Guest Contributor – TomD – 23JAN2024 – Border Betrayal

I think it was Newt Gingrich (I think) who today published an article stating that he would have also voted that way. Wondering about the rational, I meant to go back to read it but got side tracked.

The thought of this devastating invasion purposefully brought on by the Federal Gov in defiance of law, reality and logic is bizarre. And the thought that efforts to lessen the invasion are being defeated by the very agency tasked with defending the border is—–it is so far beyond the bounds that I literally don’t have the words to express my dismay.

Supreme Court Allows Feds to Continue Helping Illegal Aliens to Enter Country, of Course

Texas installed razor-wire to stop illegals from entering Texas.  The Appeals Court ruled that Texas could use the barrier to protect its border.  When the feds brought the case to the Supreme Court Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh voted to stop the federal government helping illegal aliens enter the country.  Of course, John Roberts voted with the Democrats but surprisingly Amy Coney Barrett also did.

So, the supposedly conservative Supreme Court allows the Biden administration to continue to flood Texas with illegal aliens by siding against the Republican Texas governor.  Now does Texas have the stones to just say no to the Supreme Court?  I bet they don’t.  And after what the Justice Department has done to Trump maybe Abbott is right to back down.  Who is to say whether they might kidnap him right out of his home and drag him away into a Washington DC gulag.

If I were Abbott I would definitely continue to bus as many illegal aliens to the Northeast as I could.  But I think that instead of sending them to New York he should send them to Massachusetts.  Their homeless program is already overextended by millions of dollars and if that could be stretched even more it would go a long way toward immiserating the most liberal state in the East.  I follow the news in New England and I sense that a lot of anger is already directed against the costs associated with large increases in illegal aliens.  Maybe a whole year of financial and social pain might make them reconsider the wisdom of another Joe Biden term.

Watching the destruction caused by Biden’s insane border policy makes it crystal clear that if despite all this he still gets reelected then there is absolutely no hope for this country.  A ruinous invasion is harming blue and red states alike and if all the failed policies of the Biden administration do not force his rejection at the ballot box, then nothing can.

This will be the final straw that breaks the camel’s back.  If Joe Biden is reelected then I will have to agree with the Dissident Right that the United States of America is irrevocably a Leftist country.  Whether it is still the best place to live for you or me is a different question.  What will be incontrovertible is that questions of constitutional freedoms will be irrelevant philosophic games.  No rights or freedoms will survive exposure to ideologues that will control all three branches of government.  Eventually a new progressive Supreme court will discover that the Second Amendment only applies to the FBI and that whatever is declared hate speech will trump free speech once and for all.

So, enjoy the primaries and the November election.  Have a blowout party.  If Trump wins, we live to fight another day.  If he loses then eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we die.  We’ll be in that brave new world where the government decides everything for you; how you heat or cool (or don’t heat or cool) your home, what kind of car you drive, even what kind of food (or bugs) you’re allowed to eat.  One thing’s for sure.  It’ll be double plus good.

Guest Contributor – ArthurinCali – 10JAN2024 – The Incredible Empty Suit

Biden is not the one running this country and the SecDef’s recent Houdini act should convince more of the public of this reality.

The implications of the Secretary of Defense ‘disappearing’ for nearly a week without (allegedly) the president knowing reveals a larger truth that the American public need to understand.

It should be pointed out that the current geopolitical situation in the world regarding global conflicts would require daily briefings between the president and his cabinet. Situational awareness and evolving conditions would prompt multiple meetings daily to stay current on these issues.

Between China, Russia, Ukraine, Israel, the Houthis, North Korea-hell, even the border crisis with its contingent of military assets being deployed would tell anyone with common sense that of all people the Secretary of Defense for our nation would be joined at the hip with the American president.

With them admitting that Biden didn’t know for nearly a week where his SecDef was, or his medical status is a damning indictment on the reality that he is an empty figurehead for the country, and not the Commander in Chief.

The bigger question is, who is running our government?

