Denmark plans to end COVID restrictions on February 1st. Britain, Ireland, Denmark are all returning to sanity. And this is even in the face of the enormous number of cases from the current “omicron variant.” Now, Dementia Joe is obviously slow on the uptake but even a dope like he is will catch up eventually. Post Covid
As we continue along the painfully slow awakening from the COVID fever dream I guess it’s time to start wondering what will be the result of this whole thing. One of the things I’ve been debating is what percentage of people will continue to believe that all of this was justified. Another thing that I think about is will anyone go back and try to sort through all the lies and misleading information that were used to justify so many harmful actions.
For instance, for two years, we’ve handled statistics for hospitalizations and deaths that substituted cases that included COVID for cases caused by COVID. If this one thing were clarified it might enrage most of the country at the obvious dishonesty perpetrated. Another example is the refusal to admit that anyone who had COVID either asymptomatically or otherwise was just as immune (or more so) as someone who had been vaccinated and therefore shouldn’t have to be vaccinated.
One thing that seems clear is that someone like Fauci needs to be fired immediately. I’ve seen a video clip of his various pronouncements on masks, vaccines, boosters, mandates and other things. He has contradicted himself on almost every position and yet somehow, he claims he’s always following the science. This little troll is a pathological liar and is probably responsible for half of the anger afflicting Americans today. A doctor is supposed to, “first, do no harm.” That seems to be the opposite of what he does. The fact that he is one of the highest paid bureaucrats in the country is an affront to every tax payer living.
Another aspect of all that’s happened that needs daylight shed on it is the actual safety of the vaccines. The death and injury caused by these vaccines has never been tracked for the public beyond incidental news stories of unusual occurrences like teenagers and twenty-somethings dying of heart attacks and strokes. What needs to be aired is just how high the injuries and deaths are from these vaccines as compared to other vaccines like a flu shot. Without an honest appraisal of these injuries, doubt and anger will live on for decades and will hamper any subsequent vaccine effort, no matter how necessary it might be.
And finally, a law needs to be put in place to absolutely prohibit forcing Americans to submit to medication. Even if COVID really had been the bioweapon it was meant to be, people in the United States are supposed to be free. Forcing them to be used as guinea pigs for a biological agent whose efficacy and safety are wholly unknown is a crime that should disqualify those politicians from ever holding office again.
But the truth is nothing will be done. Our politicians are cowards and they bow before the might of the all-powerful administrative state. Fauci will be there as long as he wants. Morons in California and New York will continue to vote for creatures like Gavin Newsom and Andrew Cuomo. The only good that has come from this whole fiasco is that some of us now see who the few leaders were who stood between us and the bureaucracy that wanted to treat us like cattle and trample on our rights. I guess the best example was DeSantis. He stood single-handedly against the Biden administration and the school boards and represented us and our children. And now it can be seen clearly that Florida has continued to live normally while every blue state is only now slowly staggering toward the light and realizing what they sacrificed.

The director of the CDC, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, is on record telling us that 75% of those deaths were to people with four or more comorbidities!

How many people died from Covid and Covid alone? I don’t know, but since 25% of 800,000 is 200,000 we know that the number is less than that – so less than 100,000 per year.
In a year with a particularly deadly flu season, 50,000 people die from the flu.
It is safe to say that the Covid death toll is about on a par with a bad flu season and we don’t shut down the economy, make people wear useless masks, and inject them with untried vaccines for that!
Another number – again from the CDC: Natural immunity is six times more effective than artificial immunity from the “Vaccines.”

Why then are we screaming that “Everyone mush get the jab!” when people who already had the disease are far better protected than the vaccinated?
Is it because the bureaucrats are lazy and don’t want to be bothered with the effort of tracking natural immunity?
Is it because its hard to say who has natural immunity? (Its not – a simple blood test will do.)
Or is it because the pharma companies got tens of billions of dollars from the federal government?

