Guest Contributor – Chemist – 06OCT2023 – Speaker Trump

Here is what I would like to see: Trump becomes speaker for a limited time – 3 to 4 months. In that time he does what he does best: Make fools of the democrats and the established order. He runs roughshod over the house “Decorum and traditions” and gets stuff done for the American people. The cherry on top would be the SOTU address where he does NOT tear his copy in half but hands it over to the archivist.
After Trump hands the gavel over to Jordan or Scalise, the change is so dramatic that even the dems are happy to deal with them.
When the dems voted to remove the speaker, they voted for chaos. They deserve to get what they voted for. Good and hard.

What’s Ahead for the House of Representatives

There’s a title searching for an answer.  What will happen?  What could happen?

Almost anything could happen.  Suppose enough of the Uniparty Republicans get nervous about not sending enough money to Ukraine.  Maybe they’ll vote for the Democratic Minority Leader to be Speaker.  I’m sure it could happen.  Maybe Matt Gaetz and Jim Jordan or Steve Scalise sit down and hammer out something that will keep Gaetz satisfied but won’t shut down the government.  Maybe that could happen.  The wackiest outcome would be Trump selected as Speaker by the Republican House members.  I give this outcome something like one in a hundred thousand odds.  And even if this was just a temporary situation, I’d love to see it happen.  The heads exploding in both parties would be tremendously entertaining.  And let’s face it.  Schadenfreude is just about the only thing left to enjoy about our situation.  After all, we’re all going rapidly broke while Joe Biden fiddles and burns everything down.

But it seems fair to say that whoever becomes the Speaker of the House should have to align himself with the Republican voters in this country and all the polls show that the one person that the clear majority of Republicans see as their leader is Donald Trump.  Both the Republican Speaker of the House and the Senate Minority Leader should be taking their marching orders from Trump.  And of course, that goes against their individual financial interests.  Because most of the slush money they get comes from voting for government policies for special interest groups like the defense contractors and banks and pharmaceutical manufacturers.  Doing the right thing for our country is way, way down near the bottom of their list of priorities.

But McCarthy getting bounced and all the anti-Trump congress critters like Liz Cheney getting primaried is starting to make an impression on the Republican politicos.  I think it’s starting to dawn on them that the gravy train could be over if they don’t move “doing the right thing for the country” much higher up the list.  And they don’t even have to believe in what they’re doing.  They can just follow the herd as Gaetz and others tell them what they must do to stay employed.  If Gaetz and his colleagues are clever enough they can convince the bulk of the Republicans that they have the leverage to put the screws to Joe Biden without paying a price in 2024.  After all Biden is despised by the majority of the country.  Making him pay a high political price for the problems he’s already caused should be within the abilities of moderately intelligent politicians.  Precedents are lying around in the recent electoral past.  The 2008 campaign that was a referendum against George W Bush should suffice as a template.

So, I’ve laid out the most optimistic scenario.  Everything more pessimistic is also out there.  Normally at this point I’d state that my guess was much, much gloomier.  But I don’t know, I don’t feel that down on the outcome.  It could be senility or something but I’m willing to see how this thing plays out.  Let Gaetz and his cohort sit down with Jordan and see where this is going to go.  Maybe a few good men can get something done in the cesspool that is DC.

Anyway, that’s enough words for now.  Enjoy the rest of the nice day we’ve been served up.

“Peacekeepers” in Chicago Provide New Definition of Peace

The video in the linked article shows a Chicago street gang dragging a driver from his car to be beaten to a pulp and robbed.  But luckily a yellow-vested peacekeeper arrives on the scene.  These are community leaders or ex-cons who can intervene to prevent violence.  The peacekeeper intervenes by beating the victim in the face with his own cell phone.  Eventually the police arrived and swept up what was left of the victim and brought him to a hospital.

The peacekeeper was identified from the video feed and was found in possession of the victim’s wallet. It’s good to see that community activists are stepping up and teaching the youth of our cities how it’s done.

Using the victim’s phone as a weapon is reminiscent of that scene in 2001: A Space Odyssey when the ape-man experiments with the large animal bone and figures out what an effective tool for killing his prey it would be.  Inspirational.  We’re seeing evolution at work.  All that’s left is for a stew pot to be procured and the victim to be tossed in for dinner.

Peacekeeping indeed.

