The Two Worlds

I’ve started a series of posts on what seem to me to be the practical steps we need to take in the situation we find ourselves in.  But in order to make it worthwhile I need to put some thought and some research into it.  So, it’ll take a while to start and even more time to show much progress.

But I was just thinking of something that doesn’t take much deep thinking to say.  So, I’ll put it down on paper (or electrons or whatever this medium is).

We all live in two worlds now.  There is the day-to-day existence in prison world.  That’s the cage that’s been built for us by the Deep State, the DEI/LGBTQ/BLM worshipping corporations, the tech companies, the schools, colleges, professional societies and most of the churches.

Then there is the other world.  That’s the one made up of people who think like us.  That’s your friends and family that haven’t drunk the cool-aid and still believe in the old world.  That’s people you meet out in the world and on-line who don’t talk like an NPR broadcast with their careful use of pronouns and therapeutic tone of voice like they’re in a mental institution and don’t want to rile up the patients.

These two worlds are night and day.  In one world every conversation you have and every document you read raises your stress levels and sets your teeth on edge.  You’re always biting your tongue to keep yourself from saying what you really think.  Every minute in this world drains you of joy and energy.  You find yourself looking for excuses to wander away into the other world.

Then there’s the free world.  Now this world is much smaller.  And it’s fragmented.  Some of it only exists on-line.  It’s fragments here and there.  This or that website and the folks that you find there.  For me a large part of it is this place that I have manufactured out of bits and pieces of my personality.  Here are a number of people I’ve met and who share some of the same opinions I hold.

Then there’s some of my work friends, guys I used work with.  One group gets together every week for a zoom meeting and that’s a lot of fun.  We compare notes on things and give our opinions on the various outrages going on and talk about old friends and enemies and where they are.

And finally, there’s family.  People who know you better than anyone.  With them you couldn’t even make believe if you wanted to because they’d know it was fake.  Here are the people that matter most to you and you can say what you believe.

The free world is where you want to spend all your time.  But unfortunately, that’s not possible anymore.  So, we’ve all learned to compartmentalize our words and our actions to protect ourselves when we’re in prison world.  We don’t want to rile the guards or the other prisoners who don’t belong to our tribe.  That would put us in great danger and wouldn’t solve anything.

We’ll have to wait for my more practical advice to figure out a way to escape from prison for good.

The day the feds start gun confiscation is the day the 2nd US civil war begins.

I believe Biden and the left are purposely trying to destroy the USA on behalf of their owners, the Chinese, Russians and Soros.

Biden’s plan to stop gas sppliances such as cook stoves, furnaces, clothes dryers, and water heaters will only serve to further erode the power grid. California is already at the point of rolling brownouts. Imagine taking away all gas appliances and adding in mandatory electric cars to boot? Grid meltdown. Add on anything else such as a good-sized earthquake or solar flare and California will have massive blackouts and, as a result, lots of deaths. California is broke. And remember, the hospitals, etc, will be forbidden gas or fuel powered backup generators.

I have a natural gas standby generator, a gas water heater (looking at an on-demand unit to replace the tank type), gas range and a gas clothes dryer. That reduces my electrical load during outages and puts less stress on the generator, so I can basically run my whole home as if I still had line power. I can cook, wash and dry clothes and the rest on a smaller generator. All circuits are available, not just an essential few. Big Daddy Joe wants to take that from me. Good luck.

The problem for the Dims is they don’t know when to stop, anything.

Their first big win, in the 60’s, Civil Rights, was passed as “equal rights for everyone”. The nation was fine with that but it has evolved into permanent “affirmative action”, hard quotas, reverse racism and actual persecution of whites.

After several decades of gun “safety” laws, it has finally reached the point that we were promised would never be be reached: the current dominant political party proposing outright confiscation.

God knows where this “climate change” thing is going to end up.

I do believe that this current trans mania just beats anything that has ever happened before. The nation evolved to “don’t ask, don’t tell” in the 90’s (I think). Everyone was cool with that. Later, there was a bit of trepidation over gay marriage. Then it evolved further to the persecution of people refusing services to openly gay couples. But who could have anticipated the shrieking insanity it has become today, the 57 genders, gender change by the need statement of what you are today. Drag queens performing school sponsered sex shows for grammar school children. The government performing “sex change” butchery on per-pubescent children without the parents knowledge or consent. The domination of womens sports by men who self proclaimed themselves women, on this day anyway.

If this isn’t a present day recreation of Sodom and Gomorrah, I don’t know what else it could possibly be. A society this sick needs to heal itself or go down.

Who, Who Will Still Not Wear the Rainbow Jersey?!?!?!

