Let’s Play the Best-Case Scenario Game

All the bad news for the Dems has lifted my heart.  I haven’t let it go to my head.  I know just how bad things are.  But with a light-heart comes a playful mood.  So, I’ll spin some words and try to imagine the best-case scenario we could hope for going forward.  So, play along.

We’ll start out with November 8th.  Based on everything going right for the Republicans the wildest fantasy, the one where only Vermont and New York elect a Democrat Senator, would give us 57 seats in the Senate.  But since it’s not a filibuster proof 60 votes let’s just go along with this outrageous 57 number.  Then let’s say the Republicans win some outlandish number of seats in the House, say 60 seats.  Effectively this shuts down any more of Biden’s legislative agenda and curtails his ability to pick judges for the federal bench and means his cabinet replacements can be tortured and even denied if they’re at all egregious (which they will be).  This also means Mitt Romney and whoever is left of the Senate NeverTrumpers will be forced to shut up for the next wo years.  In fact, old Mitt is up for re-election two years and I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him walking back all his anti-Trump talk and begin groveling on his belly asking for Trump’s endorsement for his re-election.  Now that will be fun to watch.

And even with less than 57 senate votes I can see the House sending an impeachment of Biden and his lackies pretty soon after they’ve had a chance to do an investigation into the Hunter laptop.  If it wasn’t such an expensive process, I would like to see a quarterly impeachment come through the Congress until 2024 is complete.  But it could get boring.  After all we don’t have anywhere near enough votes in the Senate to convict the old liar.

Now, with a Republican Congress Joe will try to play rope-a-dope by blaming Congress for tying his hands and refusing to fund all his pet projects.  Basically, we’ll have the same stalemate where continuing resolution funding will be voted in every quarter instead of a yearly budget.  Considering that the Stupid Party is the stupid party this will be a painful process and they will take some damage.  But we’ll go through the next two years with the dance we’re used to seeing playing out.

Let’s assume Biden will try to wag the Ukrainian dog with some kind of false flag operation to try to blame the Russians for some casualties of NATO troops in Poland.  He demands a blank check to go “mano a mano” with Ivan.  Now since this is my happy-happy version let’s assume that somehow our congressional heroes manage to avoid turning themselves into villains in this little passion play.  And assume that the Russians manage to get the Ukrainians to the bargaining table and suddenly the war is over and NATO looks really stupid.

By this point we’re about a year before the 2024 election and Dopey Joe is as toast as any incumbent has been since Jimmy Carter chased that rabbit away from his canoe back in 1980.  Now with the whole country baying for Joe’s blood and the economy still mired in stagflation Donald Trump wins the Republican nomination easily and the election is a landslide in which both the House and the Senate are solidly pro-Trump, filibuster proof and primed to enact a MAGA agenda.

Their first order of business is to close down the southern border tighter than a drum.  Then enforce strictly all the existing laws to prevent illegal aliens from working in the United States.  Then re-organize the intelligence agencies and Justice Department with elimination of the Patriot Act and the FISA Courts as the centerpiece.  And for good measure they can write legislation to forbid the government from locking us in our homes ever again.  Afterwards comes reversing all the green agenda nonsense and establishing a workable energy policy that includes nuclear and fossil fuel components as the main technologies.

After all this good stuff is done, they can tackle the discriminatory practices that the tech companies have been perpetrating against conservatives.  I don’t expect the death penalty to be handed out but confiscation of the platforms sems fitting.  And hopefully in the meantime the Supreme Court will have outlawed affirmative action and declared homosexuality and all its associated activities unprotected by the Constitution.

And after accomplishing all that, Mitch McConnell will be so exhausted that he’ll have to be carted off to the old age home and younger and less crooked leadership can be appointed.  Hopefully the same will be the case for the House leadership although we don’t have to send McCarthy to an old age home.  The back benches will be good enough.

So, there’s my fantasy.  It’s absurd because we’re stuck with the Stupid Party.  They’re too stupid, dishonest and lazy to get anything as monumental as the reformation of the federal government done.  But it’s been a good week and I felt like cheering myself up.  I return you to the apocalypse already in progress.

