What Will President Trump Say Next Sunday?

On Sunday February 28th 2021 at 3:40 pm on the last day of CPAC, Donald Trump will make his first major public speech since the January 6th rally in Washington D.C. that the Left used as an excuse for his post-term impeachment and the militarization of Capitol Hill into something resembling the Berlin Wall.

I’ve been waiting impatiently for this speech for weeks.  I guess if I had been more thoughtful, I would have acknowledged that it was necessary to let the impeachment process and the fallout from all of the dozens of Biden regime executive orders settle first before there would be space in the public eye for a major statement by Donald Trump.

So, in less than a week the only man in generations who was both willing and able to do something significant to improve the lives of normal Americans will have the chance to tell us if he has a plan for the future.  I won’t lie and say I’m not anxious that he may decide to pass the torch to the next generation.  After all he is already 74 years old and by 2024, he’ll be 78.  That’s a lot to expect from a man.

But what I’m hoping he will say is that he wants to build a political and commercial foundation for us.  He has some means and he knows other wealthy and powerful men who if they have the ambition and foresight can put together a corporation that supports many different populist and conservative needs.

My ideas for this are very overblown.  I envision a corporation that provides unassailable access for conservatives to services that currently are at the whim of progressive attack.  People who have done nothing more dangerous than question the progressive dictates on sexual and racial pieties have had their internet businesses shut down or shadow banned.  They have been hounded out of their jobs, denied service by banks and payment processors and even arrested by local and federal law enforcement based on selective enforcement of laws that often are completely unconstitutional.

So, you can see, I’ll probably be at least somewhat let down no matter what is said.  I feel that at this point it is going to take men of extraordinary vision to take back this country without an actual civil war.  An enormous amount of coordination and the willingness to build corporate structures and commercial institutions at great financial risk doesn’t seem probable.  But either those things must happen or one of two things will.  Either a demagogue will step in and things will go in a different and much darker direction, or the normal people of this country will finally give up and the progressives will turn this into a totalitarian woke state right out of 1984.  And I really don’t want either of those options.

But even if President Trump only gives us a tiny part of a plan for our future it will be the first tiny patch of good news we’ve had in months.  I’m looking forward to it with great expectation.  I would even like it if he reflected on the RINO’s that stabbed him in the back and also pointed to the current flock of conservative leaders and anointed a few of them as the men who will have to carry the ball after his time has passed.

And finally, this speech is the chance for the acknowledged leader of conservative America to address his people specifically.  At CPAC the audience isn’t all of America.  It’s specifically conservative America and Donald Trump is currently the undisputed leader of that tribe.  We voted for him in prodigious numbers.  Recent surveys show we would abandon the Republican Party if he started a Patriot Party of his own and we’re looking to him to show us a path forward into a future that doesn’t leave us at the mercy of the progressive left.  I hope he has something good for us to hear.

Congress Certifies the Election.  Where Do We Go from Here?

So, it’s official.  Mike Pence uselessly officiated at the vote count and only a handful of senators had the backbone to put up even a token resistance; Cruz, Hawley and a few others.  So, everyone including President Trump has agreed that “Dementia Joe” Biden will be hauled into the White House and nailed up like a scarecrow while his handlers pull his strings and make his progressively addled mouth and brain parrot whatever teleprompted gibberish they want him to spew on any particular day.

Yesterday’s street theater was either the beginning of a rebellion against a fraudulent presidency or the death spasm of a free people.  Time will tell.  The juxtaposition of the media’s portrayal of yesterday’s protest versus the obscene “summer of Floyd” rioting and looting is so ludicrous as to defy description.  Ashli Babbitt, who was murdered yesterday, is such a stark contrast to all of the “victims” that were endlessly celebrated in the summer of Floyd that nothing else is needed to highlight what the two sides stand for.  The left holds up criminals and degenerates as saints and martyrs while decent patriotic Americans are branded with every slur imaginable.

