And I Believe That to be the Truth

Well, I’m glad I got Thursday’s post out of my system.  Knowing just how deep the divide in this country is can be really depressing.  But today I made a point to stop viewing horrible people saying the horrible things that they believe.  And that has made a big difference.

I looked around and found plenty of good people talking about the constructive things going on all over this country.  I went to the Dunwich Republican Town Committee meeting and we got three new members and we finished the meeting in half the time we usually take and that’s some kind of record.  So, the world isn’t better or worse than it was a week ago.  All that’s changed is we know a lot more clearly just how many awful people are walking around in the country.  There are millions and millions of them.  Some are careful about speaking their true opinions and some are so full of entitlement that they’ll just spew their poisonous hate right out loud.  But regardless, they all hate us and what we value, to a degree that’s hard to exaggerate.

And this exposure, this unmasking is one of the greatest gifts we could hope to receive.  This will awaken the oblivious.  Of course, not all of them.  It won’t awaken the walking dead from the neck up.  But lots of normies have gotten a wake-up call that they’ll remember.  They’re finding out that trans-people aren’t these kind, gentle invalids that we have to handle with kid gloves or they’ll perish of sadness.  No, they’re delusional psychopaths hopped up on drugs and hormones and full of anger and resentment against anyone who doesn’t affirm their psychoses or just wants to avoid them.  And that is exactly what is needed; recognition of reality.  These people are delusional and if you attack their delusion, they and their friends feel completely justified by “defending themselves” by murdering you!

I was also enheartened to hear President Trump has declared Antifa a criminal terrorist entity.  I was listening to some guy on a podcast say that Antifa doesn’t fit the correct definition of a domestic terror organization.  He was some kind of think-tank expert.  Well, that may be technically true but I doubt that it will stop Donald Trump from attacking these people wherever and whenever he can reach them.  And after watching Kash Patel telling the moronic Democratic senators what he really thought of them I’m feeling more comfortable with the FBI’s current posture with regard to domestic terror.  Maybe we’re finally going to see a bunch of black block foot soldiers get squashed.

And jus to round off my improving week, I sent out a bunch of copies of my manuscript of “The Sniper” to some beta readers for comment.  I’m very excited to get honest feedback.  And I told my readers to be as brutally honest as the can be.  I’m very interested to see if they identify the same strengths and weaknesses in the story that I find.  Of course, if they all say it’s boring worthless dreck that may put a damper on my spirit.  But the Good Book says, “The truth shall set you free.”  And I do believe that.

Various Kinds of Pruning

Monday was a good day at work.  Progress was made and I’ve got a much better understanding of what we’re going to be up against in the next couple of weeks.  Sure, madness will break out now and then.  But it’s not just this fog of ignorance.  There’s the beginning of planning and a path forward.

And there’s the situation going on in the world.  Charlie Kirk’s murder is disgusting and the more details that come out the worse it shows the Left’s psychotic fringe to be.  These people aren’t merely insane.  They have ceased to be human.  The assassin was a “furry.”  The fact that his “partner” was trans wasn’t enough.  He also pretended to be an animal.  These people are so far beyond help that simple execution might be the kindest thing we could do for them.

Hopefully Kash Patel is up to the job he needs to do.  Proving conspiracy by all the other members of Robinson’s associates is the first step.  Then he must widen out the investigation to locate the entire Antifa network and trace back their money to the donors and NGO’s that fund them.  It would be nice if Obama gets caught up in that net.  But first things first.  Shut off the money and arrest the ringleaders who call the shots.  Without them and the money, the small fry psychos will wander off and starve on the streets.

I’ve heard Trump is pivoting from invading Chicago with ICE and the National Guard to going to Portland, Oregon instead.  Now that’s an interesting idea.  Portland probably has the highest per capita number of trans weirdos, Antifa thugs and homeless drug addicts of any city in the country.  It would be the perfect place to haul away tractor trailers full of degenerates and psychopaths.  But I hope they’ve planned this carefully to avoid injury among law enforcement and maximize the jail time meted out to the Antifa “community.”  I know they like throwing Molotov cocktails at law enforcement.  Intelligence will be needed.  But Portland is definitely in need of pruning.