I think if we had competent national health officials they would have embraced the idea of providing the elderly and chronically ill with isolation and treatments like anti-virals and other agents for pneumonia instead of locking down healthy adults and unaffected children. Instead we got Fauci banging the cash register for Pfizer and Moderna. I hate that man.

Even in Florida, if I’m in a medical establishment, it’s mask on. At least in the waiting room, once I’m make it back to the examination room I say (truthfully), “I don’t hear well, can we dispense with these?” The Dr will inevitably say “sure!”
But this morning in the waiting room with about 15 others, all dutifully masked, I went into a slow steam. I really wanted to take my mask off and tell the rest, “Don’t you know even the CDC admits that the masks are 100% useless. Why are we being forced to wear them?”
I hate the masks for multiples of reasons, even on others, because I wasn’t kidding, I do have hearing problems. The combination of the USMC, many decades of competitive and recreational shooting plus Deep Purple concerts has dropped my threshold for hearing in the 2 kHz-4 kHz range to 90 dB. Add a mask to that to that and I can’t make out doodly-squat.
Other than medical buildings, there are no masks down here other than the maybe 2% who choose to mask for whatever private reason. I’ve no problem with that, but I hate coerced actions. My sister wore masks before she died a couple of months ago, but that was because chemo had reduced her immune system to junk.

I feel your pain. I work in a very technical field with technical people. Corporate has dictated masks for all. I get it. They don’t want to get sued. So they enforce the mask rule and dutifully report the number of Covid cases per week at our site.
I recently went on a rant about the uselessness of the mask and that even the CDC admits they are useless.
People in the vicinity of my cube defended the mandate. I pointed out the size of a virus and the mesh size of cloth masks. It fell on deaf ears.
Finally, one senior person stood up and said: “Its worth it if it saves even one life” and the rest agreed.
I doubt masking has saved a single life over the past 2 years around the entire planet.
Even if it has, that’s a crappy way to determine policy.
But I gave up. I sat down. Took off my mask (Yes, we can take off the masks when sitting inside our cubicals) and went back to work.
The COVID Cult Continues to Crumble
Even an imbecilic inhabitant of Quebec secretly yearns to live like a Floridian even though his programming battle against reality in the freedom of Miami that surrounded him on his visit there.
It’s easy to spot Canadians at restaurants, as we’re the ones properly masked and nervously sitting on the terrace, even in the rain.
You can see the difference in the media, too. In Quebec, COVID totally dominates the news, because there’s almost nothing else happening.
In Florida, entire conversations happen without the C-word mentioned, unless you bring it up — which, of course, I did. I asked a group of seven 60-somethings I met at a restaurant terrace how they felt about Florida’s non-existent pandemic rules.
Every last one said they loved how Florida handles things. In the words of one woman “Our philosophy here is: I look after myself and you look after yourself. If you want to wear a mask indoors, you should. If you don’t want to go to a restaurant, you shouldn’t.”
When I asked about our collective responsibility to protect others she shrugged and said: “That’s just not how we think here.”
I mentioned Quebec’s recent curfew, but they all just laughed, dismissing it as “Canadian communism.” Many others obviously agree as more people moved to Florida during the pandemic than any other state .
Thousands of Quebecers have also looked into moving there since the pandemic.
It’s a tale of two worlds. Like most Canadians, I still think collective safety trumps some individual rights. But I’d prefer something between the cowboy individualism of Florida and the heavy-handed paternalistic rules of Quebec during this fifth wave.
You can hear both the sneer of superiority based on his alleged moral superiority and the wail of misery because he lives in a lifeless isolation ward of a country. Canadians are just New Englanders with even more snow. Misery is their natural element. God bless Ron DeSantis for showing the world that the COVID emperor has no clothes.

