Now We’ll Have to Do It the Hard Way

I was listening to the ZMan’s Friday podcast this morning and something he said resonated with something I’ve been thinking about for the last few days.  To paraphrase, he said, the Democrats own all of this, they don’t have anyone to put the blame on anymore.

And that’s sort of the only good that comes out of this whole election fraud.  There’s no nonsense about coming together.  We’ve just been mugged.  We’ve been knocked to the ground and robbed.  Only a moron would want to shake hands and cooperate with his attacker.

The press always talks about a honeymoon for a new president.  Although they make exceptions for Republicans.  They attacked W from the beginning and of course they attacked President Trump unendingly from the moment he was elected.  The press will make believe as hard as they can that everybody is in love with Dementia Joe and Willie Brown’s Ho but once again even their side doesn’t believe we’re that stupid.  I expect Parler and Gab will become major conduits for obscene mockery of the Presidential and Vice-Presidential pretenders.  And that will be a good thing.

Of course, the Senate and House Republicans will fawn over the pretenders for months to try and curry favor and in response they will be beaten like red-headed step-children by the Democrats and the Media.  And honestly, nobody will care at all.  I’ll be surprised if there are any Republicans left in the House in two years or in the Senate in six, even the few who actually care about their constituency’s opinions.  Those few will probably switch over to a new party by then.  It would be great to see McConnell and Romney sitting all by themselves in some corner of the Capital building talking about the good old days when people still cared who they were. And paid them graft to vote against their constituency.

Without a doubt Dementia Joe and his stooges in the Congress and Administration are going to torture us for as long as they can.  They’ll strip us of our rights and shut down all of the jobs we have and import our replacements by the tens of millions.  But this time we won’t be talking about building a coalition to win back the White House and the Congress, except for the stupid and the dishonest.  No one will be wondering why things are going so badly.  Only idiots will be wondering why the stock market keeps going up but employment and wages keep going down.  As the opioid crisis becomes a national welfare program where the poor are given their pills in the expectation that they’ll just fade away to death sooner rather than later and the transgender crusade is institutionalized into an avenue to funnel the gullible into hormone therapy to preclude them ever having children, the people who want to survive will be looking for a movement and a party and a leadership to take their side against the madness.  We’ll be looking to free ourselves from our captors.

The Trump presidency was the last chance for the establishment to listen to the voice of the people.  We did everything by the book.  Millions voted for the first time in decades and told the Elites they want to have their country back.  And the Elites called on the city bosses to manufacture the millions of fraudulent ballots needed to silence those millions.

The anger that this created is still growing.  Once the COVID lockdowns are extended indefinitely in 2021 there will be a source of irritation that will feed the anger and frustration that people feel.  Add onto this the BLM protests that will begin again in the spring and summer and you have the makings of an actual insurrection.  Really the only question is where will it spring up first.  I don’t think there is any way to predict where it begins.  The FBI will be looking to stamp out any sparks wherever they can but that’s sort of like the situation that you get with wildfires.  Unless you remove the fuel, every spark is a potential conflagration.  I guess they could begin to fill up gulags with dissenters.  That will be easy to see too.  But I think that will be an accelerant too.

My question is whether it will have to be a grassroots movement or whether a leader in one of the red states will decide to step in and say no to the federal government and act as a nucleus for a new nation.  Once someone takes a stand it will spread and be replicated and it will become unstoppable.

Congress Certifies the Election.  Where Do We Go from Here?

So, it’s official.  Mike Pence uselessly officiated at the vote count and only a handful of senators had the backbone to put up even a token resistance; Cruz, Hawley and a few others.  So, everyone including President Trump has agreed that “Dementia Joe” Biden will be hauled into the White House and nailed up like a scarecrow while his handlers pull his strings and make his progressively addled mouth and brain parrot whatever teleprompted gibberish they want him to spew on any particular day.

Yesterday’s street theater was either the beginning of a rebellion against a fraudulent presidency or the death spasm of a free people.  Time will tell.  The juxtaposition of the media’s portrayal of yesterday’s protest versus the obscene “summer of Floyd” rioting and looting is so ludicrous as to defy description.  Ashli Babbitt, who was murdered yesterday, is such a stark contrast to all of the “victims” that were endlessly celebrated in the summer of Floyd that nothing else is needed to highlight what the two sides stand for.  The left holds up criminals and degenerates as saints and martyrs while decent patriotic Americans are branded with every slur imaginable.

So, as predicted, they stole the Georgia senate elections and now control the Senate, the House, the White House and effectively the Supreme Court.  Technically we have a 6-3 majority there but apparently Roberts and one or two of the new boys are under the Left’s thumb.  They can write any laws they want and the Supreme Court will back them to the hilt.  They control the social media completely and through Google and Amazon they control access to the internet and e-commerce.  They control the banks and they control Wall Street.  They control the bureaucracy, the intelligence apparatus, the Justice Department, the IRS and even the military.  They control the schools, the colleges and the press.  To say that they have us by the throat is an understatement of biblical proportions.  Even this tiny one-man show of mine isn’t too small for them to shut down when they get around to dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s on their program of eliminating the dissenters.  That’s the beauty of the server farms that Google had the government buy for them.  They can write an algorithm that counts up every last syllable of dissent and just cancels it out of existence.