I have a feeling I’ll be self-publishing my book.  I don’t think there are many traditional publishers who are brave enough to embrace my dystopian world of armed insurrection against the deep state.  It is pretty radical.  I’m still trying to learn the basics of book marketing; especially advertising on Amazon and elsewhere on the web.  But I have gotten the book out there in the real world now.  I have a friend reading it and I’m very interested in getting his feedback.  My intention is to decide one way or the other about self-publishing and then send out a bunch of copies of the manuscript to friends and associates and see what they think.  It’s pretty heady stuff to even have a small audience read your words.

The weather has been summer-like for the last few days and the forecast is for another couple of weeks of the same.  That should allow me to handle the winterizing chores easily and plan for next year’s spring.  Probably the highlight of the garden season was the thornless raspberries.  I took a chance that they were the kind that mature in one season.  I cut all the canes to the ground and added a bunch of fertilizer and they grew like crazy and spread and produced tons of fruit.  In fact, they’re not done yet.  Next year I’ll do the same (cut down and fertilize) and I expect them to spread to almost double where they are now.  We’ll have to give them away to strangers.  But I’ll eat a ton of them myself.  They’re delicious.

Well, that’s enough talk of pruning for Monday.

 

 

Ending the Woke Madness

I’m just plain disgusted with humanity today.  We’ve reached a very low point.  The fact that this kid Robinson could come from a good family in a very conservative area and still end up as a far-left psycho involved with a “transgender woman” and at twenty-two years old assassinate someone so that he has ended his own life either literally or effectively, sickens me.  The world has become insane.

What seems apparent is that colleges have now become leftist indoctrination centers.  And the only way out is to set up a network of normal colleges to act as an alternative in order to protect young minds from this poison.  I think that’s the only thing that can be done.

As for those who have already been brainwashed, I think it’s too late for them.  I don’t think there is a “deprogramming” protocol that will work.  Somehow, we will need to protect ourselves from these rabid individuals and find ways to interact with only the normal.  I haven’t thought this stuff out deeply.  It’s just my visceral reaction to what has gone on this week.  But I think it’s important to continue the government program to defund all institutions of higher education that indulge in DEI.  But more than that it’s time to stop funding colleges that have disciplines like Queer Studies.  If a college decides that this is meaningful education for young people then it should find its own money to fund it.  And that goes for any “study” that is essentially a grievance group complaining about the United States or “whiteness” or any other woke hatred subject.

A society, no matter how freedom-loving has to have limits to freedom.  We already draw the line at pedophilia.  I think we’re going to need to revisit the way we look at deviant sexuality in general.  If it is thrown back to the states that should be enough for now.  This will allow certain areas of the country to reestablish normalcy as an operating principle.  And if there are places for deviants to go to practice their sexual preferences like the West Coast and the Northeast then there shouldn’t be a problem deporting these people from the other areas of the country.  That would seem to be a humane way to remove them from the environment.  Win/win.

As I said, I’m pretty disgusted with the current situation in our country (and globally).  It’s going to take a lot of work to make much of an improvement on the current sorry state.  I guess the real first step will be for the Justice Department to uproot Antifa.  That all by itself will be enormously difficult.  But it is such an important job that we should be able to tell very soon whether it’s being tackled or not.  My way to measure whether anything is being done will be whether co-conspirators are named in the Charlie Kirk assassination.    From what I’ve heard there were many people aware beforehand that this murder was scheduled.  It is the Justice Department’s duty to find these people, prove their involvement and indict them for murder.

If that does not happen, things will not improve.

Do Something Useful

So, what have I learned from this week?  The Left believes that anyone who disagrees with their truths deserves death.  Literally.  So, this confirms what has been said about leftist ideology being a religion.  And if you blaspheme against their religion, they will declare a fatwah against you and then execute you.  This resembles Islam remarkably well.  Therefore, what we are dealing with are religious fanatics who do not recognize our right to peaceful coexistence.

