Sun Tzu refered to the evil men who would burn their homeland to rule over the ashes.

I think the wheels are going to come off the US/Petrodollar deal that Nixon carved out over 50 years ago. Pull on your tinfoil beret, I personally believe the gold in Ft Knox bought that deal with the House of Saud, and they are now getting ready to after 50 years of meddling in our foreign policy mostly to their benefits, to dump us on the rubbish heap. Explain coherently why before the OPEC deal was signed that the tours to Ft Knox depository were shut down, and nobody has done an exact counting and inventory since ’72, at least one publicly available. I smell shenanigans, and am worried about the BRICS+ currency because it is gold backed, and has a large portion of both the worlds population and real estate to back it. By being gold backed it has an advantage over the Euro, or the Dollar, both of which are now straight up fiat “We Say So” bucks, only good because we say so.

I do not believe the oligarchy realize how few they are, and how many disillusioned and increasingly angry, bitter people are looking at them wondering why the WEF, and all the other asshats who fly in private jets to eat catered meals served to them by their underlings while they lecture us about our carbon footprint, and recommend we learn to downsize and enjoy “Micro Livestock” so they can shepherd us towards their brighter happier future.
The unelected enviro-nazis do not have any authority over me that I do not grant them, but somehow their wants are translated into the laws governing the US, and Europe while the “Poor unfortunate Asians” like India and China get a pass on all the environmental BS.

We have reduced our environmental impact and are decreasing our utilization of coal, oil and natural gas, while they build a new coal fired plant every 2 weeks. The Clinton administration locked up one of our supplies of low sulfur coal in Utah to help out campaign donors from Indonesia who coincidentally also export low sulfur coal, kinda cozy.
I know I am rambling, but that happens, I don’t think the US people will go gently into that long dark night without a struggle, and would prefer it to be sooner rather than kicking it down the road for my grandchildren to deal with.

Yep, the Canukistani po-po have given up. They now tell residents to hang their automobile key fòbs outside to make it easier for the car thieves to steal your car in hopes they will not go ahead and break in, armed,  and decide to take anything else of value including the virtue of any women or girls in the house. Of course you are forbidden from protecting your home and family yourself. If you so much as shake a stick at an armed robber he will shoot you in self defense and you will be charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Of course the guns, knives, and bludgeons of the criminals are never mentioned, just that said criminals were victims of right-wing fascism and they should be awarded the homeowner’s property in compensation.

ArthurinCali has put up an essay at his substack on the lifeless response of Americans to the destruction of their home.

He uses the analogy of a homeowner who allows neglect to allow a fixable problem to undermine his whole house.  I think the central statement is this:

“The bathroom scenario describes the mindset many in America have who see the problems being caused by several issues that are not going away simply by ignoring them. Mass immigration, unaddressed crime, and the near-total erosion of the rule of law are leading to many Americans adopting a stance of apathy and behavior modifications to avoid what is happening. They rationalize and use pretzel logic to fool themselves that the train is still on the track, norms and standards are still in place, and the best thing to do is continue down this path.”

Read the article at the link and see if you agree with the analogy.

Unfortunately, Haiti is run by tribalist gangs who now practice cannibalism of their rivals. Perhaps we should simply embargo them and let them solve their problems as the Kilkenny Cats did. Give it a year or two, then open the embargo and deal with the survivors.

For whatever reason, the Haitians seem incapable of self-governance on any basis other than a strongman dictatorship and that’s a best-case scenario.
It’s ironic that Haitians tend to be a successful US immigrant group on average. That’s probably because anyone with any sense, intelligence and ambition is more than ready to get out of that s*** hole (as Trump so delicately stated it).
I’ll bet the El Salvador method would work well there.

If you look at the island from satellite you can see very clearly the border with the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic is a tourism destination, but Haiti is not so much. They share an island, but do not share a culture. The problems in Haiti are more culture based, and less of a location issue. After every change of government, or natural disaster the western world tries to rebuild, or in the case of the Clinton foundation reloot this nation. You would think the serving of dirt cookies, and the reduction to cannibalism would serve as some sort of a warning about the eventual outcome of this.

