From the Bursar to the Dorm, Shouting We’ll Perform

During the Summer of George riots back in 2020 I tried to think of a silver lining to go along with that cloud of violence and chaos.  I wondered if there was a way to get Antifa and BLM to burn down the Ivy League colleges.  Imagining Harvard, Yale and Columbia engulfed in flames and the merry arsonists roasting the students and faculty for being white supremacists warmed my heart.

But no such luck.  They only burned down the homes and businesses of hard-working people.

Currently, these same august, ivy-covered halls are embroiled in a scandal.  The various student organizations that advocate for social justice have become spun-up over the Gaza war.  After Hamas’s October 7th massacre in southern Israel, these lunatics appeared on the campuses of many colleges and proudly declared that the Palestinians were completely justified in raping, maiming, slaughtering and mutilating women, children and elderly people because of colonization.  In fact, many student groups went so far as to say that Israel was solely responsible for the bloodshed.

Now, that’s an interesting claim.  Apparently, the infants and children who were brutalized and killed had it coming.  Even Vlad the Impaler would have blushed.

During the ensuing weeks after the attack and the start of the Gaza War, demonstrations on campus became quite heated and at times the pro-Palestinian crowd became abusive and threatening toward Jewish students or any organization that had a relationship to Jews or Israel.  Finally, Jewish groups and others across the country became outraged at the harassment and the lack of response by college administrations.  Congressional investigations were convened and complaints were sent to the boards of trustees of the various colleges.  And at least one $100,000,000 donation was cancelled to one of these august seats of learning.  Ouch!

During the hearings, the college presidents were grilled, and to a woman, they declared that calls for the clearing out of Israelis “from the river to the sea” was not necessarily actionable speech on their ivy-league campuses.  Of course, after being pummeled in the pages of every newspaper and with calls for them to be fired by many prominent donors they walked back every line of it.  And so, we see what a tangled web we have when questions of free speech and harassment are in play on a college campus.

But what are we to make of it?  Usually, colleges don’t reprimand their leftist students.  Three factors need to be examined.  The first is the egregiousness of the case.  The crowds were completely unconcerned with the horrific nature of the October 7th attack.  Even people who normally are unsympathetic toward Israel might be unwilling to overlook the deranged violence that Hamas perpetrated.  This alone prevents the full-fledged support that many left-wing Americans might feel for the Palestinians.  Secondly, antisemitism is a very taboo behavior in Western societies after the Holocaust.  And so, the targeting of Jews quickly becomes a news headline.  Also, there are many Jewish philanthropists in America that are responsible for large college endowments.  Accordingly, they have a great deal of clout with these colleges.  Putting these things together you can see how the normal leftist slant on campus toward “people of color” could run into opposition from even the left of center parts of the population and the powers that be.

But now that this bias in the way that free speech and harassment are doled out on campus has been showcased surely it can be the basis for a more general reform of these practices as they relate to other groups on campus.  I mean, now that the colleges have admitted their poor judgement in defining acceptable and unacceptable discourse why should we not demand the same objectivity from these colleges for conservatives?

Think of innumerable examples of harassment of conservatives on campus and the complete lack of free speech that they operate under.  When a conservative is invited on campus by a student group or faculty member, the crazy leftists not only show up to shout him down during his speech but in some cases violent mobs literally chase him off campus in fear of life and limb before he even has the chance to speak.

And what is the administration’s position on this situation?  In some cases, there is an unofficial approval for it.  In other case they pretend to be upset by it.  But there is never any attempt to prevent it and absolutely no punishment for the perpetrators.

And this does not even begin to cover the almost total disparagement of the rights of white male students by faculty, student groups and administration.  Every facet of college life including admission is slanted to disadvantage and disrespect white men whenever possible.

So, what are we to think about the consistency of the policies surrounding free speech and harassment on college campuses?  I’d say that the rules for determining what was and wasn’t free speech or harassment is completely subjective and based on a point of view powerfully eschewed to the left.