Well, that’s the definition of an existential enemy.  And that is the lesson to remember.  Regardless of what lies they offer up to foolish people; they are not your friends or countrymen.  You do not laugh with glee at the death of a fellow American.  They are not Americans.  They are not normal people.  They are truly depraved and anyone who justifies this behavior is part of that cult.  So that’s the truth.  Now, the important thing to figure out is how you go forward knowing this truth?  What behaviors, tactics and strategies should be employed in the environment that contains millions of people like these?

One thing that works well is exposing them when they reveal themselves as they did this week.  Matthew Dowd got himself canned from MSNBC, of all places, because he was incautious enough to say what he really believed.  He explicitly said that a murder victim was responsible for his own murder.  Not the murderer, not even “mental illness” but the victim himself.  So even the morons on MSNBC knew they couldn’t save Dowd.

And the same kind of thing is happening all over the country mostly with school teachers, social workers and health care workers.  But a smattering of other idiots (including an active Secret Service agent) is finding themselves unemployed for celebrating the death of a man whose only crime was being too good at debating cultural issues on campus.  In addition to firing these mutants it is important to expose them to the light of day.  All of their neighbors should know who they are.  No one should be uninformed as to their mental illness.  They shouldn’t be mistakenly voted into local office or allowed to babysit your kids.  They should be shunned for the unclean pariahs that they are.

So, it behooves everyone to pay attention to these people when they reveal themselves.  I’ll be looking on-line to see who in Dunwich goes over to the dark side and celebrates Charlie Kirk’s murder.  I live in a blue state so I can only escape the mutants by one day fleeing the region.  But the Dunwich local scene is different.  There I can definitely have an impact on just how depraved things can get.  Shaming and pointing to what they’ve said is the way to reveal what monsters they truly are.

Well, that’s about it.  I guess the other thing that all this brings up is that it’s time for the FBI to step up and root out Antifa once and for all.  The fact that these people aren’t already in jail strikes me as negligence by the Trump Justice Department.  Come on boys, get on the stick and use all that federal power that was used against us for the last four years.  Do something useful.

It Just Seems Too Easy

Regardless of whether you watch left-leaning or right-leaning news outlets you can’t miss the fact that Trump is bulldozing the Washington establishment into the ground and increasing his popularity from day to day.  And both sides (when they’re being honest) agree that they’ve never seen anything like this transition.  Trump is getting his people confirmed by the Senate and he’s removing people from the federal bureaucracy that he sees as impediments; prosecutors, inspectors general, generals, you name it.  He’s even going after birthright citizenship.  His deportation initiative is going full speed ahead and has found allies in some blue cities.  Nothing seems off the table.  He’s a juggernaut.  So why does this make me think there’s a George Floyd or a COVID pandemic about to be unleashed on us?

I guess I’m surprised at how smoothly it’s all going.  Could the Left have been so completely flummoxed by Trump’s victory and his organization that they can’t fight back at all?  I have read that a network of antifa and LGBTQ freaks are communicating on TikTok about attacking ICE agents doing their jobs.  I’ve also read that they’re discussing assassinating Trump.  And if I’ve heard these things then obviously everyone on the Left knows about it already.  This jibes with what’s already going on.  Apparently the two assassins who killed the Border agent in Vermont were transgender freaks of one sort or the other.  So, there is some stuff going on.  But all of this seems pretty tame compared to what I imagine the Left could put out on the street if they unleashed all of the psychopaths they command.  So that is what I’m wondering about.  Is this the calm before the storm?

