“Thy husband is thy lord, thy life, thy keeper,
Thy head, thy sovereign; one that cares for thee,
And for thy maintenance; commits his body
To painful labor, both by sea and land;
To watch the night in storms, the day in cold.”

Well, if you’re going to have a civil war you need two sets of uniforms, flags and songs to go with it. The Left will certainly have no problem getting the degenerate music industry to sing them songs. If we’re lucky Toby Keith will let us use the Angry American. We haven’t finished the whole duplication process but I guess we can have the American flag all to ourselves. Apparently, leftists will kneel to avoid recognizing the flag as their own. Initially we’ll see the patrons at sports games start segregating between those who stand and those who don’t. Maybe the two sides can be called the Stand-Up-Right and the Left-On-Its-Knees. But how about NASCAR and the NHL? It’s entirely possible that even these organizations will knuckle under and start taking a knee during the anthem. I’m guessing that NFL attendance and viewership will plummet again this year.
But that opens up opportunities to events and organizations that are willing to honor the flag and thereby take advantage of a legitimate American symbol that can’t be easily vilified in the eyes of the normal American population. It makes perfect sense for us to maximize the use of the flag while our enemies will have to virtue signal on their knees. Even the Democrat and Republican conventions this year should be a real eye opener. One will be patriotic and celebratory, the other will be an exhibition of submission and shame. How can we ask for more than that?
I feel kind of inspired. I think I’ll look into a fifty foot flag pole and a nice big flag. Who knows, maybe I’ll decide to paint a big Old Glory on the side of my house. One side doesn’t have windows and would be perfect as a canvas.
But the point is we own the flag and playing the anthem can be our own celebration. We don’t have to be guilty or ashamed we can just feel proud that the Left has abandoned it. For instance, if at the Republican convention Mitt Romney takes a knee during the anthem we should have two really big guys grab him by the arms and legs and toss him onto the street while the whole thing is filmed on the big screen for everyone to cheer.
It seems perfectly clear that the Left is going to go all out on radicalizing the Anti-American stance of the Democrat party during this election season. And I think it’s a fantastic idea. We should embrace it with both arms and draw the comparison wherever and whenever the opportunity arises. For starters we should compare the results in leftist jurisdictions like Minneapolis and New York City with places like Boise ID and Cheyenne WY. Instead of looting and arson you had a well-armed citizenry present to make sure “protestors” stayed peaceful.
That should be the message that President Trump and the Republicans send to the swing states. They have a choice to embrace freedom, law and order and normalcy with us or they can go with the Democrats and kneel to their new masters, the depraved angry mob that will take everything they have; their wealth, their homes, their freedom, their children and eventually their lives and will still want more.
You’d think it would be a pretty easy choice. But we don’t have the megaphone they do. We’re going to have to pay for our message to get out while theirs will be trumpeted by every branch and tendril of the Woke Media. From Google, Facebook and Twitter to the tv networks and newspapers there will be only one message. They will try to frighten and shame women and weak men into submission to their narrative of defeat.
My bets on us. I notice they’ve been hyping the Biden numbers lately. I hope they can get the betting odds long on Trump so I can make some decent money when he wins. I made money in 2016 but not enough. Hopefully this time I can make a bundle. Take that knee Joe, take that knee.
“I am asham’d that women are so simple
To offer war where they should kneel for peace,
Or seek for rule, supremacy, and sway,
When they are bound to serve, love, and obey.
Why are our bodies soft, and weak, and smooth,
Unapt to toil and trouble in the world,
But that our soft conditions and our hearts
Should well agree with our external parts?”

