One angle about the whole “SS Hitler” affair is how weird it is to feign outrage at a clothing company over the perception that the ads are mainly targeting White people, yet examples abound of marketing aimed at other demographics for specific products. I mean, Abercrombie & Fitch, Banana Republic, American Eagle, and a slew of other clothing brands are mostly White-coded, so it’s not the 2nd coming of the Waffen-SS when their ads reflect that.
I didn’t know many non-melanated folks who were mad brands like Footlocker, FUBU, and Urban Outfitters didn’t overtly pander to their demographic. Furthermore, no one is stopping minorities from purchasing these styles of clothes if they so choose. Social media (and parts of mainstream media) pretend that people are posted up at the store entrance in the malls, keeping minorities out as if it’s 1954 Little Rock.
Sydney Sweeney is an American actress. Among other things she has blonde hair, blue eyes, a very pretty face and a figure that would be considered extremely attractive by most normal men. She did a commercial for a clothing manufacturer called American Eagle that is for blue jeans. So, the joke is that Sydney Sweeney has good jeans which sounds the same as “good genes.”
And because she is sort of the poster girl for attractive white women this has been deemed to be some kind of crime against humanity. The usual suspects (feminists, anti-white bigots and ugly women) have declared this not only white supremacy and racism but also fascism. In other words, Sydney Sweeney is an agent of the Nazi party trying to bring on the genocide of non-white, non-blonde and non-blue-eyed women everywhere. Boy, that’s some trick.
I’ve watched a few of the angry videos. The less unhinged ones are upset because young women and girls will be “harmed” because they don’t look like Sweeney and so they’ll have their self-esteem bruised. It’s interesting. I’ve watched a number of movies and commercials with guys like Brad Pitt and Robert Redford in his day and even though I lack some of their classic northwestern European charm I always managed to resist the urge to kill myself or hide under a rock. And come to think of it, Camera Girl’s hair is brown and her eyes are hazel so how did she manage to survive the onslaught of the Swedish Bikini Team and other equally blonde and blue-eyed fashion stereotypes that filled the television screens in her youth?
Now, do I think that the jeans commercial is an obvious commercial use of sex to sell clothing? Of course it is. But in what way is that a new thing? And hasn’t the last ten years of trying to use anything but young, fit, shapely, white blonde women as models been a pretty pathetic failure? Even Victoria’s Secret tried to use overweight and non-white models to sell their lingerie and it almost bankrupted the company.
As to the race, hair and eye colors of the models, I’m sure in today’s multi-ethnic society a cross-section of beautiful women will surely help maximize the appeal for advertisers. But it seems that the decade long experiment of excluding white women from modelling is being abandoned and Sydney Sweeney is just a shot across the bow to announce that America likes pretty blondes again. Gee, what a surprise.
But this is a free country. The other jeans manufacturers are free to use overweight models of any and all ethnicities. They can even use trans-women and extol the tuckable nature of their pants for this special demographic. They can have the women looking especially unfeminine with their heads shaved or half shaved, with piercings and nose rings and tattoos and as flat chested as boys. Whatever makes them happy. But one thing is definitely true. Billions of people are looking at the American Eagle ad and they’re gonna sell a lot of jeans.
More than a hundred Americans lose their lives in a weather catastrophe. And what is the reaction of some of their fellow Americans:
Now this a female pediatrician. If you were to guess what profession and which sex would score highest in empathy for children, I’d assume she’d be near the top of the list. But in her case empathy is very clearly a politically dependent emotion. Twenty-seven children wiped off the face of the Earth by a raging flood in her home state is merely a good way to score political points on a man thousands of miles away in Washington. Well, it’s a remarkable insight into the humanity of these Democrat activists.

I guess it’s some consolation that the pediatrician’s employer terminated her for this horrifically cruel and psychotic crowing over the deaths of children. But it does provide a reference point when considering how we stand as “fellow citizens.” You watch these videos and you are hearing the true feelings of these people. If our children die then we are getting what we deserve. When those two Minnesotan law-makers were attacked by a psychotic man no one was saying “they got what they deserved.” No normal person would be stupid enough to say something like that. Displaying your inhumanity like that is reserved for psychopaths who have no empathy and don’t even know how to fake it. Normal people understand that regardless of differences on political policy we all have human feelings and wishing evil on children based on ideology is a sickness.