Now maybe it’s the case that without the FBI and Justice Department running interference for them, that antifa and the other leftist goons aren’t a very effective force.  I’m assuming the FBI is right now in panic mode wondering when their jobs are going to be pulled out from under them.  That might be the simple answer.  Or maybe it takes time to plan and organize a color revolution in 2025.  Maybe they’re looking to publicize a mistake made by ICE agents during a deportation arrest.  Possibly a child hurt or killed during some firefight with gang members or drug traffickers.  Or maybe they’re looking for a valid US citizen accidentally mistaken for an illegal alien.  Possibly that’s what they’re looking for to spark a firestorm against Trump’s administration.

Of course, it’s also possible that the popularity of Trump’s agenda will protect him from even some problems and mistakes that inevitably will happen in something as massive and difficult as finding and deporting tens of millions of people hiding in the general population.  The scope of such an endeavor is sobering to consider.  It will consume enormous resources in dollars and man-hours.  It will not happen quickly or easily.  But so far people are increasingly supportive of this project as it becomes a reality.  Especially as we see him going after gangs and cartels that are wreaking havoc in cities across the country.

So maybe I’m wrong.  Maybe it’s just winning all the way down.  But for some reason it seems too easy.

The Insecurity State

Recently I was part of a training exercise that was meant to update the kinds of risks that might occur during the workday.  And most of it was what everyone expects; fire, flood, power outage, tornadoes and hurricanes, earthquakes(?), downed power lines, automobile crashes, etc.

And after several hours and hundreds of questions that were meant to flesh out our thoughts about what would have to be done in these circumstances, I was thoroughly bored (as you could imagine).  But then we got to the really wacky stuff.  We got to the active shooter, hostage taking, suspicious powder in a letter, malicious drones and angry mob scenarios.

Now I had gone through what-ifs for active shooters, hostage situations and anthrax attacks.  But killer drones and mob violence was new.  And (as you could imagine) some of my answers started getting a little humorous.  Even the instructors were a little tongue in cheek when it came to events like the angry mob (actually called large combative protest group).  Our predictable answer was to summon the police. Lock the doors and provide information to employees and bystanders and shelter from the demonstrators.  But when first asked for my plan I said, “I’d recruit a squad of able-bodied men armed with salad tongs and cafeteria trays and wade into the center of the mob.”  This got some chuckles and some frowns.

Suffice it to say that our answers were very perfunctory and tended toward actions that revolved around calling for police support, summoning emergency workers such as utility companies, calling for an ambulance and providing the kind of first response help that usually doesn’t accomplish much.  So afterward I didn’t think much about the training but later it occurred to me that drone attacks and mob violence are both now solidly in the center of the radar screen for corporations and governments.

And they’re right.  Ten years ago, drones were toys that photographers were starting to buy to get interesting and difficult to capture perspectives on photographic subjects.  Now they’re almost the primary weapons of war.  They can take out a tank or a trench full of infantrymen.  They can spy on people in their homes and even attack other drones.

And everyone is now aware that mob violence is a favorite tactic of Leftist groups like BLM and Antifa.  And, of course, the favorite answer we had for the trainer; calling for the police and waiting for their arrival, isn’t really an answer when the police have been instructed to stand down and let the mostly peaceful mob sack and torch your home.  As far as the drone scenario, chances are the drone belongs to the federal government and if you attempt to interfere with its activities, I’m guessing that will just increase the charges against you to include malicious destruction of government property.

What I’m trying to say here is that we live in very troubled times.  None of these scenarios are what Americans of fifty years ago would consider things to worry about or plan to survive.  But today, if you don’t you may be putting yourself at risk.  Even twenty years ago home invasions and carjackings only happened in the worst parts of the worst cities.  Now they happen in Beverly Hills and the Upper East Side of Manhattan.  We live in the dystopic future that science fiction writers imagined back in the 1970s.  And we’ve just kind of accepted it.  And that is the scariest thing of all.

A Reckoning

Watching the bizarre scenes from the various campus “protests,” I thought, what a strange point in American history.  America conquers the world and then tries to swallow the world.  But in the process, loses its soul.  Or maybe its identity.  Or more exactly its elites try to cast off the European based identity of the western world in order to fool the world into thinking the West equals the world.  And maybe it’s a brilliant ploy that would cement the entire world into eternal subservience to the elites.

