We Are the United States of America

We are the United States of America.  What do I mean by that?  I’ll start by defining the word we.  I’m restricting that down to the right-wing of the people living in this country.  I don’t mean any ethnicity or race or political status.  I am talking about the people who are in rebellion against BLM, Antifa, Joe Biden, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Mitt Romney, Google, Twitter, Facebook, California, New York, New England, Seattle, Minneapolis and Portland.  We believe in the Constitution of the United States as written at our founding.  We believe in the God given rights found in the Bill of Rights and we do not acknowledge the authority of the FBI, CIA, NSA, or any other government or corporate goons to try and take those rights away.  We do not acknowledge white privilege, systemic racism, critical race theory, intersectionality or any other pseudo-intellectual theory that tries to rationalize disenfranchising Americans of their freedom and rights.

We believe in the things that our ancestors have believed in for all of recorded history.  We believe in God.  We believe in a man and a woman forming a family from the children that they create from their bodies.  We believe that that family is the basis for all the good things that we hold sacred.  We believe that families support each other to form a community and those communities are what make up this nation.  Anyone like BLM or GLAAD whose stated goal is to disrupt the primacy of these families is a mortal enemy of this nation and needs to be rooted out and eliminated.  We don’t believe that sexual deviancy is something to be celebrated.  We don’t believe that men and women who are confused about their sexuality are competent to teach children about any aspect of life.  We don’t believe that the government is responsible or competent to raise our children.  We don’t believe that freedom of speech and freedom of religion are optional or conditional.  We believe in a divine right to live the kind of life we live.

Anybody who believes in or even knuckles under to these people and ideas on the Left isn’t an American.  At best he’s a pawn of these usurpers.  At best he’s an obstacle to reclaiming our country.  And at worst he’s one of them.  He’s part of the truly despicable movement that has allied itself with the globalist elite that is attempting to consolidate power over the formerly free people of the United States of America.  And they’ve come pretty far in their plan.  Most of it they did while we weren’t even aware of their presence.  We can thank the Republican establishment for that.  Their job as controlled opposition was to give the illusion of resistance to the Left while ensuring that the Left always got their way.  By diverting all power from the Right into their hands they ensured that nothing effective was ever done to save our way of life.  Well, fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.  I won’t be fooled again.

As the only legitimate remaining part of the United States of America we have several jobs.  One is to maintain the culture and the memory of what the United States was.  That’s a pretty big job.  We’re assaulted on every side by the Left’s war against normalcy and against our history.  Evangelizing the young and celebrating our culture is important and takes time and resources.  Resources are needed to pay for schooling and other institutions that keep our way of life alive inside the occupied territories.

Another job is to begin building the structures and institutions that will allow us to have autonomy from the leftist controlled government and corporate entities.  We’ll need our own banks and schools and companies so that the Left won’t be able to discriminate against us and deprive us of services.  We need to distinguish between those who are hostile to us and those who are not and do business accordingly.  We must build community and support each other.

And finally, we need to build up power structures at least at the state level to resist the attacks of the Left at the federal level and eventually overcome them and take back the country.  Whether this is a slow separation of Red and Blue states or a more dramatic revolt is hard to say.  But we have to know that our beliefs aren’t ignored by the people in charge.  They need to be accountable to us and we need to stay awake to what’s going on and take charge of the democratic process.  Assuming that the elites have our best interests at heart is how we got in this mess in the first place.

Well, that was a lot of words.  But what I’m trying to say is that regardless of what the media tells you and how the people in charge spin what’s going on, we are still here.  We’re who we always were and we will endure.  And the way we endure is to celebrate what is true and sacred about life and reject the false and diseased.  We are strong and we are vital.  They are confused and they are fading away.  And especially at this time of year rejoice and have faith.

Got my first .22 when I was single digits old, was raised hunting, Marine Corps, and now life long competitive shooter with shotguns and rifles, so I know a little. I reload all my ammunition too.

I never start someone off with a full power pistol, trying to learn the basics of shooting while dealing with very loud muzzle blasts and recoil is a bit much. I always try to teach the basics with a .22 pistol before going to full power weapons.

The Browning below is one of my 22’s but it’s just 1 of a zillion perfectly good 22 pistols available. You learn to shoot, the ammo is cheap, not loud, just enough recoil to learn to expect it. If your first shot ever is from the 357 revolver below, you just may be intimidated enough to not really want to repeat the experience.

Disturbed Deputy on Handgun Choices

At my request the Disturbed Deputy has kindly posted a primer on handguns.  For non-gun-experts such as myself I thought this would be good information to have and interesting too.  Take a look and ask any questions you have in his comments section.  I’m looking for practical information about a home defense weapon for Camera Girl.  Of course while I’m in the compound nothing smaller than a Tyrannosaurus rex will require anything more deadly than a can opener because of my preternatural strength and reflexes but while she is home alone I’d like her to have an option to protect herself.  Of course she is a bloodthirsty wench and I am taking my chances that she won’t turn all film noir on me.  But what’s life without risk?