City releases video of ‘peacekeeper’ helping group attack and rob motorist in Little Village

That’s right. Houston schools are removing libraries to repurpose the space for disciplinary centers. School jail.

I guess juvenile detention paid for by the city/state isn’t enough and now school tax monies must also be tapped to reinforce failure. I hope the taxpayers punish them in the courts and at the polls, voting down tax issues and replacing board members. Plus, they can sue for misuse of funds.

This doesn’t  count the civil rights suits lawyers will file on behalf of students put in what is basically a jail without due process rights and representation by a lawyer.

“Teachers at these schools will soon have the option to send misbehaving students to these discipline centers, or “team centers’” – designated areas where they will continue to learn remotely.

News of the library removals comes after the state announced it would be taking over the district, effective in the 2023-24 school year, due to poor academic performance. Miles was appointed by the the Texas Education Agency in June.”

A Golden Fall Day

I look out on the golden sunshine on this summerlike day and rejoice that whatever madness the psychos on the Left have inflicted they still haven’t altered reality.  There are still seasons and sunsets.  The beginning of October means the last of the roses finish off and the Montauk daisies are beginning to bloom and, in a week or two, the wolfbane will open its purple petals and the lycanthropes of Dunwich will assemble to howl at the moon and pull up Camera Girl’s vegetable garden.

But out in the big world all kinds of crazy things are going on.  Republicans and RINOs are engaging in jousting contests to see who will control the Speaker’s gavel.  This is a situation without precedent in the modern age of Washington.  We’re in completely unknown territory and virtually anything seems possible, all the way from incredible disaster to surprising improvement.

Meanwhile, Biden and his handlers are attempting to convince their paymasters that it’s too late to change horses in midstream.  But the rank and file of the Democrat party are seasick from all the turmoil that Dementia Joe’s policies have engendered.  They look at the polls and realize they’re part of an enormous chunk of the country that wants it to stop.  The food and gas inflation, the sky-high mortgage rates, the food costs, the endless billions being shoveled into the Ukraine war, the violence in the cities, the rolling blackouts and the attacks on normal parts of life like gas stoves and gasoline cars, the homeless and the illegal aliens living on the streets and in the parks.  Even Democrat mayors and governors want an end to the millions of illegals flooding their cities.

And the Justice Department and the FBI have made a mockery of justice by their openly partisan and obviously concocted indictments against Donald Trump.  Every week they come up with a stupider basis for attacking the former president.  Now they’re going after him because they say he overvalued his properties when he used them as collateral in a loan application.  As if corporations don’t do their own due diligence when they loan money!  This charge is so absurd, that it boggles the mind that they could find a prosecutor corrupt enough to claim it.

So, as we march on into the fall, the drumbeat of doom and gloom echoes throughout the land.  Well, that’s as much as to say, situation normal.  There’s really nothing much for our side to do except avoid taking any responsibility for the trainwreck the Democrats have created.

The only positive act that can be performed is refusing to feed Zelensky any more money for his minions to steal.  Let that murderous boondoggle play itself out without us taking an accessory role.

Wait a minute, there is one other thing.  Refusing to approve an extension to the Patriot Act seems like the only really important accomplishment that the Republican House can perform.  Let it expire finally.  The fallout will probably be a false flag attack by the CIA.  But what can you do?  Our side can announce the expected attack ahead of time as a likely ruse and assume the American people have seen enough in the last few years to recognize when they’re being had.  After all the CIA is allowed to spy on foreigners.  They should have stopped the 9-11 hijackers before they ever got on those planes.  Any attacks by foreigners, including illegal aliens is handleable by the FBI without the need for the domestic spying built into the Patriot Act.

Well, that’s enough for now.  There are still a bunch of razzberries and grape tomatoes to pick and I’m waiting for the HVAC guy to replace the oil pump on my heating system.  I leave everybody to enjoy the rest of the day and contemplate the “state of the union.”  It should be an interesting season.

Now That McCarthy’s Been Removed, Should Trump Be Speaker?

So who will be the next Speaker?  I remember someone saying that the Speaker doesn’t have to be in the House.  Well, how about if they elect him Speaker?  Who knows, maybe there’s an immunity for the Speaker not being tried in Court while in office like for the President.

Anyway it would be a hoot to listen to the howling from the Democrats and the RINOs.

Come on congressmen, do the right thing.
