I agree. I believe blood must be spilled to effect major change and revolt.

61% of US counties are 2d Amendment sanctuaries. Depending on who you believe, there are anywhere from 200 million to five hundred million weapons in private hands. Those include not just AR -15s, shotguns and pistols, but sniper rifles of extreme accuracy and range, machine guns up to .50 caliber, artillery up to 152mm, antiarmor rockets and missiles, old bazookas, RPGs, miniguns, flamethrowers and tons of explosives for IEDs. Also between a trillion and five trillion rounds for said weapons.

If the left wishes to disarm the People, who they gonna call? I do not believe the military will turn their guns on US citizens en mass. Several national guards would refuse Bidens attempt to federalize them. Most police would not obey Biden or their own blue governors, either.

History teaches us that it only takes 2-3% of the population willing to take up arms and fight to succeed in rebellion. The Bolsheviks were only about 3% of the Russian populace and they defeated the Czarists.

We have upward of 25 million veterans, mostly conservative. Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and the Carolinas alone have millions of hunters who are good at camouflage, stalking, and are proficient with firearms.

The left doesn’t really want any part of a shooting rebellion. They just think they do. Once victorious, the hangings will begin. Pelosi, Soros, the Bidens, Clintons and Obamas are likely to suffer from rope burn if they don’t bug out on their private jets.

Yes, the bubble, the echochamber. “It must be true because we all say it is true”. Then they employ the device they created, Bureaucracy, to wear down any dissent. As Stanislaw Lem wrote in “The Cyberiad”, the Steelypips found out that the Big B can defeat almost anything.

That is why they so fear and despise Trump. He is not of the system. He hates the Big B and its inherent evil. He slashes through it to get work done. He knows what paralysis and evil is hidden in reams of ill-used and sometimes arcane regulations with the force of law and which were not voted upon by public or congress.

She is right, of course about some things. Why buy Bucks’ noxious fluids full of arcane ingredients for 7 bucks when, with a Mr Coffee and a can of Folgers or Maxwellhouse, you can make your own caffeine drink at home for a few pennies a cup? Why, outside of need when busy, buy a breakfast sandwich of a toasted English muffin, a fried egg and a sausage patty for $4 when you can make it at home for about 60 cents?

But she is wrong about most Americans not changing their spending habits. Most of us, including old, widowed farts with adequate income streams, are changing spending priorities. I don’t fly to Europe unless it is in the back of a C-17 or other military jet. Then only when tasked. I eschew fast food dining except when on the run around the first of the month when I get most of the monthly chores accomplished. I do admit Five Guys burgers are rather good, but don’t ask for a large fry as I did my first time.

Liberal WASP women, especially those who are lesbians or cannot attract and keep a man, have a very skewed viewpoint. Personally I believe boxed wine makers are diluting their already useless product with various hormones to ensure addiction and with hallucinogens to prevent them from seeing reality.

We may not have to wait. We may be pimp slapped by the Chinese, Iranians, Russians and NK working together. At the rate the youth is quite rightly refusing to enlist, our personnel shortages may prevent us from fighting in two places at once, let alone three or four. Say, the Red Sea and the Taiwan Straits, then Europe and the Levant. If Putin strikes for Poland or Romania or any other NATO member, even as a feint, we’d find ourselves stretched too thin with too few troops to do it all. The left is treasonous and purposely degrading our military. The single objective of the US military is to deter through intimidation. “Come get some!” If that fails we MUST prevail on the battlefield, whether air, space, land, water or cyber. The US military is expensive, but the most expensive thing is a second-rate military. To wit: we must get rid of wokeness and timeouts in training. We need tough sonsofbitches that will wade in and force the enemy to surrender or die. Throat stabbers. Our Secretary of Defense should be an R Lee Ermey sort. Our drill instructors/sergeants/chiefs should be profane, rough, demanding and not afraid to put a recruit in their place by a swift kick in the ass if necessary. Worked for me. Better to train them with stress than bury them because they could not handle stress. There are no time outs and no safe spaces in combat.

Not so sure about voter hate not being a factor. I believe the 2016 election was not as much about love for Trump as it was about a majority of Americans despising Hillary.