Real Clear Politics Updates Republican Senate Projection from 52 to 53

This is a small indicator but currently Real Clear Politics have updated their projection of the post election Senate Republican count as 53 seats.

This lists seat pic-ups in Arizona, Nevada and Georgia and holds in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and North Carolina.  What I notice is that in several of these races the poll averages favor the Democrat candidates.  This must mean that someone at RCP thinks there is either a problem with the polls artificially favoring the Dems or that the dynamics of the race are rapidly shifting away from them.

A projection like this that basically shows the Republicans running the table seems kind of over optimistic but maybe that’s just my hard knocks pessimism shining through.  So this is a little thing but it got a smile out of me today.

Me and Democracy

Busted flat in “Covid Times”, vaxxin’ is a pain
When I’m feelin’ near as faded as Rmdna genes
Brandon thumbed his nose at me, before he claimed
He wanted to make America as crime-free as New Orleans
I watched as the J6ers were confined in a dirty DC cabana
Joe is so aloof while America sings the blues
EPA is slappin’ fines, soon I’ll be getting mine
This is not the America we knew

Freedoms are just another thing we need to lose
Nothin’, I mean nothin’ is ever going to be free
And feelin’ good was never easy, but now it is gone into the blue
You know feelin’ good was no good for Nancy and Joey B.
Not good enough for AOC and the progressive party

Shut down the Kentucky coal mines, count on solar from the sun
Algore and Kerry have a single goal
Through all kinds of weather, through everything that’s done
Nothings going to keep me from the cold

One day up near Portland, Antifa had it’s way
Lookin to ransack homes and defund the police,
They will trade all of your tomorrows, for their one “new” day
To be Soros’ heros of the brownshirt kind

Freedoms are just another thing we need to lose
Nothin’, I mean nothin’ is ever going to be free
And feelin’ good was never easy, but now it is gone into the blue
You know feelin’ good was no good for Nancy and Joey B.
Not good enough for AOC and the progressive party

La-da-da, la-da-da-da, la-da-da-da-da-da-da
La-da-da-da-da-da-da-da, Joey B., yeah
La-da-da-da-da, la-da-da-da-da
La, la-la-la-da-da- Joey B., oh yeah

La-da-da, la-da-da, la-di-da
Hey now, Hey now, Nancy and Joey B.
Lord, oh Lord, oh Lord, lo-da-da, na-na-na, na-na-na, na-na-na
Hey now, Hey now, Nancy and Joey B., yeah

Well, I wanna call it “over”, vote in a different kind of man
but I am called a threat to their democracy
Hey now, Hey now, how about that lunacy, yeah
Lord, a Lord, a Lord, a Lord, a Lord, a Lord, a Lord, a Lord, oh
Hey-hey-hey, Joey B., Lord

20OCT2022 – The Dunwich Complainer

Very interesting week here at the epicenter of the Great Old Ones’ Realm in New England.  I put out my Re-Elect First Selectman Cthulhu sign up on my lawn next to a slaughtered goat carcass ritually adorned with wheat germ.  I watched the latest feed from my trail cam and noticed that the werewolves have all begun to wear skinny jeans and carry BPA-free water bottles on their belts.  None of them look like they could take down a girl scout in a fair fight.  Without a doubt, these are times that try men’s souls.

This week at the official induction ceremony I was named Deputy Election Reanimator.    Now this a misnomer.  The Reanimator doesn’t really have a deputy since only the primogeniture descendant of Herbert West has the moxy required to bring back the dead, especially during a rush-rush mass ceremony on election night.  My job would probably be more accurately described as Deputy Election De-Reanimator.  You see the reanimation procedure takes place at the graveyard and apparently is not selective by party affiliation.  So, my part is to stand at the gate with the old voting records and stop the Democrat voters from leaving the graveyard.  Or at least to make sure their heads don’t leave the graveyard.  So, in addition to the lists, a sharpie and a flashlight I’ve got a reasonably sharp machete.  This year they modernized my gear by getting me one of those headlights that you can strap to your forehead.  That helps quit a bit.  I don’t have to ask the deceased to hold my lists while I’m fumbling to cut his head off.  Much more dignified and much more ergonomic.

