Wake Up from the 2024 Dream

Donald Trump has proven that even on hostile turf, like a CNN “town hall” he can more than hold his own.  In fact, he made them look like the chumps they are.  The petulant moderator came off as a middle school hall monitor almost constantly hectoring the former president with subjective corrections to almost everything Trump asserted.  And the audience was in Trump’s pocket.  They cheered his punchlines and took his part in the argument.

So, candidate Trump has a solid base of Republican voters who want him to be the nominee.  And sure, why shouldn’t he be the candidate.  But I think a lot of folks no longer think we’re going to get anywhere by electing politicians to spend four years in Washington DC being undermined by the FBI, the Justice Department and the rest of the Deep State.

We’ve just seen this movie.  Even if by some miracle Donald Trump wins the 2024 election and ends up in the White House, what’s going to be different?  How does he make the FBI follow his orders?  How does he get the Defense Department to end their wars?  When he ordered the Pentagon to end the Afghanistan war, they ignored him.  Just flat out ignored him.

Going into that charade again without a plan for making the outcome different is a complete waste of time we don’t have.  Things are already at the breaking point in large sections of the population.  Dooming people to waiting four more years or even two years is a death sentence.

If Trump and DeSantis and the rest of the Republican leaders had half a brain they’d have already sat down together and begun putting together an agenda that concentrated on what could be done right now on the state and local level.  They should have a plan that included initiatives that could be implemented over the next year and a half and then two separate plans to be implemented after that.  One plan would be used if the Republicans took back the White House and the other one would be used if they didn’t.  It’s as simple as that.

What I’m saying is that conservative politics can no longer be pursued as if it’s a gentleman’s pastime that’s dusted off every four years and then put back on the shelf if the Democrats win.  If we don’t start pushing back right now and wherever it can be done it won’t matter whether we “win the next one.”  Because there won’t be anyone left who will care.  Another four years of new Americans will replace four years of Americans.  The tipping point has already been reached.

So, Trump, DeSantis and the rest of you “leaders,” wake up!  Sit down together and start planning for the big picture.  The clock is ticking and your window of opportunity is closing.  Fighting each other to be the losing candidate in 2024 is a singularly meaningless waste of time.  Sure, one of you can be the candidate.  But it should be a unity government that represents a consensus on what the platform must be.  And those idiots in the House and Senate must be dope slapped until they cooperate with the plans and preparations that the state leaders decide upon.

Anyway, that’s my read on all this.

The Rallying Cry of 2024 – Defund the Deep State

Let’s face it, the political activism in 2022 is a purely defensive crouch.  Taking back the House and Senate are the equivalent of bringing your arms and hands over your face while you’re on the ground being pummeled.  It’s hardly a 4D chess move.  But if we’re ever going to accomplish anything against the Leviathan in DC, we will need to starve it out.

I think the first step is to cap all federal salaries at $54,132 which is the median US salary and freeze hiring except at the discretion of the President.  Then start punishing the Deep State swamp creatures by making their lives much less fun.  Move the State Department to Baltimore and the FBI to St. Louis and reassign the sensitive jobs to direct appointees of the President.  Then reduce and simplify the income tax so it can be done with sixth grader math and convert 90% of the employees of the IRS into public restroom attendants in the high crime districts of America.

So even this guerilla warfare against the Deep State would be just the warning shots.  Whole agencies will have to be reinvented.  The FBI and the CIA have to be defanged.  In addition to repealing the Patriot Act and the FISA Courts all of the bad actors that staged the coup against Trump must be removed from positions of authority and put in charge of counting paper clips and shredding paper.  And the new work that is determined to be valuable will be given to people who won’t have the power to attack the American people again.  Those powers will be removed from the jobs.

Another priority is to legislate the venue for trials against federal employees to be in areas that don’t house large bureaucracies.  The spectacle of John Durham’s prosecutions all being acquitted proves just what kind of justice you can expect in Washington DC.

Now let’s think of what some of the consequences of this kind of change will be.  First of all, it will impoverish the Greater Washington DC area.  How great is that?  Rents and property values will collapse.  Hobo jungles will spring up in Georgetown and Chevy Chase.  PBS documentarians will be able to interview people like Antony Blinken and Merrick Garland as they huddle around a trash fire cooking their mulligan stew and hear disoriented stories about how they used to be somebody.  And DC will revert to a slightly warmer Newark, New Jersey.

I understand that there are many priorities that vie for a place among what needs to be done to save this country from the disaster that is overtaking us.  But directly attacking and taking the food out of the mouths of truly dangerous people like the deranged bureaucrats that torture us on a daily basis should be right at the top of that list.  In the long run finally getting the budget under control will require paring down the federal bureaucracy so we might as well get some fun out of it too.