So, as predicted, they stole the Georgia senate elections and now control the Senate, the House, the White House and effectively the Supreme Court.  Technically we have a 6-3 majority there but apparently Roberts and one or two of the new boys are under the Left’s thumb.  They can write any laws they want and the Supreme Court will back them to the hilt.  They control the social media completely and through Google and Amazon they control access to the internet and e-commerce.  They control the banks and they control Wall Street.  They control the bureaucracy, the intelligence apparatus, the Justice Department, the IRS and even the military.  They control the schools, the colleges and the press.  To say that they have us by the throat is an understatement of biblical proportions.  Even this tiny one-man show of mine isn’t too small for them to shut down when they get around to dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s on their program of eliminating the dissenters.  That’s the beauty of the server farms that Google had the government buy for them.  They can write an algorithm that counts up every last syllable of dissent and just cancels it out of existence.

And coming around to the title, where do we go from here?  Well, from my point of view, we stop waiting for a man on a white horse and we become the answer we’re waiting for.  We’re embedded in a matrix of lies, stupidity and degeneracy.  We have to develop defenses to protect our children from the corrosive effects of these poisons.  They’re too young to understand the lies.  As for adults that believe this stuff, they’re probably hopeless and need to be avoided as much as is possible in our private lives.

I can’t assume there are enough brave men left in this country to organize a rebellion.  We’re all too hamstrung by our dependence on all the government systems that control every aspect of our lives.  Everything from the money in our bank accounts to the cops on our streets are controlled by the other side.  If a rebellion occurs then I’ll join it.  But I see my place as providing information for the people on our side and a place where we can talk and discuss the events of the day.  I’ll give my opinions and pass along any links to others who are trying to organize cultural and commercial endeavors that help our side in some way.  In my personal life I will work to form a local community of like-minded individuals.  That is something we all should do.  Linking those local groups together would be something for a social network to accomplish.  What that network will be is still a question mark.

I will make it a special part of my time to think up humiliating and I hope amusing insults to use for Dementia Joe, his underlings and their pathetic antics.  You have to do something to amuse yourself while waiting for the execution.

So that’s it.  Until someone raises an armored division we are officially under the permanent control of Big Brother here in Oceania.  2 + 2 = 5.

05JAN2021 – A Good Omen

So today I went on an odyssey of rediscovery.  I ventured out of the compound to get the oil changed on the older car.  I had a free oil change pass that I earned when the service station botched some expensive repairs and felt that I should be assuaged to a small degree.  So, I drove out, full of excitement, as I headed into the big city, well the, slightly larger town anyway.  And because I am twenty minutes from nowhere, I arrived in about a half hour.

I dutifully handed in my business card with the words “free oil change” and a scribbled signature on the back that was as good as gold at this locale.  And after signing here, here and initialing there I walked into the waiting room and memorized the free Wi-Fi password and sat down to see what was going on in the outside world.  And then my whole world came crashing down.  No Wi-Fi service.  Oh, the pain, the pain.

So, I started writing a screed on my laptop about fake elections and their consequences.  I began to warm to the task at hand and I invoked Chicago’s Richard Daley and Saddam Hussein’s Iraq and I was just getting ready to start summoning the peasants with torches and pitchforks to begin the reckoning when another customer showed up in the waiting room.

When he walked in, we both gave the polite head nod of acknowledgement.  I began writing again but I could tell he was fidgeting about.  He announced that he was going to order the $5 car wash to go along with his other service.  I averred that it sounded like a good deal.  And off he went.  But when he returned, I could tell he had some conversation in him and after thinking for a second I thought why the hell not?  Being locked away for the last nine months how many random conversations had I had in that time?  Why the hell not?

My auto mechanic’s waiting room fellow inmate was an older fellow.  He couldn’t have been younger than seventy-five and for all I know he could be ninety.  I’d guess he was a healthy eighty-year-old.  Without much in the way of introductory remarks we began to discuss a wide range of topics, self-learning artificial intelligence, ivermectin as a treatment and prophylaxis for COVID, the security and surveillance state we live in and the appalling state of physical fitness among Americans.  I found out that my friend lived in my town and in fact lived on the same street as my daughter’s family.  I learned that he is a medical doctor interested in starting a hydroponic farm to supplement the food he currently serves at a restaurant that he owns in the area.  In addition to this I learned that like me he was born in New York City and was of Italian extraction.  And finally, after a few guarded questions we discovered that we were both of the conservative political persuasion.