I really hope I’m not asked to help clean up the grave yard on Wednesday morning.  I think the volunteers should handle that.  I mean, I’ve paid my dues and now I’d like to let the system do its thing, if you know what I mean.  Of course, the volunteers do a pretty bad job.  Every election night I see mismatched heads on the reanimated voters.  It’s kind of an embarrassment.  But still, I can’t be expected to do everything around here.  At some point the kids just have to be allowed to sink or swim.  ‘Nuff said.

In the real world I attended the latest meeting of our local Republican Town Committee and was surprised to hear that even in the cobalt blue New England state that Dunwich is embedded in the Stupid Party candidates have a fighting chance of winning for once!  I could tell the rest of the folks there were almost shocked by the situation.  I was quite amused.  Maybe I’ve underestimated the people in this country.  Could there be a limit to their willingness to endure progressive insanity?  Even here?  Well, we’ll see.

I will be working on Election Day in an official capacity which is interesting and annoying at the same time.  I’ll have to figure out if I can bring my laptop and go on-line when I’m on my breaks.  Not being able to follow this election on OCF would be unfortunate.

It should be fairly interesting to be involved in the election.  I’ll finally see how the sausage is made.  I suspect my town is one of the more boring and honest operations.  And maybe the rough stuff happens higher up the ladder in the crooked states that we saw on tv in 2020.  I remember those films in Philadelphia where they threw everyone out around midnight and all the skullduggery occurred behind closed doors and blacked out windows.  It’s kind of sad to know that after all that went on in plain sight that nothing has been done in some of those states to prevent a replay this year.  Well, as I’ve said this is the Day of Reckoning coming up.  We’ll find out where we stand and that is valuable in and of itself.  So, bring it on, bring it on, bring it on.  And where did I put that sharpening stone?

Where Will Freedom Take Root Next?

Contrary to the beliefs of some people freedom is not the default condition of humanity.  In fact, depending on what model of human social grouping you believe in you might be inclined to believe that freedom is an unstable condition that appears very infrequently and disappears almost immediately.

After all, the great majority of people throughout recorded history have lived under regimes that barely understood what the concept of freedom even meant.  The agrarian societies of antiquity, Egypt, Mesopotamia and China were monarchies that incorporated a temple priesthood to reinforce the godhood of the emperor or king or pharaoh or whatever they called their head monkey.  And they had an army to put muscle behind it in case religion wasn’t enough to keep the peasants in line.

Only a few times a millennium an Athens or an America breaks out.  Interestingly, it seems to me that it only happens when a middle class appears.  Whether that is Athenian merchants or Roman small farmers and traders or English yeomen moving to North America it seems to be town people in the middle of nowhere discovering that they can band together to protect their own interests without the God-King.

But what inevitably happens is the aristocrats discover a way to re-establish the empire.  They rebuild the temple by calling it the bureaucracy.  And pretty soon Athens is run by the Four Hundred and Rome by the mega landowners and America by the Fortune Five Hundred and their animatronic Biden.  Even the end of empire doesn’t spell freedom.  When Rome fell you might think that would allow for freedom to reappear but if you look at the history of the dark ages any local freedom was at the whim of chieftains, nobles and bishops who mostly took their cut of what peasants produced and provided “protection,” such as it was, from even more rapacious forces such as the Northmen and Saracens.

So, freedom is fragile.  And it’s relative.  Fifty years back we had almost unlimited freedom.  Freedom of speech, mostly fair elections, the right to bear arms, freedom of association and freedom of religion.  And in addition, we had amazing prosperity and modern conveniences (telecommunication, rapid transit, air flight) that Caesar Augustus or any of the other ancient rulers would have assumed were only within the purview of gods.  If today we lost most of our freedom but were guaranteed the standard of living we had, most Americans would complain a little and then go back to sleep.  So, freedom from want is a freedom that most people don’t enumerate.

Another one is the freedom to raise a family that will be there after you’re gone.  That’s one of the freedoms we see disappearing in the United States.  And to my mind that may be the deal breaker for a lot of people.  After all, what’s the use of living comfortably if it’s at the expense of having a family?  That’s the swap that a lot of Millennials have made.  They’ll get an Obama phone, an EBT card, a universal basic income, free porn and Section 8 housing and mindlessly squander what’s left of their lives and disappear from the Earth.