And defunding the Deep State does not mean we should neglect to prosecute the bad actors who’ve done so much harm in the last few years.  I just think it will be easier and more effective if we first remove them from power.  Once you’re only earning a third of what you once were you have bigger problems than promulgating new laws on pronouns.  Instead, they’ll be concentrating on making that huge mortgage payment.  That’s the time to drag them into court to answer for their past sins.

Now the problem with all this is that legislators have a very cozy relationship with the bureaucrats.  Attacking them is tantamount to betrayal.  That is why the influx of outsiders like Marjorie Taylor Greene is such a great thing.  These people aren’t beholden to the Deep State.  The problem is they’re a handful in a sea of insiders.  This is why I almost despair of how much still has to be done.  But there’s no reason not to define the problem.  And that’s why I still bang this drum.  Carthago delenda est.

Ferraris, Dessert and Women Irked by Trump

I was out of pocket today.  AWOL, off the reservation, footloose and fancy free.  I was communing, consorting and other wise hobnobbing with my fellow wizards.  We went to this car show in a very ritzy town.  The cars were parked up and down two sides of the street in this town.  Hundreds of them.  It had a lot of extremely expensive cars.  Ferraris, Jaguars, Lamborghinis, Porsches, Bentleys and even less familiar luxury cars.  There were also some antique cars from the 30’s like Packards and some very cool old Fords.  And some high-performance cars from the 60’s; Stingrays and such.  I walked for hours and took a million pictures.

Then we got back to our host’s home and his gracious wife feasted us on an Italian meal.  It was one delicacy after another ending off with some delicious pastries.  And in between we talked politics.  There were two camps of thought.  One group said that DeSantis should be president.  The other said we need Trump.  I’m a big fan of DeSantis’s but I was in the second camp.  One of the attendants mirrored my thinking.  He said we need Trump because he motivates the Deplorables.  And he knows how to avoid being played by the Left.  He also pummels the Establishment Republicans when they get in the way.

The DeSantis camp basically are afraid that Trump will lose by scaring off moderates.  I clarified by saying they’re afraid he’ll scare off women.  I contended that Trump irks women.  And one of the wives who was present confirmed this assertion.  She said, “That’s right, he irks me and I think he irks a lot of women.”

And that’s a basic truth about Donald Trump.  He irks women.  He irks some other people too but the fact that he irks women is diagnostic.  Trump irks women because he says rude things, mean things, cruel things.  But many of the cruel things he says are true.  As a rule, women are more social than men.  They pay more attention to the impact on other people’s emotions of the things they say.  Women are more polite, more diplomatic.  They are the opposite of Donald Trump.  Trump says things to get a reaction.  Insulting his enemies and even his “allies” that aren’t aligned with his goals is a minute-to-minute calculation.  He is always saying “mean things” on Twitter.

But we need that.  Badly.  I tried to make the point that we need Trump to win in 2024.  We also need DeSantis to be his Vice President, almost his Co-President.  And I think Trump actually needs DeSantis more than DeSantis needs him.  We need someone who can drain the swamp.  Donald Trump tried in 2017 – 2021 and completely failed.  Maybe Pence was part of the reason for that failure.  Maybe this time DeSantis can be the surgeon Trump needs to lobotomize the Deep State.

At least that’s my read on what is needed.  Trump knows the policies he wants but he needs someone who can translate that agenda into an assault on the insurrectionist agencies of the Executive Branch in order to make those policies happen.

Was I able to change any minds?  I don’t know but I made my case and I could see some of the reasons why Trump has so many detractors on the Right.  Americans, and American women especially are polite, friendly people.  They don’t want to be attacked, especially not by friends.  But what it is time to do is to point out to these people that sometimes the truth is cruel and hurts some people.  And that the truth is its own defense.  Ignoring or denying the truth because it is ugly, hurtful or cruel isn’t going to make it go away.

The Democrats won’t be able to ignore or deny the truth of what they have done to this country.  And just because it is Donald Trump who will be pointing these things out in his own inimitable and caustic way won’t allow them to ignore what is being said.  It’s just too ugly for politeness to bandage over.

In 2024 Trump will be the bitter medicine for those who voted for Biden in 2020.  I don’t know if there’s any sugar that can make it easier to swallow.  And I don’t care.