But here are people totally comfortable doing it. One of them was actually a political leader in Houston at one time. Now I make an exception for Rosie O’Donnell. She is a well-documented imbecile and allowance has to be made for those who have been afflicted in this way. But anyone of somewhat normal intelligence (and a medical doctor should fit that description) who wishes ill on innocent children should be shunned as a pariah.
Of late the Left has been rallying their psychopaths. Antifa and especially the transgender core of antifa have been taking to the streets armed now with guns and knives. They’ve decided they can come directly against ICE and other law enforcement agents. Luckily, they are ill-equipped to be shock-troops and in the last few days a bunch have been arrested for attempted murder and one of them got himself killed when opening fire on peace officers.
But apparently not all of the psychopaths are armed with guns and knives. Some, as shown above, are armed with hate of a particularly disgusting sort. Laughing at the death of someone else’s children is so callous, so subhuman, that it deserves a special recognition. And as it stands, there is one. Dante identified the seventh level of hell for that kind of cruelty and specifically for those violent against their neighbors they were submersed according to their level of guilt in a river of boiling blood. Well, that sounds about right. Mocking the pain of a parent who has lost a child should be recognized with something awful. Let’s hope Dante had the details right.
Matt Walsh made this statement on his show and Media Matters made a clip of it and put it up on Twitter as a gotcha against him. Well, guess what? It’s a true statement.
If you listen to the clip he gives proof. Uber had someone giving a diversity training to its employees and after running through the sins of white people disrespecting non-whites, he mentions that it’s also a good idea not to use anti-white slurs. Well apparently this little bit of fair play got the guy fired. So the game only works one way, against white people.
ArthurinCali has a very well-written article on his substack about the witch hunts that take place throughout our society to incriminate anyone who happens to have white skin. Lebron James is the primary villain in this piece but you could replace him with any one of a huge number of dimwitted hypocrites that try to set themselves up as moral arbiters.
Just because I haven’t had enough pain today from snow-shoveling I read an article by Ben Rhodes, one of Obama’s propagandists, I mean speech writer, and it was exactly as bad as I expected. But I saw one noteworthy item tucked in amid the bilge:
“There is an added difficulty that makes this challenge more vexing. The progressive movement in American politics is inherently more inclined to see clearly America’s own flaws and contradictions. … Yet wittingly or unwittingly, Trump has created a trap for the left. In so many ways, the resilience of his appeal seems to confirm some of our worst fears about the country we live in, the cold reality of the American story. It is therefore no coincidence that the rise of antidemocratic politics has been accompanied by an insistence on reckoning with the uglier aspects of American history and society. … The trap is that this would ensure we lose the contest over the American story. If you cede the terrain of national identity to its worst elements, you are playing straight into the hands of autocracy, which counts on a blend of cynicism and apathy among its opponents. Moreover, politics is ultimately about persuading enough people to vote for your candidate or agenda. If the starting point for your argument is that the very people you need to persuade must accept that core aspects of their identity should be a source of shame rather than pride, then no well-crafted agenda of utilitarian policies is likely to win them over. The same holds true for young people who are ambivalent about participating in democracy but essential for rescuing it: If you are led to believe that America is inherently corrupted, then why would you decide that American democracy is worth saving? … A negative story about the extremism of democracy’s opponents will not sustain the kind of mobilization that is necessary to save it.”
I know that’s an awful long quote but trust me this guy goes on and on. So, amidst his rant about taking, it to the street and the victory of “Hope,” he felt it was very important to let the troops know why the Democrats are losing elections and Dementia Joe’s approval ratings are in the toilet. Basically, anti-white-hate doesn’t sell to most whites. Telling even deep blue Northern Virginia parents that you intend to brainwash their children into hating their own skin color is not a winning strategy. The fact that he has to tell these people this is great news. These people are so stupid they think everyone thinks like they do. Rhodes is less stupid than they are so he sees this.