But for the people who want to leave descendants, what is the deal that is available?  If the Left has its way, the only way to be part of the elect is to drink the Kool-Aid and join the club.  You won’t be one of the Elite but you can work for them.  What was the priestly caste three thousand years ago is what we call the managerial class today.  You can be a bureaucrat at the IRS or the Social Security Administration.  You’ll donate to the Democrats, buy a tote-bag from PBS and put a rainbow bumper sticker on your electric car.  If you’re a little more talented you’ll be a middle manager at a Fortune Fifty company and send your child (hopefully a daughter) to Bryn Mawr or Smith College where she’ll be groomed to be a transgender studies professor.

If you’re hoping for your children to be normal people who will have children of their own then it becomes a lot less certain.  And that’s the subject of this post.  Where will you be able to go to try to give your descendants at least a part of the freedoms and prosperity that you were given by your parents in America?

And in terms of them getting everything we were given the answer is there isn’t such a place.  That world is gone for good.  What you will be looking for is the best deal that’s available.  So, in terms of prosperity, maybe that is still America.  There is still a good deal of money sloshing around this place.  The Elites need their lawns cut and their companies to be managed.  There is money to be made if you’re not too picky about what you have to say and do.  And if you’re in the right trade you might even be able to raise your kids the way you want, for the most part.  So that’s something.  You’ll have to keep a low profile on social media and be careful not to offend anyone really important.  But a lot of what passes for the good life is still to be had in abundance if you know how to work around the system.

But are there other places just as good or better?  I think there will be.  Because I think there will be other places that may not be as prosperous as the United States but they may be more culturally attractive than America.  Eastern Europe seems like an interesting place.  They haven’t allowed the woke West to proselytize their children into joining the LGBTQ cult so far.  Hungary has even shown their willingness to reject unlimited migration and even legislate to encourage their young people to raise families.  A place like that should probably be looked at as an alternative if America sinks into global feudalism.  Even some of the third world may turn out to be freer than America in the future.  I hesitate to talk about Russia and China because those societies are hard to penetrate as an outsider.  But it’s far from impossible to imagine that sometime in the future one or both of those places might provide opportunities for ex-pat Americans.

So, I don’t expect to see another United States appear in my lifetime or even in the lifetime of my great-great grandchildren.  But what I think makes sense is to instill in my descendants the understanding of what to look for in a home.  Look for stability, a little bit of prosperity and some kind of value system that embraces the idea of a middle class.  With those things you can hope to thrive.  Who knows you could get lucky and end up in the next “Land of the Free.”

The Enemy of My Enemy Can Be My Ally, Even if Just for Today

What do White evangelicals, Hispanics and Muslims have in common?  Your first instinct would be to say nothing.  But according to the Left, all of them are complaining about the public schools trying to groom their kids for sexual deviancy.  Apparently in Dearborn Michigan these three groups have been able to agree that the local school shouldn’t be foisting LGBTQ talking points on their children through the school library.

In the breathless narrative of a New Republic expose we read that this unlikely alliance of the Right along with groups that were formerly thought to be owned by the Left is laying siege to the local school board and demanding that deviant sexual propaganda be removed from the school library.  And being a leftist rag, the author presents this as an atrocity that should rally the Left to work even harder to bully parents to submit to the deviant faith.

This was the concluding paragraph:

The developments in Dearborn are a sign that the madness is spreading to new constituencies whom Democrats have long considered allies. Predicated on “protecting our kids” from the “scourge” of sexual progressivism, the anti-democratic right is forming a powerful religious alliance against secular liberalism. Those who believe in eternal torture for heathens are joining forces to establish hell on earth for LGBTQ people, public officials, and anyone who cares about American democracy.

Apparently, the wake-up call to parents when they saw during COVID what their children were being “taught” has been heeded by many and not just traditional people on the Right.  Religious people, even minorities who have traditionally clung to the Democrat party are slowly waking up to the reality of what their “ally” plans for their children.  Finally.

And if the Left is shrieking that means what is happening is effective.  Waking parents up has been an unexpected bright spot in all the havoc that we’ve lived through in the last few years.  Even leftists have been “scared straight” by what they found in their kids’ curriculum.  If the Stupid Party can wake up and latch onto this thing and legislate a real parents’ bill of rights, I think a lot of Democrat politicians will find it difficult to oppose it.  We might even get a veto-proof majority to enact something significant.  But let’s not get too far ahead of our skis here.