What I Want to Hear From the 2024 Candidate

Whether Donald Trump runs for president again and whether he or someone else wins the nomination that man owes us something. He owes us a blueprint of how he is going to change America back into a free country again. Here’s my wish list.
1) He has to explain how he’s going to make the Justice Department accountable to the presidency again.
2) Fire 90% of the FBI and start over. Get them out of the business of spying on Americans.
3) He has to show how he will eliminate or at least reform the Patriot Act.
4) He has to pledge to fire Anthony Fauci if the dirtbag is still employed by the federal government at that point.
5) He has to explicitly detail how he will deport all the illegal immigrants that invaded our country during the Obama and Biden administrations.
6) He has to criminalize any city or state using selective enforcement of laws by police and prosecutors to punish its own citizens. Especially for racial reasons. That means any state allowing BLM or Antifa to attack its own citizens will be punished severely.
7) He has to detail the plan he will use to get the Supreme Court to rule against affirmative action.
8) He has to detail the plan he will use to get the Supreme Court to restore the right to free association.
9) He has to detail the plan he will use to get the Supreme Court to reconsider the constitutional right to same-sex marriage .
10) He has to detail the plan he will use to get the Supreme Court to review all the restrictions on free speech that “woke-ism has spawned.
11) He has to shut down the Education Department.
12) He needs to pass a parents’ bill of rights that protects children from teachers and social workers who want to usurp parents’ authority to raise their children as they see fit.
13) He needs to provide school vouchers for parents who don’t like what the public schools provide either academically or socially.
14) He has to show the leadership to fund safe nuclear power plants. Some day we’ll run out of fossil fuels and we need a cheap source of energy to produce a fuel for our cars. Nuclear provides it.
15) He needs to punish the globalists who de-industrialized the United States and reward companies who will re-industrialize our country.
16) He needs to emulate Hungary and come up with federal incentives for women to stay home and raise more than a couple of kids.
17) He needs to prosecute the Silicon Valley companies for discriminating against conservatives.
18) He needs to bust up the monopolies, especially Amazon and Google.
19) He needs to prosecute anti-white bias in all its forms.
20) Outlaw gender re-assignment “medicine” for any patient under the age of thirty.

Now my list probably doesn’t match the one you have in your head. But I’m sure I’ve covered a lot of the same bases. I could have added even more. Things like homosexuals and women in the military but that’s enough for now. Have to save something for the second term. I’m interested in feedback on this one. What would you add? Will 2022 Do Anything Substantive to Fix Our Government?

A year from now every congressman and a third of the senators will be up for re-election.  Also, a bunch of governors, attorneys general and state legislatures will be voted on too.  Based on the current horror show that Biden has concocted it seems pretty certain that the Democrats will lose at least the House and very probably the Senate too.  Now that’s a pretty good thing.  It would block any new radical legislation that Dementia Joe’s handlers have in mind.  It would block any Supreme Court justices that were as bad as Merrick Garland would have been.  It would limit the damage to executive orders that can be reversed.

But we’ve been down this road so many times before.  1994, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2010, 2016.  Every time we get some remarkable success in capturing or holding the Congress or the Presidency or both we just end up at best treading water or more likely losing ground.  So, the question I’m asking is will this time be any different?  And the answer is no.  Unless they’re willing to take drastic measures.

To my way of thinking the best path forward would be the following.  In 2022 and 2024 the Republicans should do whatever they can to win back the Congress and the Presidency.  That will require the swing states to clean up their voter fraud problem.  That is absolutely necessary.  They should also shore up as many state governments as they can control.  Then in 2025 the President and the Congress need to clean out the intelligence agencies of as much of the cabal as they can find.  Fire everyone who participated in the 2016 coup.  Likewise, they need to clear out the military of all the mutinous officers’ corps starting with General Milley.  Then they need to pass as much legislation as they can to dismantle the surveillance state starting with repealing the Patriot Act.  Of course, they’ll have to eliminate the filibuster but this will be a one-shot deal anyway.  Then while the Republicans have control of Washington, they need to pass a law that allows states to peacefully secede from the United States.  At that point we can divvy up the armed forces and the nuclear arsenal and settle the currency issues and say goodbye.  We’ll even donate John Roberts to the Blue States for their very own all progressive Supreme Court.

Of course, this sounds like a pipe dream but the beauty of it is that each step is legal, doable and leads to a state that can’t be undone in the next election cycle.  Of course, when I say doable, I mean that it can be done by competent and dedicated men.  Cleaning out the intel agencies and the armed forces will take people familiar with how these agencies work and the courage to challenge powerful and dangerous individuals.  Donald Trump wasn’t able to do that.  Whoever takes the White House away from the Democrats next is going to have to be ready to dismantle the Deep State or else he will fail the same as every other Republican before him.
