How to Scare the Crap Out of School Boards and Other Gov’t Fascists

On this video (starting at 11:55) is a woman whose son is autistic and wearing a mask at school was causing him to harm himself and sending him to the hospital.  What she did was go on her own, directly to the company that bonded the members of the School District Governing Board and made a claim that she had been harmed.  And the Board ended the mask mandate rather than be found liable and pay for a legal defense against the bond company holding them liable.

As the saying goes, I am not a lawyer but I play one on tv.  But this seems like a very productive angle at which to attack these bastards.  Most of these people really love their money.  threatening that sounds like a great idea.  The woman who performed this miracle stresses that she completely avoided any involvement by a lawyer.  she made her claim to the bonding company by herself.  That alone amazes me.  If this seems interesting, take a look at the 11:55 mark.

06FEB2022 – Unbridled Enthusiasm Threatens to Break Out at the Compound

With positive news seeping out of the frozen ground from all directions, I must tamp down this elation that I’m feeling.  With Canadians behaving in a very unCanadian-like manner, Dementia Joe mocked and despised by the majority of Americans and Progressives and their agenda in a shambles, it’s very difficult for me to maintain my proper red-pilled gloom.  And just for good measure, we had the grandkids over last night for a big Italian dinner and it’s a brilliant sunny day (admittedly frigid but brilliant) today and I feel pretty damn good.

And it’s funny, I was reading some posts from uber-leftists in the Atlantic and Slate and even that tripe couldn’t depress me.  I guess it’s because they sound so desperate to want to believe that any day now the Biden administration will become more popular than beer.  There was one dope writing in, I think, the Atlantic that was telling the progressives that better days were coming soon.  That conservatives were no fun.  They were sexual prudes and anti-intellectuals who don’t read.  The basis for this opinion was that there were anti-abortion bills being passed in red states and that parents were objecting to 1619 Project books being forced on children in their schools.

Now how exactly that squares with the reality of the modern Left’s current attitudes is sort of a mystery.  All the book banning I’ve heard about comes from the Left.  They won’t even let books be published if they object to the subject matter.  And as for sex, the young people today have become so confused and frightened by the leftist rules and attitudes about being male or female they don’t even want to have sex any more.  So, reading that article actually had me laughing.  Imagine thinking anyone would be flocking to hang out in a leftist struggle session.  I mean there’s nothing sexier and more intellectual than a gaggle of transgender Karens talking about their sex lives and listing the books you’re not allowed to read.

Let’s just say it’s a good day.  I took some photos of a gang of turkeys that were walking through the property and I see some icicles on the shed that’ll make a nice photo.  I’ve got some writing to do and maybe a little shoveling on the lower driveway but that will be a nice bit of exercise for the afternoon.  Sure, the price of food and everything else has gotten ridiculous and maybe that will get to be problem by and by but that’s just how it goes.  We’re not starving and we can still pay the taxes and who knows when I finish that novel it may be wildly successful and I’ll have to find a tax shelter to protect my billions in sales.  And I was watching a documentary on the “Dustbowl” back in the 1930’s and just seeing what those poor people endured puts my small problems in a much better perspective.  Those people lost children to the health hazards of the dust and lost everything they owned in the world.  They had to travel thousands of miles to a place that didn’t want them and beg for back breaking stoop labor that paid next to nothing.  I guess I can put up with Dopey Joe for a few more years before he gets sent to the cracker factory by Dr. Jill and Hunter.

Mostly everything I hear is good news.  Even that thing about GoFundMe stealing the truckers’ money turned around and they had to refund the donors.  I heard it was because Ron DeSantis threatened to sue GoFundMe.  Good for him!  Now there’s another crowdfund site to help the truckers.  All good.

So, I hope your Sunday is going as well as mine.  I’ll be back with something more substantial when I see it.

Is Canada Getting Red-Pilled?

My exposure to Canadians has been limited.  I had a good friend at a couple of my jobs back in the 90’s and he was intelligent, funny and friendly.  But, as with all Canadians I’ve known, he was noticeably obsessed with following the rules.  I recently worked with a Canadian who was unfriendly, sarcastic and unimaginative but likewise he was a box checker.  He followed the rules as painfully as anyone I’ve ever known.

What are the chances that Canada as a whole, or even a majority of them decide to break the rules?  My guess is, it’s very unlikely.  With the trucker’s protest going on in Ottawa Trudeau has banked on the ingrained obedience of Canadians to allow him to crush the protest without more than a minor amount of resistance.  And even if the truckers put up a good fight and the police have to beat and maybe kill a few good men, the rest of Canada will stand idly by and watch it without as much as a shout of outrage at the injustice.  I think this is what will happen.

But as well behaved as Canadians are, will they be so easily cowed that when it comes time to re-elect their government in 2023 that they will just resignedly push the lever for the government that crushed a peaceful protest?  Are they that spiritless and docile?  My guess is they are not.

Americans have collectively reached their limit of COVID fascism.  Even the true-believers are exhausted and dispirited over continuing the soul crushing exercise that forces people to be inoculated with vaccines that don’t vaccinate and wear masks that don’t protect.  They’re tired of their children missing their childhood while they wear masks while trying to play in the schoolyard and even while playing sports.  By March even that dolt Biden will be forced to end the mandates.  He knows the mandates are killing his presidency and he’s cowardly enough to reverse direction to avoid his approval rating reaching single digits.  Several European countries have already eliminated the COVID restrictions altogether.  It will happen everywhere soon.