The moral of the story is that when it comes to different religious and ethnic constituencies you don’t have to be close friends to cooperate on tackling a threat from the anti-religious, anti-family progressive forces that have infiltrated the government and more specifically the schools.  You can cooperate on a project and get things done.  Later on, you can go back to hating on each other if that’s the only way things work between you.

Maybe that’s the model for the future.  Cooperate where it makes sense and otherwise circle warily around all the other groups that are trapped with us in this gulag our elites have built for us.

All You Zombies

Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, John Fetterman, The Clintons.  The list goes on and on.  Where do these people come from?  They’re all the weirdest individuals imaginable outside of the Arkham Lunatic Asylum.  And yet they’re accepted and elected to high office by tens of millions of American voters.  This alone is an indictment of our society.  Only corruption so ingrained and pervasive as to be virtually the dominant force in our politics could explain Joe Biden and Kamala Harris being the President and Vice President of the United States.

Listen to Nancy Pelosi just once and you’re sure that she’s an inebriated dolt.  Try to follow an answer that Harris gives to a direct question.  It’s like some kind of scene from a Seinfeld episode where George Costanza is pretending to be an architect or a marine biologist.  She’s a complete moron.  Buttigieg is only nominally less stupid.  Now we have an actual stroke victim pretending he’s capable of representing his state in the Senate.  I guess compared to these characters the bald guy wearing the wig, dress and admiral’s hat is the normal one.

And finally, the pinnacle of our dysfunctional government menagerie, Joe Biden.  His advancing dementia is actually his least offensive characteristic.  He’s a congenital liar.  He lies continuously and so outrageously that there’s no way for him to hide it.  He lies to make himself look better.  He lies to hide the incompetence of himself and his administration.  He lies to further his personal gain.  He lies to fool the American people about the terrible policies he wants to adopt.  And sometimes I think he lies just to stay in practice.

Based on the things we’ve learned about him from his own family he’s a frightening deviant who showered with his teenaged daughter.  He’s very credibly accused of having sexually assaulted a woman on his Senatorial staff in broad daylight.  He sidles up to women and girls and sniffs their hair and fondles their shoulders even while being televised.  And he’s the father and business partner of Hunter Biden, a crack-smoking bagman who has managed to make his father look slightly less insane by comparison.  And this is the President of the United States of America.

So how the hell do we get rid of these people?

There is no answer to this question.  Because there is no simple solution.  The federal government is a Frankenstein’s Monster that has been created by well meaning people to solve problems like World War II and the Great Depression but instead is now uncontrollable and a menace to those it’s supposed to serve.  The FBI, the other intelligence agencies and several other key agencies have been given carte blanche by such laws as the Patriot Act and the FISA court to control Americans at any level they choose to.  Combine that with the data collection resources they’ve amassed and we have something even Stalin would have thought beyond the pale.  So how exactly do you rein in this monster?  It would take the concerted effort of the President and Congress along with the armed forces to dismantle our Deep State.

And don’t get me wrong.  It’s worth doing.  It’s the only way we could wrestle back our country.  But who’s got that kind of power?  We’d need a cadre of supermen to make it happen.  Instead, we’ve got Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy.  So as much as I’d like to imagine us draining the swamp, I realize that it would involve first uniting the country in a way that hasn’t happened since World War II.  We’d need a supermajority in the Senate and House and we’d need a President who was personally unafraid to take on people who probably aren’t afraid to use assassination as a problem-solving technique.

But I’m game to see it done.  I just think it’s important not to kid ourselves.  Winning an off-year election or even winning the Congress and Presidency is far from sufficient to make this happen.  Mitch McConnell is bought and sold.  Half of the Congress is too.  We’re so far from seeing anything happen that it’s hard to even imagine how it would.  But let’s see it play out.  If nothing else it’s fodder for a book.  It’s like watching Rome in the time of Julius Caesar or possibly Caligula.  The bad guys control so much of the playing field that it’s hard to even find the good guys.  But let’s watch it unwind.  At least we can watch the freak show go by.  That’s good for a few laughs.