“NHL may cancel LGBT ‘Pride’ nights as growing number of players refuse to wear rainbow gear.”

Is it possible that someone will be permitted to not wear the ribbon?  I watched the video clip in this article of the sports reporter raving about how outrageous it would be for someone not to support gay pride by refusing to wear the rainbow jersey.  He looked like he was about to have a stroke.

Of course in Canada they may be able to jail hockey players for not wearing the ribbon.  They have even fewer rights up there than we do.  But maybe, just maybe we have reached maximum pride.  Perhaps the drum beat of adulation for people whose identity is based on being sexually abnormal has crested and now we can start getting back to celebrating functional and normal things, like people raising families where the “gender” of the children isn’t a mystery and a medical problem.

A Rational Response to the Insanity of the Nashville Child Murderer

Most of the Media are blaming the victims and excusing the psychopath who gunned down nine year old children.  Well, here’s an essay that takes the opposite tack and places the blame squarely on the killer and the elements in society that attempt to portray transgender identity as normal and healthy.

I find I agree with the author on many points.  “Affirming” irrational and dangerous ideas about ourselves and others is madness and leads to destructive and even criminal behavior.  These people are delusional and desperate to force everyone around them to agree with their madness.  That is how you end up with a young woman who thinks she’s a man murdering children in a religious school in order to get attention to her plight and commit suicide by cop in order to end her own miserable existence.

I listened to a report from Andy Ngo who stated that the violent ANTIFA radicals had as much as 20% transgendered or similar gender dysphoric individuals amongst their ranks.  These are hopelessly confused people who are a danger to themselves and those around them.  They need to be prevented from working with children and states need to provide resources for parents to make sure they know what kind of people are being employed around their children.

What Says Banana Republic Like a Visit from the IRS on the Day You Testify in Congress

Matt Taibbi is testifying before the House sub-committee on the weaponization of the federal government.  And what better proof of the existence of this problem than the IRS picking this time to show up at Taibbi’s house in person to confront him on his possible problems with his taxes?

Well, at least you can’t claim that the IRS doesn’t have a sense of humor.  It’s a morbid sense of humor but obviously heart felt.  You see?  These folks don’t work clandestinely they are openly contemptuous of any attempt to rein in their abuses.

Shame on Me

Prophecy is a difficult profession at the best of times.  And in the midst of an avalanche of societal dislocations such as we are experiencing currently it becomes impossible to realistically predict what will happen next.  I mean, you know certain trends are heading in a direction that leads to a certain end.  But with so many moving parts it’s very difficult to know which trend will lead to which catastrophe first.  Think about it.  Will hyperinflation ignite first or will massive unemployment precede it?  Will severe food shortages happen before severe energy shortages?  Will civil unrest in the United States reach a crisis level or will a foreign war  pre-empt it?  I think it’s very difficult to claim that all of these factors can be predicted in a particular way and with a particular set of outcomes.  Anyway, that’s what seems to be the case to me.

But what is certain is that the stable system that we lived in for decades is no longer a viable option for the future.  Going back to what I said a few days ago, an important, but invisible part of the American way of life was the trust of the people in the system.  And by system, I mean the underlying myths of how our country worked.  We believed that the courts were fair and that the law was administered equally for all and that the rights that we were told we had under the constitution were inviolable.  We never thought about how this trust influenced everything around us.  We never thought about how our belief in the courts and the federal government allowed us to live our lives without fear or suspicion.  We knew that the government would make sure that medicines would be monitored for safety and efficacy.  Banks would be regulated to prevent our life-savings from being stolen.  The IRS would never weaponize the tax information of a politician based on partisan considerations.  The FBI would never collude with partisan judges to set up a gulag for political enemies.  The media companies would never partner with the federal government to silence dissenting voices or even blackout a news story that revealed government wrongdoing.

All these things were unthinkable.  And because we couldn’t imagine such things happening in the freest country on Earth we lived contentedly and allowed our elected and appointed officials enormous power and free reign over our society.

So, we all know how that’s turned out.

My point is that, even in the face of the myriad of unknown factors and interactions that will determine the future, the one future that will not happen is returning to what was here before.  The possibility of a population with that level of naivete no longer exists.  Our stupidity has been beaten out of us by decades of unmistakable dishonesty and malice aimed directly at the citizens of this country.  Trusting the bureaucrats, politicians, business leaders, law enforcement agencies, judges and generals who have lied to us and victimized us at every turn is an impossibility.