And coming around to the title, where do we go from here?  Well, from my point of view, we stop waiting for a man on a white horse and we become the answer we’re waiting for.  We’re embedded in a matrix of lies, stupidity and degeneracy.  We have to develop defenses to protect our children from the corrosive effects of these poisons.  They’re too young to understand the lies.  As for adults that believe this stuff, they’re probably hopeless and need to be avoided as much as is possible in our private lives.

I can’t assume there are enough brave men left in this country to organize a rebellion.  We’re all too hamstrung by our dependence on all the government systems that control every aspect of our lives.  Everything from the money in our bank accounts to the cops on our streets are controlled by the other side.  If a rebellion occurs then I’ll join it.  But I see my place as providing information for the people on our side and a place where we can talk and discuss the events of the day.  I’ll give my opinions and pass along any links to others who are trying to organize cultural and commercial endeavors that help our side in some way.  In my personal life I will work to form a local community of like-minded individuals.  That is something we all should do.  Linking those local groups together would be something for a social network to accomplish.  What that network will be is still a question mark.

I will make it a special part of my time to think up humiliating and I hope amusing insults to use for Dementia Joe, his underlings and their pathetic antics.  You have to do something to amuse yourself while waiting for the execution.

So that’s it.  Until someone raises an armored division we are officially under the permanent control of Big Brother here in Oceania.  2 + 2 = 5.

Maybe This is the Beginning of Something Big

What happens next is worth watching.  Will it sputter out or are there really enough people who have had enough that something big is in the wings?  We’ll see soon enough.  Suffice it to say that people are pretty fed up.  It’s funny to hear some of the “pundits” on the right condemning this as if horrible violence is being committed.  Compared to what was going on during the “summer of Floyd” this is nothing.  This is just a bunch of people who are pissed off and want their government to listen to them.  I hope it grows.  I want the federal government and the Congress to know that they’ve alienated more than half the country.  And I wouldn’t be surprised to see civil disobedience and worse to start going on across the country.  And when they swear in Dementia Joe on the 21st I wouldn’t be surprised by anything that happens.

Sure, people may just knuckle under.  The Left now controls every lever of power.  They can take everything from you without you being able to say anything but there will be some small number of people who either haven’t got anything left to lose or who have enough courage to risk everything to make a statement.  Maybe this is just a small hiccough caused by the extinction of hope for the election fraud to be acknowledged and adjudicated.  Maybe this was the whimper that follows the reading of the death sentence for American democracy.  Call it the dead cat bounce of our fighting spirit as a free people.  All those things are one way it could go.

Or maybe just maybe it’s the first round of Americans telling their overlords that they have had enough.  It caught my attention.

Update – Now they have their first martyr, and it’s a young woman.

What do you think?

The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) – An OCF Classic Movie Review

Everyone knows the outline of the Robin Hood story.  Robin is a Saxon nobleman who fights to avenge the oppression that the Saxons suffer at the hands of their Norman overlords.  He steals from the rich and gives to the poor.  He is a superb archer.  The story goes that while King Richard is absent on the Crusade his brother John uses the circumstance to overtax and terrorize the Saxon population.  The local tyrant for this story is the Sheriff of Nottingham who hunts relentlessly for Robin.  The happy ending is Richard’s return to England.

In this Warner Brothers’ version Sir Guy of Gisbourne, played by Basil Rathbone inherits the activities usually given to the Sheriff of Nottingham and is Robin Hood’s primary enemy.  Robin is iconically portrayed by Errol Flynn in his most famous and most successful part.  And his love interest, the Maid Marian Fitzwalter is played by Olivia de Havilland.  Rounding out the major parts are Claude Rains as Prince John, Eugene Pallette as Friar Tuck and Alan Hale as Little John.  But many of the smaller parts are also ably performed by a crew of excellent character actors.

Robin Hood’s heroics and acrobatics are generously sprinkled throughout the film and swashbuckling is a word that might as well have been invented for this movie.  Robin and his merry men swing on vines through Sherwood Forest, scale castle walls, and sword fight their way up and down stone staircases with the greatest of ease.  Robin can shoot backward from a galloping horse and hit his foes with arrows as they gallop along in the dark.  And of course, the feat of splitting an arrow with an arrow in the bulls’ eye is called a “Robin Hood.”  And so, it becomes the climax of yet another chapter in the film.  Robin fearlessly confronts his enemies right in their strongholds and only once is captured.  But on the brink of being hanged he is rescued by his men and returns to Sherwood in triumph.  And finally, when King Richard returns to England in disguise, Robin saves both him and Marian from the murderous plots of Prince John.

And in the spirit of the happy ending Robin kills Sir Guy in a sword fight, restores Richard to the throne and is betrothed to Marian with the king’s blessings.  Because this is 1938 a certain part of the reason for this movie is the pro-British sentiment that was being sponsored by the US government to counter the rise of Nazi Germany.  But it really isn’t necessary to justify the regard that this movie received at its release.  It actually is a remarkably stirring film.  Errol Flynn embodies the swashbuckling hero and Basil Rathbone and Claude Rains positively exude villainy and malice.  As I mentioned earlier, all of the bit players are excellent and the script is crisp and the stunts wonderfully choreographed.  It is an altogether lively and spirited romp.

If you’ve never seen this movie, I suggest that you remedy that deficiency as soon as you get the chance.  Very highly recommended for old and young alike.