Well, if I were the President of the United States and I was handing out money to colleges, I sure as hell would have my Education Department head reviewing the records of how enforcement of free speech and harassment was handled by each of these colleges and I’d shut off the funding to any of them that wanted to play these sorts of games.  And colleges in red states should be (and some already are) cracking down on this leftist discrimination.

College has become unbelievably expensive.  And the value of the education is becoming highly suspect.  And these problems are tied to this leftist tilt.  The case of leftist psychopaths attempting to extend the Gaza War battlefield onto college campuses is a good point at which to awaken Americans to the radical leftist indoctrination camps that are the colleges of this nation.

Maybe burning them down would be the best option.  What are BLM’s rates?

The History of Human Skin Color

This is a fairly interesting and mostly apolitical explanation for the origin of skin color in human populations.  Although at both extremes of the political spectrum I’m sure there would be those unhappy with the editorial exposition at the end.

But the branching and additional mutations that it took to create the different skin colors we see today is interesting.  But none of this explained one of the most important skin colors.

Cthulhu – Well we’re back.  And for those tuning in late I’m Cthulhu and I’m filling in for photog while he explains some things to the FBI in DC this week.  Well, we hope it’s just this week because, honestly, I do have better things to do than amuse his audience, I can tell you that.  But enough complaining.  We’ve got a great show tonight.  I’ve provided my own band this week.  I’ve got George Harrison, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty of the Stationary Wilburys and they’ll be singing their new song, “Come on Down Bob, it’s a Dry Heat.”  And later on, I’ll be talking to Sadaam Hussein about his new book, “They Weren’t Kidding!”

But now let’s give a big hand to that master of disaster, Henry Kissinger!  Hey Henry, how the hell are you?

Kissinger – Funny you should put it that way, Cthulhu.  It is a bit hot down there for my liking but I won’t bore you with my problems.  All in all, it’s been an interesting experience.  I’ve had a chance to catch up with Dick Nixon and some of the other boys from my salad days.  Good times.  But really my next assignment is what I’m interested in.

Cthulhu – What’s that Henry?

Kissinger – I’m doing contract work for the administration down there.  Apparently, Lucifer is short on strategic thinkers, at least modern ones.  Would you believe it, Metternich was still on the job down there.  He never got anything done but just kept repeating “Might through Right! Might through Right!”  Hopeless old bird.  I don’t know what people saw in him.

Cthulhu – What kind of strategic planning does Hell need?

Kissinger – Trust me.  Everyone needs planning.  Recently Black Rock reduced our ESG score because we hadn’t assigned pronouns for Baphomet on his infernal stationery and business cards.  Those guys are brutal and they just don’t give a crap who they hurt.  So, I busted my hump first day, right out of the chute and got BR to cut us a little slack until I had a chance to reform things.  Luckily for the Prince of Darkness I know where the bodies are buried at Black Rock so everything worked out.  But I tell you there’s no rest for the wicked.  Literally!

Cthulhu – Tell me about it!  Last month I was returning from laying waste to a stellar system inhabited by fungoid beetle beings.  You know, real eldritch Great Old Ones stuff.  And accidentally I tracked in a little plutonium from the finale.  Well somehow the EPA and the NRC got wind of it and now they’re all up in my business and they’re even threatening to pull my NGO status and shut down my cult.  Bureaucrats.

Kissinger – Well, I don’t want to interfere but my contract with Lucifer isn’t exclusive and I still have lots of friends in Washington.  If you’d like, I’ll straighten the thing out for you.

Cthulhu – Why, that’s mighty nice of you Henry.  How can I repay you?

Kissinger – Funny you should ask.  There’s one thing I could really use is a flunky down here.  I need someone with absolutely no scruples, an inveterate liar and low intelligence as a whipping boy in my dealing with his Satanic Majesty.

Cthulhu – You want Biden?

Kissinger – In a word, yes.  He’s not due down here for ten more years but if you’ve got the bandwidth, it would really help me out if he could be delivered in early 2025.