But it also means that we, the regular people, become no one.  The New Testament (Mark 8:36) says, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”  And we’re not even the ones gaining the whole world.  We’re just losing the little bit we had.

These geniuses who run everything.  These billionaires playing ten-dimensional chess with artificial intelligence; pulverizing and homogenizing all the human bits of the world into a gray paste that they can sell back to us in a plastic bottle; have it all figured out.  TikTok is the new rock and roll.  They hypnotize the kids by selling them this vapid product by the minute or the fifteen second, whatever happens to be the attention span they’ve reduced their audience to.

And this is nothing completely new.  The mass culture has been selling this since the invention of the phonograph and the motion picture.  What’s new has been the removal of anything resembling the original American or even Western culture.  What’s left is pathetic.  Childish at best.  More like infantile.  Dysfunctional and ranging into deviance in multiple directions.  It’s as if the intention is to divert a whole generation into a dead end where they will be dependent on the government to keep them alive but completely helpless.

And I think they’ve been successful.  Most of the next generation are doomed to a marginal existence that will not include marriage, home ownership or children.  They are a termination.

So, the important question is how to pluck your own family and friends out of this dead end and put them on the path to life?  I guess you have to do it every day.  You have to preach the good word of normalcy.  Tell the kids that the real secret of life is to make yourself a useful, capable human being and then find a mate and build a family.  And try to encourage them to strive for the things that are hard to do.  And by all means provide moral and financial support and advice when you think you have information that they lack.

Watching those morons on the campuses act out their Che Guevera pantomime has been a fascinating reminder that since the Occupy Wall Street movement back in the Obama era we have been watching a lost generation demanding that the government pick them up off the playground floor and give them their pudding cup to soothe them for being complete losers.  They want Communism not because they think it’s just but because they’re too lazy and stupid to even try to live.

The red states are going to have to cut off welfare to the useless so that these people will retreat to the blue states where they can be stacked up in two by six cubicles, fed their daily ration of crickets and narcotized with porn and pot as they await the blessed release of death.  All of these people will have to be swept away.  They don’t want to live.  They just want to be plugged into their matrix.

There’s no way to keep this absurd thing going.  There has got to be a reckoning.

The Student Protests

The news has been full of accounts of students setting up tent cities on the grounds of Columbia University and other elite schools around the country.  They are protesting their universities’ failure to stop the Gaza war.  Well, of course that’s ridiculous.  How exactly would Columbia University stop the Israeli Defense Forces?  How many nuclear weapons can Columbia University field?  At last count I think it is still zero.  To be fair to the cretins in tents, what they want is for their university to divest of any Israeli stocks and any stocks of companies that make weapons that the US government provides to Israel.

All of this angst is reminiscent of the student protests in the 1960s and 1970s over the war in Vietnam.  The same tired playbook is being used.  The radicals are disrupting the education process and garnering as much attention in the media as they can and attempting to get the presidential race wrapped into their cause.

You know it’s a funny thing.  When I see these useless people and hear them speak about their confused take on the Gaza War, I despise them and wish that the police would drown them in pepper spray and tase them into submission, tie ropes around their feet and drag them away.

And in the red states that’s more or less what is happening.  In these states they want the colleges to educate their kids and there’s no room or time for Bolshevik Theatrics.  You can watch the state police drag the wannabe antifa players off to jail.  But in the People’s Republic they beg and plead with their toddlers to eat their vegetables and un-occupy the Bursar’s Office, pretty please.  And I guess we’re supposed to be upset if the mental patients are running the asylum.  “Something must be done!”

But when I think about it a little, I say, “Who cares?”  My family doesn’t go to Columbia, Harvard or Berkley.  We couldn’t afford to and we wouldn’t be accepted.  So why should I care that the type of people they do accept wants to put on this silly passion play?  I sure don’t.  In fact, I’d be thrilled if they burned Harvard, Yale, Columbia and the rest of the Ivy League right down to the ground.  I’d buy the DVD and watch it at Christmas.  It would be a job well done.