What it tells me is if we can make actionable changes that prevent the kind of wholesale election fraud that the Democrats committed in 2020, we can capitalize on the wildly unpopular tactics that the Democrats showcased in 2020 and 2021; the burning of cities and instituting critical race theory in schools. Someone might say that by November and especially by 2024 the Democrats will have had time to course-correct and disguise their hatred of white people. But I don’t think that’s the case. I think they’ve embraced the truth of their inner convictions and pretending they don’t hate white people would be too much of a denial of “who they really are.”
This is an interesting time. If the right can goad the progressives into embracing and amplifying their ugly and hateful principles then it should be possible to cobble together a majority of people on the Right and even in the squishy middle to deny power to the Left. Now let me explicitly state I don’t see this as a permanent victory. The Stupid Party is too aptly named to imagine they won’t squander their good fortune. But even a temporary control of the government might allow the right leader to make some changes to the federal government that might allow the states to protect themselves from the Deep State. Getting the Patriot Act rescinded seems like a valuable action. Institute a law that allows border states to take steps to intercept illegal aliens themselves. Many things could be done and someone with experience as a state governor would have a good idea what they might be.
Anyway, I won’t say I enjoyed the article but it gave me food for thought.
The ZMan had his usual Friday morning podcast. It was a review of the Left’s use of terms like racist and white supremacy and how their meaning differs from what the rest of the world means by those terms. It was as usual very interesting.
What stuck in my mind was the reminder that when dealing with the Left, the term that we can use that has enormous power is declaring their policies as anti-white hate. The ZMan’s contention, and I think it’s a valid one, is that the Left’s narrative depends on people thinking that they speak from a moral high ground. But if you can indict what they’re doing as a hateful and therefore immoral activity you rob them of this legitimacy.
And he’s right. Specifying something as anti-white hate frightens and confuses leftists. ZMan should be congratulated for popularizing this insight. Equity, diversity, inclusion really just an anti-white ploy. CRT is anti-white propaganda. It’s a powerful tool. Think about it.
Identity politics has enveloped our modern political world. The Dissident Right says that the winning strategy for Normal White Men is to play the same game and build a separate identity and negotiate relationships with the other identity groups. The alternative to this is the civic nationalist idea of a civic identity that embraces everyone who identifies with the traditional American culture and constitutional governance.
The question is which one reflects reality. And what that hinges on is whether there are more people who believe in Old America or more people who don’t. If the answer is more people believe then we can try to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. But if Old America doesn’t have enough support to win back the country, then identity politics is the only way to go.
I have to confess I don’t know the answer to this. And part of the problem is that the Democrats and their political machine stopped worrying about obeying the law. So, it becomes difficult to know if we are the majority or the minority. If they can steal an election then it may be too late to fix the system at all.
But for now, my world view is that what Old America stood for is a good thing that is worth upholding. The civic national concept is a framework that provides a way for human beings to live together in harmony. The live and let live aspect of free association and freedom of speech is an attractive and valuable concept. If it is shown that these things are irremediably lost then America without them becomes far less attractive a proposition. At that point I believe it would be necessary to reevaluate all the options.
America’s defining virtue was always freedom. And freedom is an absolute. Sure, there were plenty of cheats that occurred against the Bill of Rights. At different times and in different places crimes against freedom of speech or the right to bear arms or the other fundamental rights were perpetrated. But for the most part our rights were respected. We were treated as free men.
If we aren’t free men then our citizenship becomes a lot less valuable than we thought it was. If it turns out that freedom has been removed from the bargain then what we have left must be measured against all the locations on the globe to decide which one provides the highest quality of life. In some places economic opportunity might be higher. In others crime levels might be lower. In others traditional lifestyles may be more attractive than living in a woke cesspool of dysfunction and delusion. Maybe some of the red states may provide a successor state to Old America. That would be a very attractive option if it becomes impossible to save the republic. That option would include all the virtues of the old system without having to constantly battle the Left for the right to live a normal life in your own country.
So, for now I’ll cling to the hope that we will be able to resuscitate Old America and cleanse it of the lunacy that the Left is inflicting upon us. I don’t assume that the blue states can be saved. Places like California and New York are hopeless. The best thing that can happen there is for systemic collapse to provide an object lesson on what happens when you legislate insanity.
But if my fellow Americans embrace anti-white identity politics then I will be shown wrong and I will have to admit my error and swim across to the Dissident Right.