Now we commiserated about the fate of conservatives living in New England and the general degradation of the American polity and we probably would still be there talking except that before we knew it my car was ready for me.  We parted on friendly terms and I promised to check out his restaurant sometime soon.  And all the way home I thought about the odds of a chance meeting on the first day out of captivity in weeks in ultra-blue southern New England being someone so obviously aligned with my world view.  The odds are very remote.  Or maybe they’re not that remote.  Maybe even in a place like this there are tons of good people left out there who are not crazy and who are working to make this world sane.

Giving up on this country is a bad idea.  Organizing the good people is the task at hand.  There are millions of us.  And even where we are not the majority, we are still a mighty force.  And that’s not just numbers.  It’s because we are the good and useful part of society and we can find a way to live the kind of life we want to live.  I’ve got to start getting out there again.  There really is a lot to see.

Why We Boycott the Leftist Businesses

Not using Google or walking away from the NFL or avoiding Hollywood’s leftist insults like Star Wars is a way to take money out of the Left’s pocket.  But let’s face it, there are plenty of other people that are lined up to spend their cash on those things.  So, we’re not going to topple any of those behemoths anytime soon.

But what it does do is create demand and available cash for alternatives on the Right that either currently exist or should be created now.  Take Google.  Other options already exist.  DuckDuckGo and Brave already exists and can be used as your browser without any loss of functionality.  Is Google faster or more comprehensive?  Maybe but who cares?  Am I splitting the atom and need the cutting edge of technology to check on the weather?  But DuckDuckGo and Brave don’t track my every move and don’t sell my information.

As far as professional sports go, I have now finished with all of them.  They can kneel and grovel to whomever they want.  I won’t be seeing another minute of the NFL, MLB or the NBA until I hear they’re ready to apologize to the patriotic Americans they’ve defamed and denounce the thugs at BLM and Antifa instead.  And so, the time and money that could have gone to cable packages and tickets can go elsewhere.  How about joining a bowling league with some friends or a membership at a gun range?  That will utilize the time and money left available by abandoning those millionaire jocks who hate America.  Not to mention the money it will deprive the networks and cable channels of.

As for Hollywood, there aren’t many options for motion picture production.  But there will be soon.  And until there are, think about other options.  Old movies, old books, old tv shows, new books by people on our side of the fence.  With the pent-up demand that shutting down the Hollywood sleaze train would produce you can afford to look around and find the books that are out there from authors on our side of the fence.  On the science fiction and fantasy side of things I happen to like Larry Correia with his Monster Hunter books (and his other series).  The military science fiction series “Galaxy’s Edge” by Jason Anspach and Nick Cole is one of my current favorites.  Neither series features any trace of social justice or hate for traditional beliefs, just adventure and excitement.  Vox Day has a publishing company, Castalia House that publishes book, and comic books and soon even some kind of movies that are oriented in our direction.  Supporting all of these and more is a way to help our side to grow its own culture independent of the Left.

And there should be plenty of other companies and people out there that don’t insult us on a daily basis and would be a much better place for us to spend money on.  If you know of any, pass the names along and I’ll list them in a database as a reference for others.

But that’s the idea.  Consciously shifting time and money away from enemy institutions and locating alternatives is better than just saying you will boycott the Left’s companies.  The pent-up demand for entertainment will still exist if you boycott.  And if you become bored you may drift back to the enemy.  Use that demand and the money saved to do something worthwhile.  Add to all the things I’ve mentioned anything else that you are interested in, camping, bird watching, hunting, fishing, baseball, softball, hockey, whatever.  Find people on our side and spend time and money with them.  It’s the smartest way to make our side stronger and coincidentally you’ll make the Left weaker at the same time.

I bang this drum pretty often because I think there’s more that can actually be done on these small personal choices than all the yelling and screaming about the latest Leftist outrage.  Talking politics is fine and has its place but this is a culture war that will go on as long as we live and probably longer.  We need to start making our lives better and theirs worse.  So, invest the time to find alternatives to the Left’s stranglehold on the culture.