Sister Morphine

As I’ve said it’s always a bad idea to write a post at night.  At night the brain is tired and unlikely to give of its best.  The mood tends to be dark.

But here I am.

When you’re young, the world is a fascinating puzzle that you throw yourself into.  And the immediacy of your little neighborhood; your family, friends, work acquaintances and enemies, takes up almost all of your attention.  Sure, you notice things like recessions and wars because they impact you directly but as soon as things are resolved for you, your attention reverts to your little world.  And so, you are shielded by indifference from the spectacle of how our world works and who runs it.

So, it’s unsurprising that my familiarity with Joe Biden in the time before he was vice president was limited to the few times, he made the papers.  He ran for president long ago and almost immediately was singled out as third rate at almost everything except lying.  That was his only true excellence.  Plagiarism and misrepresenting his own achievements were his oeuvre.  This is what I remember about him from before he ascended to a larger stage.

Of course, since then he’s become a phenomenon.  As president of the United States, he’s the most famous man in the world.  He wields enormous power which he has used to impoverish his countrymen and immiserate whole areas of the world with his wars.  Knowledge of the sordid financial arrangement that his son Hunter Biden has perpetrated to extort money from foreign governments is ubiquitous.  Everyone has heard that Joe Biden is “the big guy” who skimmed 10% off the top of all of Hunter’s pay offs.  And the governments that he squeezed were places like Ukraine and China; authoritarian regimes that could pay for the influence peddling with no questions asked.

Now, this is all old hat.  There’s no end to the talk of Biden’s dishonesty and other character faults.  Everyone has seen the videos of him sidling up to children and women and pawing them and nuzzling them.  It’s extremely disturbing almost shocking.  But it’s old hat.

But here’s the thing.  What does this say about our society?  Do the stories about Biden and Clinton and Obama and their depravity mark our society as terminally decadent and tottering on the edge of dissolution or is this just the routine state of all societies?  Were all the presidents creeps?  Or have we reached a dangerous low point.

I guess I can’t claim I have a definitive answer.  I’d be interested in getting people’s opinions.  But I’ll give my opinion here.

So, human beings are extremely flawed.  And when handed incredible power and responsibility they can go off the deep end.  Jack Kennedy had many sexual dalliances while he was in the White House.  Bill Clinton had the Lewinsky scandal.  And both Clinton and Obama leveraged the contacts and probably the criminal evidence they possessed through the FBI to make themselves billionaires.  Therefore, there is a rich tradition of tawdry behavior by US presidents.

But I think Joe Biden is an order of magnitude worse.  Biden is an odious misfit that should never have come anywhere near the White House.  It’s as if a circus monkey had been appointed a municipal judge.  Sure, partisan politics will allow a lot of latitude with the selection of a candidate.  But this should have been a red flag.  Everything about him adds to a picture that is a caricature of a despicable creep.  With Biden we’ve lost even the illusion of honor.  I can only imagine what foreign dignitaries must be thinking when they have to interact with this demented wretch.  They probably wash their hands as soon as they can after shaking his.  Most of them probably make a point of leaving their wives behind on trips and I can only imagine what the female dignitaries experience when he comes in range.

So, I think we have dropped down a very long way in the caliber of our leaders.  Politicians like Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi use their powerful leadership positions mostly to enrich themselves through insider stock trading which is a protected perk of the federal legislature.  And the president of the United States is bought off by one of the most corrupt governments in the world; Ukraine, to pay over a hundred billion dollars to finance a war from which no one benefits but the politicians and the merchants of death.

People will say that this is just the way business is done in an empire.  Caligula or Nero is just as valid a leader as Augustus or Marcus Aurelius.  As long as the army and the tax collectors do their jobs we’ll roll along for another few centuries.  I disagree.  I think the rot is advanced and has eaten its way through the other levels of the elite.  The managerial class seems to be far from the best and the brightest.  The universities have become clown college.  Even our supposedly state of the art information age corporations seem to lack initiative and inspiration to produce real innovation.