Supreme Court Strikes Down OSHA Vax Mandate
This is fantastic news. Unless that old psychopath wants to fly in the face of the judiciary branch of government this should be the end of his attempt to deprive people of their livelihood.
Unfortunately, they upheld the the mandate for federally funded healthcare agencies with a 5-4 vote. But half a loaf. I have to assume this will hasten the end of a lot of this COVID fascism. Companies that don’t want to torture their employees anymore will be able to differentiate themselves in the marketplace and that may make them more competitive.
Well anyway, baby steps here. One small step for the Right. One giant step for America.
Springing Ahead, So to Speak
Being out and about yesterday was most enjoyable. The combination of sunlight and activity was a tonic. And all the positive comments for the classic car photos in the last couple of days made me want to forage outside in the real world again. Being couped up at the Compound is too confining. I’ve got to look around and see what day trips I can find to provide photographic subjects. I’ll start small with some forays around Dunwich and then branch out around New England. Who knows, maybe I’ll hazard a trip into Boston or New York city to photograph the wreckage of 21st century urban America. But it’s apparent that it’s time to call an end to the pandemic. It’s just too stupid to maintain any longer, even for people as stupid as the politicians.
And there are many signs of this in the articles both the Left and the Right have been posting in the last week or so. Even the hopeless Karens are yearning to be free. All that is needed to throw this over the top is the Supreme Court to veto the vaccine mandates and set us free at last.
Will they do it? My guess is yes. I think enough information on the stupidity of the vaccine strategy exists to give the justices a compelling reason to recognize the unconstitutional nature of the mandates. Sure, we know the Supreme court will ignore constitutionality when national security is at stake or seems to be at stake. They proved that with the Patriot Act. And at least the Patriot Act had a bipartisan majority and the legislature and president behind it. This is an overreach of an executive order that orders people to take a medicine in order not to lose their jobs. It’s an outrage. Of course, I guess I’ll have to figure out what to think if the Supreme Court fails us.
I read that the White House is building bunker walls and concrete barriers around the building. Sounds like they might be thinking of doing something very bad to us sometime soon. Or maybe the latest favorability polls have scared Dementia Joe. The Quinnipiac poll has him at a net -19% (meaning 35% unfavorable to 54% unfavorable). That’s getting down into Nicolae Ceaușescu territory. Maybe he should be building that bunker.
I read that the Senate is going to push forward with the election fraud initiative but Manchin and Sinema aren’t on board. If that fails, they’ll try to convince them to eliminate the filibuster. If that fails, they’ll try to convince them to eliminate the filibuster for just this one election law. But it seems like they’re up against a stone wall. Now wouldn’t that be marvelous!
I’m sure there are Republicans just champing at the bit to screw all this good fortune up. Mitt Romney comes to mind for some unknown reason. But right now, we seem to be dodging bullets left and right. Damn it! I’m gonna be optimistic today. It just feels right. And nothing breeds bad luck like bad luck and the Dems just keep stepping on those garden rakes. Have a nice day and get some sun.
Update: The Supreme Court did the right thing on the OSHA Vax Mandate. They just struck it down. So there’s some good news for us.
Saturday Snow Cleanup and Reality Begins to Seep Through
Well today’s outdoor work took a lot longer than I expected. That’s what I get for trying to do a good job. But it was a beautiful, cold, sunny winter day and I got plenty of fresh air. When I checked the news, Dementia Joe’s approval numbers had hit another all-time low. Another medical expert is calling out Fauci and the rest of the health establishment about COVID lies. And there are indications that the Supreme Court is going to find the OSHA vaccine mandate unconstitutional. So, it seems like reality is starting to sink in all over the place.
And I can confirm that even in a little town like mine people are starting to take notice that getting vaccinated can be a dangerous thing. Someone I know well, someone who is a staunch believer in boosters and tests and masks, told me that a sixteen-year-old girl in town died of heart failure. No one is going to think that’s a normal thing. That’s going to scare a lot of parents. People are starting to reconsider the information they’ve been fed.
You know things have been crazy now for so long I haven’t even considered that maybe a lot of people who have been part of the problem might change their minds about the madness they’ve backed. Could enough of the suburban women come around to the idea that they’ve been on the wrong side? I guess we’ll know soon enough.
On the home front, Princess Sack of Potatoes has been home sick for a week with COVID but luckily, it’s omicron so she’s already feeling better and getting mighty uppity. Both her mom and dad have the bug too so now there’s a serious power imbalance in the house. They’re getting weaker and she’s growing stronger. Camera Girl misses her granddaughter so she’s also getting uppity. That means there’s no peace for me. But I’m relieved that the little girl has gotten over the bug. Now there shouldn’t be any nonsense about this three-year old girl getting that stupid vaccine ever. She’s got the best kind of immunity and she won’t have any of the side effects.
I read where the drug makers wanted the results of the drug testing for the vaccines kept secret for seventy-five years. I heard that they were not accommodated on this and the results will be available soon. Something tells me those results weren’t normal. I’m guessing that without legal immunity the manufacturers would never have dared to put these drugs into people. I get the feeling that a lot of stuff is going wrong for the people running this country and it wouldn’t surprise me if they start to change their tune real soon. If the Supreme Court rules against the vaccine mandates, I’ll bet Joe Brandon is going to soften his tune and start reconsidering a lot of things like his COVID policies, his anti-fossil fuel policies and who knows, maybe even his open border stance. He’s made a lot of people very angry and they’re not going to forget anytime soon. After the midterms he’ll try to sell everyone the old “bipartisan” routine. Hopefully the Stupid Party will be slightly less stupid than usual and resist the impulse to help the evil Party out of their mess.