Plan B is Not the End of the World

So, I had my little outburst the other day.  And I guess it was cathartic because I feel better, cheerful even.  I think it’s good to be able to resolve a dilemma.  Two years is a long time to wait for clarity.  Good.

As I said, I’ll almost be disappointed if there is a red wave.  Having to worry about all the subsequent actions and the vicissitudes of political war is exhausting and when your team is the Stupid Party it can be maddening.

So, let’s not go there today.  Let me think about the other outcome.  Suppose on Wednesday I wake up and the Democrats still control the Senate.  Maybe it’s still 50/50 or maybe they’ve padded their lead.  What does my world look like?  What is my mission?

Well, remarkably little will change right away.  I guess the first fruits will be a long post on the reality of living in post-America.  Hopefully I won’t make it too morose or vitriolic.  But it will certainly be an acknowledgement of the position of the Dissident Right’s motto, “We’re not going to vote our way out of this.”

After that I will take some time and try to formulate my own agenda in this “brave new world” of post-republican American life.  Right now, I don’t know many details but I have a sense that mostly it will be making as many separate connections with like-minded individuals and organizations as I can and try to support all the things that used to be the business of our society to support.  I think I’ll change my writing schedule to provide much more time for fiction writing.  Conservatives are grossly underrepresented in the arts and producing works that reflect our values and sensibilities might be good for morale.

Beyond that I’ll be making a minor foray into local government.  It won’t be much but it’ll keep me involved with my neighbors.  Beyond that I intend to see if I can find some like-minded people to form a social club.  Currently I’m thinking it could involve a rotating weekly poker game.  But we’ll see.  Billiards is also possible.

So, you see, it’s actually not so bad being a man without a country.  First off, you’re no longer responsible for justifying the bone-headed actions of the government to foreigners.  And if you happen to live in a deep blue state, you can pick and choose which individuals and groups you consider your community.  So, if Barack Obama says that doing something is “not who we are,” your answer would be, “What “we” are you referring to?”

One other thing that will change will be the contents of my posts.  All of the uncertainty and speculation on the political happenings of the day will sort of fade away.  I’ll restrict myself to practical considerations like how to avoid the real-world problems faced by people like me living in a dystopia.  No more discussions about Washington politics unless they have a direct bearing on day-to-day life.  Probably more attention paid to what is going on in the red states and whether any progress is being made to resist the feds encroachment of their sovereignty.

So, this is the first step at figuring out what comes after a November fail.  Maybe we’ll get lucky and it’ll go our way.  But if it doesn’t Plan B exists.  And right now, that’s good enough for me.

NY Times Election Poll Result: Democrats Suck

Well, that’s a paraphrase.  But listen to some of the results that the NY Times survey gleaned:

“The poll shows that 49% of likely voters said they planned to vote for a Republican on Nov. 8 to represent them in Congress, compared with 45% who planned to vote for a Democrat.

The biggest shift came from women who identified as independent voters. In September, they favored Democrats by 14 points. Now, independent women backed Republicans by 18 points — a striking swing given the polarization of the American electorate and how intensely Democrats have focused on that group and on the threat Republicans pose to abortion rights.

The survey showed that the economy remained a far more potent political issue in 2022 than abortion.

“I’m shifting more towards Republican because I feel like they’re more geared towards business,” said Robin Ackerman, a 37-year-old Democrat and mortgage loan officer who lives in New Castle, Delaware, and is planning to vote Republican this fall.

Ackerman said she disagreed “1,000%” with the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and erase the national right to an abortion. “But that doesn’t really have a lot to do with my decision,” she said of her fall vote. “I’m more worried about other things.””

And other Democrats are admitting that economic problems trump partisan views.

““It’s all about cost,” said Gerard Lamoureux, a 51-year-old Democratic retiree in Newtown, Connecticut, who is planning to vote Republican this fall. “The price of gas and groceries are through the roof. And I want to eat healthy, but it’s cheaper for me to go to McDonald’s and get a little meal than it is to cook dinner.””

Apparently, the importance of abortion and gun control was exaggerated (as usual) by the Democrats and their friends in the media.