I think Joe Biden is a symptom.  But I think this symptom is one of those markers that are used in triage.  When a doctor notes this one, he sends the patient displaying it to the hospice for the morphine goodbye.

Who Do You Believe …

… us or your own lying eyes?

Only the New York Times could try to sell us 2024 Biden as “Morning in America,”  For pity’s sake they even used it as the headline!

The gist of the article is that Biden’s whole term has been planting economic seeds that any day now will transform America into a wonderland.  Tragically for the voter we’re just too blind or stupid to see the bounty yet to come.  O tempora, o mores.

So vote for Joe and the miracle will be right around the corner.

The ending of this pathetic apologia for the failed Biden presidency is especially ironic.

“There also remains one respect in which Democrats should take a page from Mr. Reagan. In 1984, his campaign aired a famous ad declaring that it was “Morning Again in America.” Mr. Biden has grounds for making the same claim. His economic policies, if they are carried forward, hold the promise of opening a new era of prosperity.

The end of Mr. Reagan’s ad is worth repeating, too.

“Why would we ever want to return to where we were less than four short years ago?”

The answer is a shout we want to go back four years so we’ll have enough money just to buy food!  If people are moved by this clap trap they deserve to starve.

Ring Out the Old

2023 has been a year of stumbling along through the wreckage.  In every direction, as far as the eye can see is nothing but ruin.  Everything is in a shambles.  The borders, the cities, the Congress, Biden and our foreign policy.  In fact, the Ukraine is a perfect metaphor for the state of our civilization.  Across fertile fields laced with landmines and once industrious cities reduced to rubble formerly kindred peoples are locked in a life and death struggle to destroy each other.

And to prove that things can always get worse, Hamas unleashed the Fifth Horseman of the Apocalypse, Sadism.  Just when you think that nothing could be worse than the threat of all out nuclear war because of Ukraine, the Palestinians of that coastal hellhole; Gaza, send out squadrons of unhinged fighters to rape, maim, kill and dismember women, children and the elderly in an orgy of destruction and demonic madness.  The Israelis will earn the undying hatred of their neighbors in the surrounding Arab countries but after what was done to these Israeli non-combatants I won’t be surprised if they pursue the Hamas army to the last man even if it means killing tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians in order to reach them.  Anything less than the total destruction of Hamas will merely postpone the next round of attacks on Israel.  But the fallout from this war will be very ugly and Israel should reevaluate all of its strategic objectives and align them with the present war.  Because after it, goodwill for Israel in the Middle East will be non-existent.  Even the United States may shy away from pressing its Arab allies for support.

So, it’s really hard to find a silver lining to 2023.  Mike Johnson taking over as Speaker of the House after Kevin McCarthy was ejected by Republican right-wingers is a promising development.  Donald Trump’s growing support in the polls for the Republican primaries is also a bit of good news.  And his current lead in the polls versus Biden is likewise encouraging.  But after those three tidbits have been savored, you’re pretty much done with good news from Washington.

So, let’s turn the page on 2023 without too much introspection and analysis.  For those of you who overindulge on New Year’s Eve, you have the perfect excuse. Waking up on New Year’s Day with a hell of a hangover may be the most fitting end to a year that felt like a hangover.  Maybe we can use 2024 to start addressing problems on our own.  Obviously, we can’t undo the Biden agenda.  All the worst policies of his regime will continue for as long as the Democrats are able to bamboozle stupid or greedy people into buying special treatment for their votes.  But there is plenty you can do to minimize the impact of these dishonest policies on you and your family.  And that should be your resolution for the New Year.  Analyze what personal actions you are capable of accomplishing that have the highest impact on your life and make it your business to make them happen.

That’s resolution enough for anyone.