So, I’m guessing even the hypercompliant Canadians must be reaching their limit too.  And if in this state of mind, they get to see, on the six o’clock news, the storm troopers in Ottawa hauling hard-working Canadians off to jail I think this will be enough to piss them off.  I think it will be similar to what we saw in Virginia.  Basically, liberals who are pushed too far.  They will toss Trudeau and the Liberals out of power.

I don’t know much about the Canadian Conservative party.  I assume they are much like the spineless Republican establishment; useless.  But it’s always possible that some few men with backbones could seize the opportunity to revolt against the mealy-mouthed hollow suits who follow along with the Liberals.  Maybe this could be their Trump moment when they wake up from the dream and try to take their country back.  Or maybe they’ll just follow the rules and dig their own graves as the rules tell them to.

War Pig:
I believe you’re an Ohioan. Do you have any thoughts on the Mike DeWine vs Jim Renacci governor’s primary? I think I’ve heard DeWine has made himself unpopular over COVID but it’s all third hand info as far as I know.

DeWine, or as many call him, DeSwine, is very unpopular over covid policies, many of which were overturned by the Ohio Supreme Court. I would not be surprised to see Renacci make a very strong showing but DeSwine has the backing of the ones who made the most money during the pandemic
. He has the money and he runs the machine. I hope he is soundly defeated but I have so little faith in the current electoral system that I am doubtful.

04FEB2022 – OCF Update – The Ice Storm Cometh and Goeth

Winter Storm Landon, possibly named for Lil’ Joe, the youngest of the Cartwright boys, sashayed through the Compound today and deposited a couple of inches of rain followed by a half-inch of ice and slush on my driveway.  Since Camera Girl has a painting class tomorrow morning and will want to to get out of the driveway alive, it behooved me to scrape off this annoying and dangerously slippery coating before it became a rock solid ice skating rink-like surface.  I went out to shovel without gloves, jacket or hat to show her how virile and manly I am.  I felt I had to do this because we had just finished watching Amazon’s first installment of the Jack Reacher series called, sensibly enough, “Reacher.”  After watching him snap limbs, gouge out eyes and break backs in a seven on one prison fight I felt I had to up my game.  I needed something more dangerous and elemental than my usual go to, “taking out of the trash.”  I shouted, “I’m going out there to make the world safe for you, woman!”  She rolled her eyes but I knew she respected the hell out of me right then.

Anyway, this is the second tv series we’ve watched based on Camera Girl’s crime/action book choices.  First we watched Bosch and now Reacher.  So far she’s batting a thousand.  Bosch was very good (except for the last season that got too social justice preachy for my taste).  And now Reacher is a straight up action/crime fest.  And as compared to the movies that featured Tom Cruise the guy playing Reacher is a monster.  He could use Cruise as a Pez dispenser.  So far it’s been very entertaining in a comic book sort of way.  I really need to review these two series.  With so little worth watching out there I should share anything that’s actually worthwhile.

Today was a good fiction writing day so I’m behind on posts for the site but I’m sure to be inspired by the dumbasses who run our country.  One of these days I’ll probably write something very insulting about Jen Psaki.  Every time I watch one of her press conferences it occurs to me that she must be a singularly unpleasant woman.  She appears to be the quintessential Karen, sort of the National Karen so to speak.  But the question to be answered is, has Dementia Joe ever smelled her stoplight red hair?  We’ll see what my muse has to say.

The Trucker’s Protest in Canada has been getting more and more attention.  I wonder if they’ll spark a true revolt up North.  It seems unlikely but you know I think the world is coming to a consensus that COVID needs to end.  A number of European countries have already pulled the plug.  Will there be a flashpoint before Dementia Joe pulls the plug in March?  I hope so.  I’d love to see the feds back down.  Well, to be continued.  Enjoy the start to the weekend.

Someone Literally Cured of an Incurable Cancer

I spent over twenty years working for a company that pioneered immunological medicines, including cancer treatments.  And with cancer treatments no one ever said cure.  What they talk about is survival rates; % of patients surviving six months or twelve months or twenty four months.

But apparently there is a cell therapy called CAR-T that has completely eliminated the cancer cells from the first two patients that were treated with it.

“In 2010, Doug Olson became the second person in the world to receive CAR-T cell therapy, an experimental tactic to engineer his own immune cells to fight cancer. His doctors had tempered expectations for how well it would fight off Olson’s chronic lymphocytic leukemia, an incurable blood cancer — it was a last stab in the dark, one with no guarantees.”

“We can say it was a cure for Doug, because these are the most mature and oldest results available reported in scientific literature. Because they were the first treated,” June said. “Ten years on, no leukemia cells, and we still have CAR-T cells that are on patrol and surveillance from leukemia.”

The breakthrough is the presence after ten years of sustaining populations of functional immune cells.

“Over the next several months, the data suggested that the patients’ CAR-T cells were transforming from the killer CD8 T cells and into CD4 T cells, or “helper” T cells. These tend to remain in the body and help form a long-term immune memory, but typically are less involved in actively killing diseased cells.

In the years that followed, the CAR-T cell population did what our own natural T cells normally do: shift back and forth between types. By the nine-year mark, the researchers could only find CD4 cells, suggesting that the cells had stabilized into a long-term population of helper T cells.”

The article stated that, “There are now approved CAR-T therapies for six different indications including different types of leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. But nearly all other patients treated with CAR-T therapy did eventually experience a relapse of cancer, making the enduring response from these first two patients extraordinary.”

Nevertheless, this is a cancer cure.  What can work once can be reverse engineered for other cancers.  Hopefully the research on why this one cell therapy successfully enabled the human immune system to completely eliminate this one particular cancer can be the key to a deeper understanding of how the body defeats cancers in general.