Vox Day Links to an Article About an Australian Rugby Star Fired for His Religious Beliefs

Israel Folau was a star of the Australian Rugby league.  But his comments about his christian beliefs on homosexuality got him fired from his team and when he set up a crowdfunding effort to contest the firing in court, GoFundMe cancelled the account after it received over $500,000.

https://voxday.blogspot.com/2019/06/deplatforming-christian-morality.html

Folau is a Polynesian (Tongan) raised in a christian family and his biblical beliefs about the immorality of abnormal sexual practices have clashed with the LGBTQ mafia that more and more ruthlessly attempts to silence any voices that won’t burn a pinch of incense to the Caesar of our time.  Kudos to Vox for highlighting this story from “Down Under.”

Building the Underground

Last week I read Angelo Codevilla’s essay “Conservative Resistance” in American Greatness.  His thesis was that since the Leftists have begun selectively to ignore federal law (e.g., marijuana illegality) that it has come to the point where Red States will start ignoring social policy laws that they disagree with (e.g., abortion, homosexuality).

Whether things will actually progress very far this way anytime soon remains to be seen but I realized that we already live essentially in two different worlds.  The conflict over the last sixty years has been over which world will rule the other.  And essentially it is not a matter of agreeing on a common set of rules that we can reach a compromise on.  We are being systematically undermined in all areas of the most important aspects of life.  The Left’s social projects have absolutely nothing to do with freedom.  They are efforts to destroy the traditional family as the means to eradicate the people they cannot control.

Looking at things from that point of view it seems plain to me that until we can reassert control over the agencies of the government that are infringing on our freedoms of speech and religion, we must in some ways look upon ourselves as people living under a foreign power.  We live in occupied territory.  This is similar to how the people in Eastern Europe endured the Soviet occupation.

The Soviet occupation controlled every facet of civic life with an unbreakable grip based on the military strength of the Russian army.  But the people lived a dual life and their inner life expressed the truth of what they actually believed as opposed to the outer rituals that the state forced them to observe.  So, whereas Poland was officially a communist state with atheism as the official position, the Poles clung desperately to their Catholic faith.

Not to be dramatic about this but there is a way for us to live a similar inner life.  We will have to foster a separate culture and society from the one we live in.  We will need to have our own fiction and philosophy, our own music and movies.  We will need to communicate together over our own channels, websites and networks.  And someday we may need to invest our money in our own banks and businesses.  We’re actually luckier than the Poles and the Czechs.  Theoretically we still live in a free country.  If we are careful and patient, we can make a lot of progress without depending on some kind of upheaval to get what we want.  But it will require slow methodical effort by large numbers of like-minded people to lay the kind of foundation needed to bypass the converged infrastructure currently surrounding every facet of our lives; schools, social networking sites, businesses, federal bureaucracies and even churches and non-profit organizations.

All these things are possible and relatively easy to understand.  The hard thing to do is how to pass along this information to the children today.  If you homeschool your children then this simplifies matters enormously.  But if your kids are in the public (or private) schools then it will be a struggle.  They are saturated by the propaganda that the culture and its representatives broadcast at them continuously.  It’s like a fish in poisoned water it can’t escape the effect.  To tell them the truth will seem to them like madness.  It will fly in the face of everything that is drummed into their heads twenty-four/seven.  But even here there are ways to use the natural advantage of the truth to simplify the effort.  When a child tells you about global warming have facts on your side.  Point to statements by alarmists like Al Gore about how the polar ice caps would be completely melted by 2017 and then show a photo of the Arctic today.  This will be understandable to the child.  Then it would be useful to explain that not everything that is taught in school or on television is true.  You can then introduce the concept of political bias and how this can cause people to lie about objectively true things for the sake of gaining political power.  It will also be necessary to explain how arguing to the authorities about their lies will only get the child punished.  It will have to be explained that for the sake of keeping appearances the truth won’t be mentioned.  But introduction into the inner world of those who know will be an interesting phenomenon for him and allow a space where you can talk to the young without confusing them.  Another good way to break them out of the propaganda mode is to give them books and movies from the earlier times before the worst of the madness evolved.  Books and movies that showcase the qualities and behaviors of Western civilization and the normal occupations of men and women before the present confusion was inflicted on society will be interesting and attractive to their minds.