Never Interrupt Your Enemy When He is Making a Mistake

No one has done more in the last three years to poison the American people against the Left’s agenda than Joe Biden. Maximally carrying forward all of the separate planks of the far-left platform has done more to frighten and anger an enormous, disparate swath of the American people than anything the hapless Republicans could possibly do. Out of control cost of living, rampant crime and homelessness and hordes of illegal immigrants have confronted even doctrinaire progressives with a reality too awful to approve.
It’s a perfect storm of chickens coming home to roost. All it requires from the Right is to just shut up and don’t draw attention to themselves. Don’t try to reach across the aisle to find some compromise that will allow the Left to share the blame for the present awfulness with the Republicans. Just keep quiet.
Let Joe Biden own the Border, the Ukraine War, the outrageous cost of living, urban chaos, transgender madness and anti-white hate. Let the electorate know that Joe did all this completely on his own with his pen and his phone. And let him own Hunter and the other scandals that swirl around him like a cloud of flies around carrion. Let him try to explain it all with his crack-brained mumbling. Because the more he says the less he’s believed. It’s long past the point where audiences are fooled by his obvious lies.
So, on the Right, stay away from anyone who embraces any of the Left’s agenda. Most importantly avoid the establishment Republicans like Mitch McConnell, Chris Christie and Lindsey Graham. But most emphatically Nikki Haley. She is the kiss of death. She is the Left’s candidate. Everything about her screams John McCain and Mitt Romney. The word LOSER is stamped on her forehead in blinking crimson neon letters. And if Trump makes her his running mate he might as well slit his own throat while he’s at it.
At this point we all know that the chances of the Republicans getting a fair election in November are slim. Even if 70% of the electorate vote for Trump, I could still see the crooks stealing the election. But without a doubt, win or lose, Joe Biden has poisoned America against him. I’m not even sure if another four years would actually help to secure control of the country. I’m starting to think that we have already passed the point of no return and what happens in the future will involve separate fates for different sections and segments of what was once the United States of America.
People on the Right will begin to coalesce around power centers and organizations that represent them. Identity politicians that cater to the people on the Right will emerge as important players in the future. Eventually the Republican party will be controlled by these influences or it will be replaced by a new party that does. And that will lead to a much more cohesive political situation than what we currently see.
But all that is way in the future. Right now, what we need to do is stop trying to help the Democrats out of their hole. National pain is our friend. The more pain, the better. What I’m hoping for is a freak deep snowstorm to blanket the country followed by a polar express that drops the temperature into negative territory. Based on the amount of “green” energy many parts of the country have adopted and all the electric vehicles out there I could see a situation where hundreds of people freeze to death on some road around Chicago or Detroit before anything can be done to rescue them. That’s the kind of teachable moment that would really drive home the lessons to be learned from the Biden years.
But even without an assist from Gaia the current meltdown is exactly what we want to see. Failure can be a beautiful thing.

A Biden Carol (Part 4)

Scene 1 – White House Residence / 3 a.m.

Biden – What a horrible dream.  All those filthy murderous bums kicking me and spitting on me and other things.  And after all I’ve done for them.  Making it easy for them to get fentanyl.  They should be thanking me!  Well, this is the last ghost.  This should be easy.  I’ll just tell him I’ve seen the light and I’ll get another chance.  I’ll use the old shmooze.

Ghost of Biden Yet to Come – Hello Joe.

Biden – Why aren’t you dressed up as Death?  Where’s your hooded cloak?

Ghost of Biden Yet to Come – We’ve moved ahead with the times.  The “Yet to Come” function is now handled by a clinical team.  If you’ll step this way, we’ll begin your appointment with a scan.  Lay down on the table and we’ll crank up the power.

Biden – Will it hurt?

Ghost of Biden Yet to Come – Well let’s say you’ll notice a tingling.

Biden – Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Tingling?

Ghost of Biden Yet to Come – Well, maybe a strong tingling.  But it’s done.

Biden – What did you find out?

Ghost of Biden Yet to Come – We were able to see your future.  You serve out a second term and after your death you are buried in a grand mausoleum close to the Jefferson Memorial.

Biden – Hey that sounds pretty good.

Ghost of Biden Yet to Come – But two years later all of the green energy infrastructure begins to fail and millions of people freeze to death during an extremely cold winter.  A million-man march descends on Washington and tears your monument down and drags your body down to the Capitol and uses it like a pinata until there isn’t much left.