January Sixth, A Day that Will Live in Insignificance
I counted about twelve articles about “the insurrection” at Real Clear Politics. As is their policy, half were by Leftist loons and half by our side (at least nominally). As expected, the lefties are in full hyperventilation mode.
Phrases included:
- Domestic terror attack
- On par with 9/11 and Pearl Harbor Attack
- A threat to “our democracy”
- Truly gnarly
- Not cool
Those last two were by Bernie Bros who had been huffing lighter fluid earlier in the day and wandered over to where I was typing.
Be that as it may, I don’t think the American people for the most part care even a little bit that this is the anniversary of the day that bison man claimed control over the United States of America. They seemed more interested in the fact that after two years of COVID torture we’re still looking at Biden’s stupid face covered by a ridiculous rag. And they are especially interested in why food and gasoline prices have skyrocketed. And some of them are interested in why the cities they live in are infested with bands of roving marauders who apparently have full immunity from arrest by the now toothless police force.
I think it’s interesting that the mainstream media has rendered itself completely untrustworthy. At this point they could be giving away free cash and no one would bother to read what they have to say. In addition, idiots like Adam Schiff and AOC have drifted so far from reality that only the MSNBC crowd bother listening to them rant. And even these rabid partisans seemed strangely apathetic.
We may have reached a point where all anyone can think of is, “How many days left until Brandon leaves the White House?” Sure, the Dems in the House will go through this charade. They may even decide to impeach Donald Trump again. After all it’s been almost a year since they impeached him last time and that is a long time.
But for me there’s nothing very important in the news at the moment. Tomorrow I think the Supreme Court is supposed to take up the issue of whether the vaccine mandates on large businesses are constitutional. Now that is important. Could it be possible that the Supreme Court will break free of oligarchic control and do their job honestly? It seems unlikely but it’s at least remotely possible. I hardly want to dare hope for such a thing. But I confess I’m excited about the prospect. If the corporate mandate gets overturned then what about the other mandates? Why should anyone be forced to be vaccinated against his will? How can any of that be constitutional? A return of sanity in this instance and at this particular moment might be a sort of tipping point in the long night of madness that is COVID. It might just be enough to make Dementia Joe throw in the towel and go back to hiding in the White House basement. That would be a wonderful late Christmas present for the whole country.
So then, maybe January Sixth isn’t the important date. Maybe it’ll be January Seventh.