Today’s Democrats are trying their best to whip up a seething hatred of Trump and among their core it works. Most liberals would give their firstborn to keep Trump out of office. But then, they have no problem with murdering their babies, anyhow.

The left is using the weaponized bureaucracy to try to get anything they can to keep him off the ballot. It might just work. If they keep Trump off by legal fiat and leave the Biden crime syndicate, I’ll lose all faith in the government and legal system.

The trick may not be to replace Biden at the convention, but to have him resign after the election, which they steal, with another. Harris would be a joke, even to the left who would love to have a malleable Black woman as President. Hillary might be able to blackmail them into appointing her as VP at the convention. Gavin is a strong contender as VP then have him step in when Biden is ushered out due to “health issues”. They would love to have Biden die in office to get sympathy votes, but he may not oblige.

Look for Joe to have health issues. I doubt he would actually resign. The left created a Frankenstein’s Monster with him. Once they get him in hospital for something serious the process of removing him from office will begin. While Hillary would be okay with an assassination and the left will murder people with impunity in prison, I doubt the left will assassinate a US president. Even Trump. If they manage to get Trump in prison, all bets are off. The left uses bananana Republic rules in prison. “Make him disappear”.

Rights are an invention. Humans have no natural rights. We have what we can defend. No more. They are priviliges we have concocted for our society.

What good did human “rights” do for those murdered, raped and tortured by Hamas? Those who elected to jump to their deaths on 9/11 rather than waiting for the flames to take them? The citizens of Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Of Dresden? Auschwitcz and Buchenwald? A right is an inalienable thing. Strangers, mother nature, other groups and even your own government can and will violate your “righrs” at a whim. That is why enshrining the “right” of the People to keep and bear arms was so genius. An armed populace does not docilely board rail cars for concentration camps. But unless militantly guarded, that “right” is also doomed. Many Democrats are all for repealing the 2d Amendment.

If you do not jealously guard your “rights” and defend them with zeal and tenacity you will surely lose them. Life? Liberty? Both can be rescinded on a whim by humans, bears or earthquakes. Pursuit of happiness? That is a state of mind. Toss me in a dungeon or sit me upon Persian pillows with servants to attend my every need. I cannot be stopped from pursuing happiness, although there is no guarantee I will find it.

Sounds ok to me. I am Germanic on dad’s side and Blackfoot on mom’s side. Of course there are various flavors melted into both sides. Dad’s side brought war brides home with them occasionally. Mom’s side has a small dash of Irish. She said an Irish mountain man couldn’t outrun one of her female ancestors. Dad’s side has a dash of Scottish and two dashes of undetermined Native American blood.

As a halfbreed I’ve experienced both acceptance and rejection from both races. Me and my brother look more like dad and sis looked more like mom. Go figure. So some natives think I’m an apple (Red on the outside and White inside) while some Palefaces considered me ro be another Red Nigger. Ya just have to let it roll off your back.

Being in both camps, most Black guys accepted me. After all, very few of them are African Black and have some Honky in their family trees. Other mixed folks get along as well. Very few Americans can claim pure ancestry if they’ve been in the US more than 3 generations. Even those who do so claim would likely be surprised by a DNA test. As soon as the Mayflower set sail from England people were fooling around ‘tween decks. Humans will fornicate with just about anybody. Even Strom Thurmond had a Black mistress for decades and a child with her.

So us mutts have a proud heritage of our own. We tend to be healthier due to a thing called hybrid vigor. Embrace your varied ancestry. After all, there’s nothing you can do about it.

As for the nation, I believe we need more Whiteish babies. Also we need to eject all the illegals who have bum rushed the border to provide Democrats with more voters and brown shirts. After all, look what happened to a good deal when the Palefaces were let in 416 years ago at Jamestown.

I also believe as the Founders did. Only those with a stake in the election should vote. No letting people with no property voting to raise property taxes. The masses will vote themselves bread and circuses as they did in ancient Rome and are doing so today. They can demand spending on their support by wealth redistribution, which is fancy robbery. When you rob from Peter to pay Paul, you can always count on Paul’s vote. AOC once said that taxes are the price you pay for living in a civilized country. Wrong. Taxes are the bribe you pay to stay out of prison.