Biden – Well, that’s not so good.  Are you sure about that?

Ghost of Biden Yet to Come – Yeah, the video was very clear.  Would you like to review it?

Biden – No.  I’ll take your word.  Look, this sounds really bad.  Maybe I can mend my ways.  Can’t I try to fix things?

Ghost of Biden Yet to Come – Normally we’d try to come up with a remediation plan.  And help you to stick by it.  But we did a search for your soul.  And it’s the darnedest thing, but it’s not there.  Over the course of decades, it’s completely evaporated.  So really there’s no point.

Biden – But how can I have no soul?  I’m human.  I’m alive.  I must have a soul.

Ghost of Biden Yet to Come – As best we can figure, you’re working strictly by reflexes.  It’s pretty remarkable.  For instance, your ability to make up lies is unprecedented for someone who’s not even really there anymore.  But in terms of redemption, without a soul the concept has no meaning.

Biden – But what’s going to happen to me after death.

Ghost of Biden Yet to Come – There have been cases like this in the past.  After your body dies, your soul will recondense and quickly end up in its appropriate home.

Biden – Do you know where that will be?

Ghost of Biden Yet to Come – You’re kidding right?

Biden – Well, you never know.  Accidents happen right?

Ghost of Biden Yet to Come – I’d pack for warm weather if I were you.  Bye Joe.

A Biden Carol (Part 3)

Scene 1 – White House Residence / 2 a.m.

Biden – Holy Crap!  I think this thing is for real.  They know everything I’ve done and why I did it.  My only hope is to win the 2024 election and win over the American people.  I know.  I’ll say all that MAGA stuff.  The rubes eat that up.  All I’ve got to do is freshen up my “Scranton Joe” act and I’ll be back on easy street.

Ghost of Biden Present – That’s what you think.

Biden – Donald Trump?  What are you doing here?  I thought I was going to meet the Ghost of Biden Present.

Ghost of Biden Present – I’m here because I’m going to be the Ghost of Biden Present.

Biden – Oh come on man!  That’s not fair!

Ghost of Biden Present – Why would a crooked rat like you get treated fair?  I got the job because I told them I’d twist the knife every chance I got.  Believe me when I say no one is looking to help you, Joe.  The only friends you’ve got are paid and that doesn’t exactly guarantee loyalty.

Biden – Look Donald.  None of that stuff we’ve been doing to you is personal.  Garland is just following the law.  It’s completely by the books.

Ghost of Biden Present – Don’t waste your time.  I’m here to show you what people really think of you.

Biden – Well, that’s all just a partisan exercise.  Your voters are against me and mine are for me.

Ghost of Biden Present – You haven’t been paying attention to the polls or the social media sites.  You’re about as popular a herpes.

Biden – Which kind?

Ghost of Biden Present – Both.  Even the 25% of people who say they’ll vote for you are holding their noses to do it.

Biden – I don’t believe you.  There are millions of Americans who love and trust “good old uncle Joe.”

Ghost of Biden Present – Well, we’re going to go out tonight and let you talk to the people.

Biden – Should I hold onto your sleeve and we’ll be whisked along through the air?

Ghost of Biden Present – No we’re taking the front door and walking down Pennsylvania Avenue.

(Exit)

Scene 2 – Washington D.C.

Biden – What are all these homeless encampments doing in the capitol of the greatest country on Earth?

Ghost of Biden Present – You put them there, numb nuts.  These are all the people who’ve been displaced since you opened up the border and let illegal immigrants and fentanyl flood the country.

Biden – My border policy is smart, humane and very popular with the American people.

Ghost of Biden Present – Really?  Let’s test out your theory.

(Trump whistles loudly on his fingers and addresses the crowd.)

Hey folks, here’s “President” Biden.  He wants to get your opinions on his border policy.

Random Homeless Man – It’s really him.  Let’s get him!