HOW MANY FOREIGN MILITARY INTERVENTIONS HAVE THERE BEEN IN HAITI?
Since the early 1900s, there have been at least three major foreign military interventions in Haiti led by the United States and the United Nations.
The U.S. first occupied Haiti from 1915 to 1934.
Nearly 60 years later, the U.N. launched a peacekeeping mission in 1993, followed by the arrival of U.S. troops in 1994. Another intervention occurred in 2004. The first of those was to restore President Jean-Bertrand Aristide to power. The second followed a rebellion that removed him again.

Haiti for the Haitians.  Let them sort out their own problems.

People do not understand just how extreme the demographic changes to America have been since the 1960s and what this will mean for the future of American politics, policy, and culture. Although we are told constantly that the shift in population groups was inevitable, this is just not the case.

 

 

1960s were the start of the decline.

The majority Anglo-Saxon culture had a massive influence on the expected behaviors and standards in America from the beginning. It’s what shaped our politics, laws, and entire society. Many cannot imagine how much impact this had on the nation in the areas of social, political, and cultural mores.

In 1960, the US population

was roughly 180 million, with the breakdown being 158.8M White, 18.9M Black, and 1.6M all other groups. For perspective, the entire population in the US of neither White or Black would only fill up the city of Phoenix, Arizona today. *

*A simplification for illustrative purposes notwithstanding the multitude of different ethnic and religious factions.

The US population is now at 330 million

(with estimates even higher when including illegal immigration.), and shows no sign of decreasing or leveling off anytime soon.

Would a lack of the massive global immigration ushered in by the 1965 Hart-Cellar Act have given us a utopian society? Of course not. There still would be challenges and obstacles to face, but I tend to believe it would have had a less stratified result we see in society today if a firm majority were still in place.

I used to believe in civic nationalism and the idea of the global populace buying a ticket to the (American) story and ideals. Funnily enough, around the time I held these beliefs was 30+ years ago in an America that had a firmly entrenched demographic majority of Heritage Americans. (Roughly 75% IIRC) See, that’s kind of the paradox of the idea of a successful nation operating under civic nationalism in that you still need a majority ethnic population who puts their full faith in the mythos of said nation’s founding, institutions, and ideals. Once it hits a certain fracturing of population and becomes majority-minority, with no one group asserting dominance – this gives rise to overt tribal tendencies.

Friday is International Women’s Day.

My company has asked us all to:
1) Be Inclusive.
2) Wear Purple. (Apparently the color of IWD. It is said to signify justice, dignity and honor.)
3) Write appreciation cards to our female coworkers.
4) Post “Heart hands pictures”

Now, I am all for recognizing people who do good work, but why limit it to women?
In fact, point three seems to be in direct conflict with point one above.

As for point 4, I am not a teenaged girl.

Chemist, thank you bringing this important cultural occasion to our attention.  But some of these suggestions are problematic.  Purple is a problem for me.  Since I’m never sure if something is purple or blue I just call it “other blue.”  So maybe they can allow me to wear blue?  Of course sometimes something that looks red to me turns out to be purple which is why I sometimes call it “other red”  Would it be alright if I could also wear red?

I don’t think I should write appreciation cards to women.  I don’t think Camera Girl would like that very much.  Also I’m afraid if I got too specific about what I appreciate about them it could be taken the wrong way.  In fact I’m pretty sure there wouldn’t be a right way to take it.

As far as being inclusive can I include men in the International Women’s Day?  I’d like to appreciate Charlton Heston and Dwight D Eisenhower.  I don’t think either of them get enough appreciation for their understated efforts.  Heston’s work in Planet of the Apes and Soylent Green is somewhat underrated.  And Eisenhower did get things going on the whole interstate highway thing which I really appreciate when I cross state lines.  So can I include these two men?

Ah, heart hands!  You really shouldn’t miss out on that.  That really looks like fun.

So let’s all try to embrace International Women’s Day.  Although be careful embracing women.  I know Camera Girl frowns on me embracing many women either international or domestic.  She’s made this very clear.