My late wife never voted. She said they were all corrupt and voting was about the same as choosing which buzzard is going to dine on your carcass.

She did her politics through volunteerism. At the local hospital, making cookies for on-duty deputies, firefighters and EMT/rescue crews. Her oatmeal raisin cookies were notorious. She plumped the raisins in red or white wine depending on which raisin she used. She cooked and served at the local soup kitchen. I often donated venison as I always filled my limit. It served more than soup but my wife’s ham and mixed bean soup was always a big hit. And her cornbread (scratch, not a mix) was beloved by southern transplants. She got me to go down around Mardi Gras and make jambalaya, shrimp etoufee, gumbo, and red beans and rice.

I turned 19 one week before my unit was ordered to retake Hue City in Tet of 1968. I was 2 weeks in country and was in my unit three days. Hotel Company, 2/5 Marines. Our C.O. was Captain Christmas. No joke. Our unit took 50% casualties in pretty fierce door-to-door fighting, but we took Hue. The C.O. was medevacced out and got a Navy Cross. He retired as a Lt General. It was a different time. No gayboi stuff, race relations was ok. You don’t care what color skin your squadmate has so long as he’s got your six.

I hit San Fran Airport in uniform with ribbons. I was spat upon and called a baby killer by some hippie. I spent the night in a holding cell at the airport until a magistrate turned me loose next day for self defense. Today I’d likely get ten years for ktfo-ing the punk. Why liberals believe they should get physical with a warrior fresh from the fight I don’t know.

There was no babysitting during wartime in the Marines. Do or die. I left the corps when our politicians betrayed us. I know how Afghanistan veterans feel. I took a year and a half off then joined the army and worked for the DIA until I retired.

With California and New York both sealing conviction records, even for felonies, I doubt we can really turn the corner by peaceful means. How long before blue states seal pedophile and sexual predators’ records? So child care facilities, nursing homes and schools will have no way to detect paedos/predators and prevent them from working with vulnerable populations. Banks will wind up hiring thieves. This happened to me. My bank hired a juvenile thief with 20 arrests and 3 convictions and who’s records were expunged. He stole my and several others’ debit card data and account access and ordered merchandise sent to various she’ll addresses where his group picked it up. Thankfully I check my accounts daily, noticed the false purchases, and got the ball rolling. His bunch got ten years apiece.

But with Blue state politicians working as hard as they can to release a wave of criminals and illegal immigrants, I mean, Democrat voters, it will take a 1930s style depression to start waking up leftist voters, most of whom are women.

So banning another Great Depression, world war, or armed rebellion I don’t see a path forward.

Long but interesting read. A couple of points:

1. Russia is not a near-peer to NATO. If Putin eventually wears down Ukraine and tries anything with a NATO country, he will get pimp-slaped back to Kamchatcka. In a conventional war he stands about as much of a chance as did Russian tactics and equipment during Desert Storm. The 4,000 members of the 101st Airborne stationed along the Ukranian border alone could cut a swath through Russian units like a combine through a wheat field.

2. Apparently the writer of the long article has not visited Taiwan in the last 40 years or so. It is not a little Vietnam. The Taiwanese should be able to repel a Chinese attempted invasion with just a dab of help from the US Navy. China is still a mostly paper tiger. Taiwanese troops hate the mainland Chinese and will fight rabidly. They have quietly amassed quite an arsenal of modern weapons. Remember also, the Chinese have zero experience in pulling off an opposed amphibious invasion. Unless the Taiwanese anti-air systems are seriously degraded, any lumbering cargo craft carrying troops or equipment will be easy meat.

After all, the US won all the battles in Vietnam. We lost due to turncoat politicians. However, during their ill-fated invasion of Vietnam, the Chinese got their arses handed to them quite handily by the Vietnamese, even though China had no ocean water to cross. The Vietnamese did to China what they never did to the US, win the battles. Taiwan is just as motivated, trained by the USA and the advantage of making China have to bring cargo ships across a contended ocean route with US attack submarines waiting on them like piranha. The US fleet just needs targeting data from the Taiwanese to sink Chinese ships with missiles from a distance of 120 miles or more from the US fleet.