Biden – (As he’s being dragged away by his heels  and kicked in the head and ribs by the murderous crowd)

Donald, Donald don’t leave me here.  Get me out of here before they murder me.  How can I learn my lesson if I’m dead.

Ghost of Biden Present – Don’t worry Joe.  You can’t be killed in this little demonstration.

Biden – What do you mean?  Those kicks hurt!

Ghost of Biden Present – No the beating will hurt like a bastard for sure.  But you won’t die.  That way it can go on for a very long time.  I’ll see you later Joey, much later.

Biden – Help Trump, help!  Don’t leave me here!

Folks, ouch, we’ll build back better together, ow, Bidenomics is making this the most robust economy in the world, ah, the green economy is lifting all boats, Ahhhhhhhhhh!

(Exit)

A Biden Carol (Part 2)

Scene 1 – White House Residence / 1 a.m.

Biden – I really must be cracking up.  What a horrible nightmare that was.  And I’m not even in bed.  C’mon Joe.  Snap out of it.  It must have been the Adderall wearing off.  Get a grip.  What’s that light I see glowing before my eyes?

Ghost of Biden Past – I am the Ghost of Biden Past.

Biden – Is that really a thing?

Ghost of Biden Past – No, I’m just the guy who got stuck with this gig.  But work with me here.  We’re trying to line this thing up with Dickens.

Biden – Sure, sure.  Are you going to show me all the things in my past that I should feel gratitude about and help me to be a better man?

Ghost of Biden Past – No, that ship has sailed, hit an iceberg and sunk to the bottom of the ocean.  I’m here to remind you of all the horrible stuff you’ve done so that it’s crystal clear why the perpetual gruesome agony you are slated for will be completely justified.

Biden – Wow!  No partial credit for that time I saved that amphibious lander when I shot down the Japanese Zero back in dubya, dubya two?

Ghost of Biden Past – Joe, you were born in 1942.

Biden – Oh, right.  I must be thinking of my service in Viet Nam.

Ghost of Biden Past – No you dodged the draft for Viet Nam.

Biden – So you’re not gonna work with me here.

Ghost of Biden Past – Work with you?  I’m rooting for you to get the perpetual wood chipper option.  In fact, I’ve got fifty bucks on it in the office pool.

Biden – Surely all that good work I did while in the Senate must buy me some good will up there.

Ghost of Biden Past – Up there?  Even Lucifer doesn’t want to work on your case.  He was thinking of farming you out to the Great Old Ones.  But Cthulhu said, nothing doing.  So, we’re stuck with you.

Biden – Surely someone from my past will speak in my defense.

Ghost of Biden Past – Yes, there was one character witness who was able to remove a very small charge from your list of sins.  We found Corn Pop and he said you never threatened him with a chain.  Apparently, you just ran off and never came back to the lifeguard gig you had.

Biden – That’s a lie.  He was a very bad dude and I stood up to him.

Ghost of Biden Past – Well, we checked out that story.  Corn Pop back then was an asthmatic camp counselor at the local YMCA with coke bottle glasses and a limp.  Now he’s a retired postal worker.

Biden – Yeah well, that’s not how I remember it.  So, what’s next?

Ghost of Biden Past – We’re going to walk you through the highlights of your various activities.  We’ve got Juanita Broaddrick and that summer with you “showering” with your underaged daughter.  We’ll go through the work you did getting Hunter to where he is now.  Then we’ll go over your work as the “Big Guy” and all of the stuff you did “for the country” while working for Obama.  For fun we’ll go over the blooper reel with your hair plugs and aviator shades.  It’ll be a busy time.

Biden – So this doesn’t look so good.  Should I get a lawyer or a character witness?  How about my old friend Barack.  Everybody loves him.

Ghost of Biden Past – Yeahhhh, about that.  Old Bathhouse Barry has his own ‘splainin’ to do.  I don’t think that would be wise.

Biden – Alright let’s start the tour.  Will there be lunch?

Ghost of Biden Past – Don’t worry there will be some roasted meat sooner than you think.