And this lack of trust means certain things will not work the same.  Can you imagine trusting your eighteen-year-old sons to Joe Biden to fight a war?  I hear the recruiting efforts for the military branches have been terrible.  The quantity and more importantly the quality of the volunteers has plummeted.  And the number of people willing to be vaccinated for the COVID virus has also plummeted.  Likewise the number of people taking their kids out of the public schools is greatly increasing.  Whether home-schooling or going to private or religious schools these parents don’t trust their kids to the state.  And the number of people fleeing blue states to find refuge in relatively freer red states is at an all-time high.

And this will only get worse.  As the dysfunction of the federal government worsens people will be looking for other things to trust and depend on.  Possibly one or more of the red states will try to fill this gap.  But it’s a certainty that the old high trust environment we once knew will not be back.  We’ll put our trust in ourselves.

“Fool me once shame on you.  Fool me twice shame on me.”

27MAR2023 – OCF Update – In the Belly of the Beast

All pretense of normalcy evaporated today.  Just too many interruptions and distractions to get anything at all done.  Well, I’ll just chalk it up to lack of sleep.  One of the hounds was pacing around all last night and after that and a day of work my brain is fried.  Hopefully tonight will be better for sleeping.

I was going to review the movie “Master and Commander” tonight but I would have done a poor job.  Tomorrow will be better.

One quick thought.  I was watching the 1970 movie “Patton” and it occurred to me that any American WW2 soldier alive today would have to be at least 96 years old.  Now statistically this is not a empty set.  There are probably still many thousands of these veterans alive.  But that number is probably diminishing at a terrible rate.  WW2 is becoming like the Civil War was when I was a boy, ancient history.  Temporal change is a little shocking when it reaches you.  But it’s also enlightening.  It gives you better insight on how the past is misrepresented.

Well, I’ll try to do better tomorrow.

26MAR2023 – The Week Begins

Christmas Cooking, Sony A7 III, Sony 90mm f\2.8 macro lens

The weekend was replete with good food, happy visitors and talk.  We heard stories about the really old days, over a century ago when our ancestors came to this country and made their fortune and then lost it and then started over again.  It was exciting, pathetic, sad, funny and very familiar.  Familiar because it’s family.  And we heard tidings of some old friends and relatives who are ailing.  But as we age there will always be more of that.  But there were tidings of the next generations venturing out into the world.  That’s always a necessary and welcome development.  And we made plans for upcoming gatherings.  Easter is almost upon us and we’ll be hosting the family which is great.

And now here we are beginning a new week.  Chaos reigns supreme in Dunwich and I expect pandemonium when I arrive at work tomorrow.  But the world we live in is in a permanently catastrophic state and if no other good thing has come of this shambolic existence, it’s that we’ve become less delicate.  Anything less than a megaton of destruction is routinely just shrugged off as “more of the same.”  Well, good.  We’ll continue on and deal with these occurrences, one catastrophe at a time.  Who knows maybe they’ll run out of plagues eventually and we’ll come out on the other side.

And at least there is a bit of humor to the whole thing.  Even the outside world is starting to catch on to just how pathetic Joe Biden and his gang of losers really are.  Even the Saudis, who have never been known for their love of humor have joined in the act.  Saudi tv has a skit where Biden and Harris look-alikes wander around a political soundstage hopelessly lost and stupid.  Imagine when even stone age people like the former headhunters of the Amazon jungles and the New Guinea highlands join in the fun.  Maybe it could become a meme when representatives of every race and ethnicity compete on Rumble to mock Dementia Joe and Magic Bus Kamala.  That would be a true moment of solidarity for the whole human race.  It chokes you up just thinking of it.

But seriously, this is going to go on for a good long time.  As a very smart man said long ago there is a lot of ruin in a nation.  Before the US is degraded to a level where people will do anything about it, it will have to get a lot worse.  So, I intend to do my best to take care of those I love and try somehow to make my immediate surroundings a little less horrible.  And when I have the time, I’ll put up some of my scribblings here as moral support for folks like me.  If you have something to share leave it in the comments and if you have something longer, you’d like to see posted send it to me at the e-mail address listed or just say so in the comments and if it’s something I can support I’ll probably post it up.

Things are a lot worse than they used to be.  But one thing has improved.  We now know the truth about the country we live in.  Tens of millions of people now know that what we were told was a big lie.  And that is a powerful thing.  And I don’t know how, but I’m pretty sure that one day that is going to have a tremendous impact on some critical moment in our history.  A country is made of more than just banks and bureaucracies.  I think there is a component that depends on the trust of people.  And this country has lost that.  It was that characteristic called American exceptionalism.  It was belief in ourselves as being part of something remarkable.  Now we know that’s not true.  And pretty soon the rest of the world is going to find out too.  The day will come when one of Joe Biden’s gang is going to ask us for help and he’s going to get

… nothing.
