupied.