Nine members of the Minneapolis City Council, a veto-proof majority, have announced that they intend to eliminate the Minneapolis Police Department. The idea is to replace the police department with a “community-based public safety model,” whatever that is.
Realistically I don’t think they’ll do much of anything beyond handing over a ton of cash to “community organizers” and tying the police force’s hands on lethal force and hiring more minority and female cops. But let’s just imagine what may happen if the police become so angry about all this vilification and decide to stop interfering with the underclass not only in the ‘hood but also everywhere else.
I can just see an enterprising young businessman from the mean streets who notices that Mayor Frey has a pretty nice wardrobe of Armani suits and decides to pay a visit to the mayor’s house to “borrow” them for a while. I imagine that previously the mayor would have had a detail of police whose only job was to provide 24/7 security to hizzoner. I’m guessing that security may become just a wee bit more relaxed after this. And what might be the situation for the nine City Council members who have announced their intention to eliminate the police. Well, I’ve got to tell you, I wouldn’t want to be them after today. The police really are the ones who make life in a big city possible. If you turn them against you, I foresee many, many bad things happening to the people threatening their livelihood. Remember for a minute that there are always a certain number of bad actors on the police force and they’ve just lost their steady gig and they are pretty handy with a gun. Now add in that there isn’t any police force to stop them and they know you were the one who got them fired. It doesn’t sound good.
You know, come to think of it, I really think they should vote on this thing right away. I’d be interested in seeing what happens when the police department has a ninety percent sick week in Minneapolis. It might actually outdo the recent riots for destructive result. And the timing is perfect. The long hot summer and the COVID-19 depression are both right there to make a bad situation into a living hell. When the first wave of teenagers robs its first department store and realize that no one is going to stop them they’re going to get a rush of excitement that may not let up until they’ve looted every store for a mile around. And that’s not even considering how exciting it’s going to get when the young thugs who currently practice the knockout game in their inner-city neighborhoods export it to the better neighborhoods like Fulton. Once the self-righteous citizens of Minneapolis get a real good look at what happens when you tell the underclass that there is no one there to make them stop they’re gonna beg the cops to come back and they’ll pay them double without a thought. Unless you live in a gated community with round the clock armed guards you really don’t want to let the mob have its way.
But let’s see whether it’s all talk or not. It would make for an interesting experiment but not a pretty picture. Let’s call it a teachable moment.
Yesterday was a very busy day on the site. According to the Slimstat Counter there were 1,778 pageviews and 1,482 unique visitors on the site and the large majority of them were here to read the post “Which State Will Grovel the Least to the Looters?” and 216 of these readers voted on the poll and 33 of them left more or less detailed information about why they voted the way they did.
Here is some of the raw information.

You can view the comments back at the post. But I’ll give a few general impressions I gleaned from reading the comments. First off, there are an awful lot of good people left in this country and there are lots of places where people are breathing air that’s a lot freer than what I breath here in the gulag. Just reading how the armed citizenry of Idaho repulsed the Antifa scum trying to invade from Spokane Washington was absolutely inspiring. And I found out there are other places that weren’t on my “list” that are also free. Places like South Dakota and West Virginia should have been, but even purple states like Missouri, Florida and Nevada have vast areas where life is still free. And I learned that even if Texas has some enormous cities full of progressives there are millions of red-blooded conservatives there. And finally I must say that Wyoming may have one of the smallest populations among the fifty states it had the second highest vote count in the poll.
I’ll have much more to say about the results but I wanted to put out a quick update and say thanks to all the great folks who responded so enthusiastically. You certainly gave me a lot to think about.
This is not a rhetorical question. I am involved in a thorough search for a new locale where the state and local government won’t go out of their way to violate my first and second amendment rights on a daily basis. After the events of the last week or so I am more motivated than ever to come up with an exit strategy. Let’s call it “Escape from New England.”
The three states I’ve inhabited in the northeast over the course of my relatively long life have taken fiendish delight in singling out my race and sex for punishment and humiliation. Although I am still tied by bonds of employment and family to this part of the country, I foresee that imminent retirement and the maturing of the next generation will allow me to escape. In fact it is partly for the sake of the grandchildren that I want to relocate to a place where their chances for happiness will be better. Camera Girl is a reluctant participant due to her grandchildren but I feel confident that I can provide her with plenty of access to the kids through visits and trips.
Back in November of 2018 I first started considering the move. I looked at a list of the ten most conservative states. They were Wyoming, North Dakota, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Louisiana, Montana, Utah and Tennessee. Based on climate I pared it down to Oklahoma, Arkansas, Idaho, Utah and Tennessee. But this is just rudimentary sorting. Living in an already crappy climate like New England I want to base my decision on more important things than climate. If it turned out that Wyoming was a conservative paradise, I’d bite the bullet and pack up my snow plow and move there in a heartbeat.
In that spirit I am opening up consideration for any location. Texas and Arizona are rumored to be turning purple. But maybe that is an exaggeration. I’ll listen to what people living in these areas have to say. I want to cast as wide a net as possible and then use the best information available to sift through the results.
So, help me out all you fellow deplorables. Where is the promised land? And just as valuable where isn’t it? Even in red states I’m sure there are plenty of places where the liberals have got a stranglehold like in Austin TX. The last thing I want to do is travel half way across the country and end up in the same situation I’m in now. Feel free to warn me off anyplace like that.
I’ve put a poll with a list of the reddest states. I’ve also added a choice other if your choice isn’t there. then just leave it in the comments. And even if you pick one of the states I’ve listed feel free to elaborate in the comments section. I’m critically interested in real information from our side of the fence. As you are aware the stuff that Google elevates in its searches aren’t exactly accurate for our side of the aisle. If I think that this poll provides enough information I’ll organize it and maybe it can be a resource for others caught behind enemy lines in the deplorable hating blue states.
Update:
Thanks to all that read and participated in the poll and comments. I have a short update on the results with some thoughts about the results.