And why should I care if they lay siege to the Democratic National Convention?  Let them.  Let them occupy all of Chicago if they want (although I wonder if the gang-bangers will be intimidated by the Zoomer protesters).  For all I know this is like the Summer of George Floyd and will allow the Left to consolidate its hold on the youth vote.

But either way, what it makes me think is how little I have in common with these people who inhabit the Left.  The future I care about will not be decided by the students protesting at Columbia.  The uselessness of those students will lead nowhere.  They will not become leaders or anything else.  Most of them won’t even leave children after them.  The women are unlovable and the “men” are feeble children.

The young people I care about are the ones who are looking around themselves and trying to figure out a way to scratch out a normal life.  Learn a skill, get a job, find a wife, raise a family.  Real life.  Not sleeping in a tent on a college quadrangle and pretending to be a revolutionary while your parents pay that university a hundred thousand dollars a year.  Figuring out how to help these young people, in my case, my grandchildren, is the most important consideration any older person can have.

As for the Ivy League Intifada, honestly who cares?

Stupid in High and Low Places

Putting aside Trump (meaning his trials and the Supreme Court’s review of them and the various election stories) I guess the big story this week are all the campus protests for Gaza.    From what I can see, really lame leftists on various campuses across the country are building encampments and screaming obscenities about Israel in particular and the Jews and the military in general and demanding peace or death or both or neither for Palestinians, Israelis, College presidents, soldiers, Joe Biden or everybody.

I watched some pretty hilarious footage of what happens when Georgia, Indiana, Arizona, Illinois and Ohio state troopers are told to arrest really lame leftist protestors.  I tell you it does my heart good to hear these dopey kids screaming and crying and cursing at the police as they’re being slammed to the ground and zip-tied and dragged away.  Even some of the loopy leftist professors got into the act.  One dopey woman who said she was a professor slapped one of the cops in the head and got the deluxe treatment.

So, what can I make of all this?  Well, I’m guessing that anything that makes it less likely that Zoomers will vote for Joe Biden is a very good thing.  I also think that the Israelis had better decide whether they want to finish off the threat from Hamas in Gaza or not.  If they end the fight without taking complete control over Gaza they will be back where they started and can anticipate the same kinds of attacks in the future.  But I admit it’s a difficult situation when the whole world is accusing you of “genocide” and even your main supporter, the United States begins wavering.  My advice to Netanyahu is hurry up and finish the mission.  Of course, that’s easier said than done.  The Israelis are going to have to transfer the entire population of Gaza into a refugee camp and search each person and all their possessions one by one and then purge the Gaza strip of all weapons and contraband and then begin resettling them.  And then they’ll have to permanently patrol the whole enclave to prevent Hamas from returning to power.  That’s a daunting task.  But when you’re dealing with implacable hate, extreme measures are inevitable.

Jewish Americans are finding out how the Left treats their various constituencies.  You think that they’re your friends until some other more important cause or constituency comes between you and them and then they attack you as if you’re as evil as Trump himself.  They’ll attack you personally and vilify you in the public space and allow terrible people to say and do terrible things to you and your friends.  Well, that’s the reality.  We all have to pick sides in this extremely binary political system.  And if you vote for Democrats you can expect at some point to get more of this behavior.  This is what they are, up close and personal.

The talk is about whether the Democrat Convention will be under siege from the same protestors as the colleges.  I have to admit I’d find that immensely entertaining.  Can you imagine if they storm the convention floor and take Joe Biden captive?  Could he regale them with tales of Uncle Bosey and Corn Pop and how he spent thirty years in a South African prison before becoming Nelson Mandela?  It boggles the mind.  Joe Biden and the Gaza protestors in a struggle session.  That much stupid all concentrated in one place would threaten the very fabric of space-time and could trigger a moron supernova.  Sounds like a good time will be had by all this summer.