Cthulhu – Hey no problem.  I’m supposed to ease him out of his gig this year so consider it done.  But I tell you; dealing directly with him is no picnic.  Even I feel contaminated after dealing with that skunk.  Well, to each his own.

Kissinger – Thanks.  But I better be going.  I don’t want to be late for my morning lake of fire immersion.  If I’m last, I get stuck next to Hitler and Stalin and then it’s just bitch, bitch, bitch.

Cthulhu – Everybody, Henry Kissinger!  Give him a big Late-Night round of applause.

Policy Foreign

Our foreign policy is run by people whose plan seems to be destabilizing the whole world.  They have simultaneously provoked crises in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Far East and now South America.  That is impressive by any standard.  They haven’t managed to piss off the Pope but only because he happens to be an atheistic pedo-protecting commie like them.

Maybe the most interesting thing about this situation is that they don’t seem at all alarmed that a lot of it is going badly for the sides they allegedly support.  Ukraine seems to be failing in its war with Russia.  The West African nations that revolted against the Western approved leaders have seemingly triumphed over the response from France and the United States.  The United States has given such mixed signals in the Gaza war that both the Israelis and the Arabs are angry at Dementia Joe.  China has basically shrugged its shoulders and walked away from any negotiations about Taiwan.  And now Venezuela has sized up the United States’ depleted military condition and decided to annex the oil-rich two thirds of its neighbor Guyana.

Venezuela is most probably causing trouble at the suggestion of Russia.  Putin is looking to punish the United States for forcing the Ukraine war.  While Donald Trump was in office the world mostly got a break from the color revolution Neo-Con skullduggery that was the order of the day during the Obama years.  Relations with our adversaries was respectful and quiet.  But now that Biden has allowed the Kagans and their allies to once again destabilize an unsuspecting world, we can expect all our enemies like Iran, North Korea, Syria, Yemen, Venezuela, Cuba and the rest of them to align with Russia and China and cause us grief wherever they can.  And they are.

But worse, the actions of this administration have even driven India, Turkey and Saudi Arabia into the Russians’ arms too.  Now this takes a very special kind of stupid.  The only thing they haven’t done yet is radicalize the Canadians.  But the year isn’t quite over yet so who knows.

You know, it’s hard to understand if there is some method to this madness.  They legitimately seem more interested in the public relations victories around LGBTQ inclusion in places like Afghanistan than in the legitimate priorities of the American people.  The only thread that seems to connect all of the radical foreign policy adventures is that the Neo-Cons assume that the United States is still the unipolar hegemon over the whole planet and no other power can resist any of our actions at all.  So, Russia and China are playthings for us to swat around with no consequences to fear.  And smaller countries like Iran and Venezuela don’t even merit military consideration and can be controlled by economic sanctions.

Of course, the fact that we’ve just finished with twenty years of failed nation building in the Middle East and no longer can get enough recruits to keep our armed forces at full strength doesn’t even register with the adventurers in the State Department and the CIA.  They’re raring to go at other borders of the Russian sphere of influence in Central Asia and beyond.  It’s hard to imagine that these people are really as blind as they seem to be.  They don’t seem to care that they may unleash a war that will have very serious consequences for the citizens of this country.  Even a major nuclear exchange is hardly an impossibility in the brinksmanship environment that they’ve created.

Now, I understand that this is a dangerous world and the United States must play hardball with countries that are ideologically committed to destroying us.  Iran has been such a state for over forty years and China and Russia are major global adversaries of ours for many reasons.

But I almost feel that the Neo-Cons that have been in charge of our foreign policy for the last couple of decades are more dangerous to this country than all of the rest of the world put together.  I don’t know if it’s practical or even possible to clean house at the CIA and the State Department but if I were Donald Trump, I’d clean out those two viper’s nests as one of the first orders of business.  Well maybe right after the FBI.  But definitely pretty soon after.