They Drive by Night (1940) – An OCF Classic Movie Review

This story about truckers back in the depression era is described as a film noir but I think I’d call it a melodrama.  George Raft and Humphrey Bogart are brothers Joe and Paul Fabrini.  They are partners in a long-haul trucking business.  They are owed money by the scheduler who assigns them loads and relatedly they owe money to the guy who sold them their truck.  We see them dealing with both sides of this debt relationship.  We also see how dangerous driving at the edge of exhaustion can be when their friend crashes his truck on the road in front of them because he fell asleep at the wheel.  And finally, it catches up with the Fabrinis.  Paul falls asleep at the wheel and drives off a slope.  The truck is totaled and because of his injuries Paul has his right arm amputated.  Joe breaks the news to Paul’s wife Pearl and she admits she is almost relieved that his disability will keep him from driving trucks ever again and at least spare his life.  Feeling responsible for what has happened to Paul Joe goes to an old friend of his Ed Carlsen (Alan Hale) who has a trucking company and obtains a driving job which will allow him to support Paul and Pearl.  But it won’t pay enough to allow Joe to marry his new girlfriend Cassie Harley (Ann Sheridan).  But there is a complication.  Ed’s wife Lana (Ida Lupino) is infatuated with Joe.  She talks Ed into making Joe the scheduler so that he’ll be around the garage and therefore easier for her to fraternize with.  But Joe refuses to go behind his boss and friend’s back with this unfaithful wife.  Finally, after being rejected categorically by Joe because of her status as Ed’s wife Lana goes crazy.  She drives Ed home from a party and after parking the car in the garage she leaves him drunk and passed out in the car and closes the garage door with the car engine on.  She explains the asphyxiation to the police as Ed sleeping drunk in the car as he often did and him somehow waking up, starting the engine and then falling back asleep.

With Ed gone Lana brings Joe into the business as a partner.  But now she finds out that Joe is engaged to be married.  She becomes enraged and tells Joe that she murdered Ed for him and won’t be separated from him for any reason.  Joe rebuffs her and walks away shocked.  Lana, now consumed by bitterness goes to the police and confesses that she murdered Ed but swears that Joe forced her to do it against her will.  Now there is a trial in which the circumstantial evidence provided by Lana makes Joe’s position very bad.  But when Lana finally testifies at the trial she has become totally unhinged through guilt.  She claims that she was compelled to kill Ed by the presence of the automatic garage door mechanism.  And she is dragged out of the courtroom laughing hysterically that it was the door that made her do it.

And so, we get the happy ending.  Joe owns the trucking business, Paul is his scheduler, the truckers admire and like Joe for his honest treatment and now Joe has the money to marry Cassie.

This movie is a product of the Hays Code.  Criminals have to be punished so we know that Lana is going to get her comeuppance and because Joe is a stand-up guy, he’ll end up okay.  And because this is a Warner Bros. studio production it has a lot of the character actors that were around at that time.  Alan Hale, Roscoe Karns and Charles Halton were some of the more memorable faces you see.  Karns has a relatively minor part as one of the truck drivers but he steals several scenes with his goofball manner and his fascination with playing the pinball games that seem to be in every diner that the truckers frequent along their routes between Los Angeles and San Francisco.  The camaraderie between the truckers and the diner personnel is a substantial portion of the movie and some of the more interesting dialog.  But the movie belongs to Raft and Lupino.  Her ill-fated infatuation for him powers the plot, such as it is.  As I said, I consider this a melodrama and not a great movie.  But the Raft’s interaction with the rest of the cast other than Lupino makes this movie an interesting slice of life from the depression era and full of human interest.  This is not a great movie but it’s fun to watch. I recommend it on that basis.

Who are You Going to Believe, Cable News Talking Heads or Your Own Damn Lying Eyes?

The Democrats, the Media and probably the Deep State have performed two miracles.  One is they committed election fraud on a scale that even Chicago’s late Mayor Richard Daley would never have dreamed of.  And the second miracle is they have given sight to the blind.  They performed these two miracles simultaneously right there in front of us in the early hours of November 4th.  The first of these events I knew of immediately upon seeing it.  Seeing President Trump up by 800,000 votes in Pennsylvania and then hearing that somehow, he was going to lose the state I could see that fraud so massive as to be unexplainable by rational voting patterns was being perpetrated.  The second miracle came to my attention this week.  I have spoken to people who have been able to believe even into late 2020 that we’re still living in normal times and that the people on the right-wing are alarmists and exaggerating the scope of the problems we face.  They were sure that with just the right tweaks to the agendas on the Left and Right we could all be singing kumbaya in the middle.  Well, I spoke with one of them this week and he said straight out, “You were right about everything.”  Seeing the election and then hearing the evidence on the scope of the election fraud finally broke through his shell and drew blood.  He was blind but now he sees.

Based on human nature I know that these recent converts are going to be very uncomfortable with the reality they’ve just awakened to.  It’s painful to know you don’t live in the democracy you thought you did.  This will lead to all kinds of dithering and rationalizing and confusion.  But he’s taken the first step to facing facts and figuring out how to deal with the reality he now recognizes.  And maybe he decides to cave into the Left.  But at least it will have to be a conscious decision and I won’t have to hear anymore excuses for why things always happen the way they do.

How many people did this election wake up?  I’m going to guess that it’s around ten million people.  That equates to about half of the voters in the middle.  These people don’t pay much attention to politics every day but they vote and they watch the election every four years.  They’ll be hard pressed to ignore what they saw.  Even with the networks providing cover for the Democrats there will be enough information getting through to let them know this wasn’t a normal election and that really bad things happened in the vote-counting rooms of the Democrat cities.

For the people who read on this site that’s hardly news.  We have been watching this happen for years and want the courts to do something about it.  We want to see the FBI step in.  And we also know why they haven’t.  But for the sleepwalkers among us this is a revelation.  Their world view is going to change.  And that’s a big damn thing.  And having it happen to so many people and having it happen at the same time as the COVID lockdown and the Antifa/BLM insurrection will exacerbate the outrage they will feel.

So, for any of the recently red-pilled brethren showing up at this site, welcome!  We don’t have any magic bullets here.  There are no saviors, no magic road to salvation.  All we have is clarity and camaraderie and news from the front.  We’re all in this for the long haul and we try to reclaim territory one square inch at a time.  Welcome aboard.