“While the share of voters focused on guns declined, those who identified abortion as the top issue remained flat, at 5%. There is a sizable gender split on the issue’s significance: 9% of women rated it as the top issue compared with just 1% of men.

In taking over the House in 2018 and winning the Senate and White House in 2020, the winning Democratic coalition during the Donald Trump presidency relied on a significant gender gap and on winning women by a wide margin.  But the poll showed that Republicans had entirely erased what had been an 11-point edge for Democrats among women last month in 2022 congressional races to a statistical tie in October.”

So, as you can see the Times is reporting that even their most reliable useful idiots are ready to throw in the towel and vote for the other side in order to avoid starving and freezing to death.

Now, I’m not saying that I take any of this as guaranteeing a Republican landslide.  Far from it.  There are all kinds of things that can make the outcome worse.  Fraud, Republican cowardice and stupidity and the unexpected.  But what this article does do is frighten and depress the Democrat readers.  They open up their copy of the paper of record and they see this article saying that women are more concerned with runaway inflation than they are about abortion on demand.  They hear that Joe Biden is considered a failed president by more than half the country.  And they hear that most probably the Democrats will be losing the Congress in January.  The idea of their anguish makes me happy.  These are the worst people in the world.  These evil people are responsible for all the pain and suffering this country has been through over the last three years.  For them to be afraid and unhappy is totally just.  I only wish it could be worse.  But for what it’s worth it’s welcome news.

As we’re getting closer to the actual election day it appears that even the most in the tank Democrat outlets are trying to prepare their readers for a nasty shock.  So, we have to ask ourselves can the Democrat election fraud machine generate enough fake ballots to overcome the majority of voters who want to kick out the Democrats.  Well, stay tuned.  There are only three weeks left until the Day of Reckoning.  Then I get to find out what’s what.

November Eighth, 2022 – Day of Reckoning

I almost feel like adding between the date and the descriptor in the title above the sound effect, “dunt, dunt, DUUUHHHH!”  Reading it, it sounds overblown and comically self-serious.  But personally, it’s gratifying to think that I’ve managed to survive two years since the horrific 2020 election debacle and that Joe Biden has generated such animosity by his dumpster fire presidency that left, right and middle are almost unanimous in their appraisal of him as a failed president.

But more importantly, I am looking forward to knowing whether the electoral system in this country is salvageable or hopeless.  And that is something I’m waiting for with bated breath.  Because I’m just tired of thinking about it.  Thinking about it distracts me from too many other things that need to be attended to.  And the uncertainty prevents me from making decisions and makes me delay things that I could go forward with if I knew which way the world will be going.

I don’t know if I’m unique in this way of looking at things.  I guess I’ve always kind of obsessed about the political elections going on around me.  But since 2016 I’ve become extremely cynical about our country’s future.  Waking up to the reality of how the FBI operates and how partisan the whole administrative state is has lowered my opinion of our government to the point where I see no meaningful difference between it and East Germany or even Venezuela.  It’s power politics and corruption.  And respect for constitutional rights and freedoms is non-existent and not even a façade has been maintained.  The Left in government, corporations and academia wear their contempt for these things like a badge of honor.

At this point all I’m looking for is an answer.  I want to know if this is still the same country I used to belong to.  If it is they will reject Biden & Co. unmistakably.  He will lose both Houses of Congress convincingly.  If not then we are in a new place, post-America.  And at that point agonizing over elections is pointless, stupid and most importantly a waste of time.  So, the outcome of this election will be a clarifying moment, an epiphany.

In a real sense I’m actually hoping that the answer is that there is no hope.  I’m that tired of being disappointed.  If I don’t have to hope anymore, I can forget about the majority of people living in this country who aren’t on my side and concentrate on making my plans for me and mine.  I can take the measures that will hide and protect me from that majority and their representatives who have turned this country into a banana republic.  I can use this new found clarity to concentrate on making alliances with those who are on my side, or at least aren’t my sworn enemies.

And I can finally break away from obsessing about Tuesday nights in early November and start using my time for things that I enjoy and that provide some kind of return on investment.

So come on November Eighth, hurry up and get here.  Put an end to this whole stupid passion play that we reenact every two years or so.  Answer the question, thumbs up or thumbs down.  I no longer fear either answer.