For an American having to do this seems Kafkaesque.  And probably that is the apt word.  Modern American life with its continuously weirder new outrages and never-ending assaults on the wholesome and sane appears like some surreal nightmare from which we never awake.  But teach them we must.  The memes and other tactics that the dissident and alt-right employ are meant to show the normies out there, the absurdity and illogic of the Left’s signature positions.  This we have to incorporate into our dealings with our children and grandchildren.  It is hoped that we can one day recover control of the culture and return it to normal.  And with President Trump some of that is actually happening.  But I know it’s much too soon to even think we can go back to business as usual.  We are behind enemy lines and will be so for the foreseeable future.  We will therefore have to act accordingly.

Thriving in the Post Normal World – Part 1

This post is a variation on the theme of how do we get on with our lives as the progressives dismantle all the institutions that used to anchor people to the things that make life meaningful.  So, if the Boy Scouts is turned into some kind of transgender pride indoctrination camp then take your sons and grandsons camping with other normal people.  If the schools rewrite history to make villains out of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson then buy some old books and teach a class on American History.  If your office is giving a lunchtime seminar in Unconscious Bias then choose to eat out at Chic-Fil-A with other like minded employees.  In other words be proactive.  Choose to create alternatives to the narrative approved default.  Instead of going to Drudge, go to WhatFinger News.  Instead of CBS go to Fox or Real Clear Politics.  Instead of Google use DuckDuckGo or Brave.  Instead of Facebook go to blogs that you like (hint, hint).  And make sure you have some fun doing these things.

None of these alternatives are perfect.  All of them are work-arounds.  But they work.  And we need to build bigger and better things.  Losing the Boy Scouts and the schools isn’t a good thing.  Having your church try to indoctrinate you into LGBTQ gibberish isn’t acceptable.  We’re going to need new organizations and new churches.  That’s a tall order.  But it’s going to have to be done.  Maybe some of these things can be reformed.  But that will be very difficult and life is short so starting anew may be the better choice.

And we’re going to have to learn how to separate from the outside world.  You will have some friends and family that are so bought into the narrative and the progressive mind set that you will have to exclude them from many of your more important activities.  But you’ll also make new friends.  Embrace those who believe what you do.  Some of these people will be very different from you in background but don’t be surprised if you get along well.  Having common beliefs often goes hand in hand with social compatibility.

If your state is just too blue for you to breath, then move.  Find a state and a community where your values are shared by the majority and you don’t have to feel like you’re living in occupied territory.

And share information.  For instance, if your church has been overrun by the progressives and you need to look for alternatives a good source of information is a book by a guy named Rod Dreher called “The Benedict Option: A Strategy for Christians in a Post-Christian Nation.”  Not everything in it will be applicable to you and some of it you may disagree with but there is a lot in it that will make you think about how to improve your situation.

I’ve spoken lightheartedly about starting a fraternal organization but it’s more than half serious.  Men need a place to go to enjoy each other’s company and also talk about things that are serious.  Every venue has been compromised either to allow women to feel important or to forestall normal men from having a voice.  I seriously think it’s time to start new clubs that appeal to men.  You can start it as a gun club or a fishing club or a religious society or even a softball team.  Just make sure the members you invite are not on the progressive team.  And in addition to political talk and projects make sure there is a good deal of fun.  Without fun the club will last about a month.  And whatever you do don’t allow women to be members.  As has been shown to be axiomatic by now, women will destroy any organization that they control and they will control any organization that they are not excluded from.  Look at any church that allows women priests.  But they can make sandwiches so they won’t be completely left out.

If any of you have any examples or links that you think will be helpful to the audience put it in the comments.  In the second part of this I’ll try to include some more resources that might be helpful.

Mining the Benedict Option for Practical Advice – Part 1

As I mentioned I’m seriously interested in starting some kind of local organization to allow me to impact the community around me. But other than hot air of, which I possess an abundance, I was short on practical know-how.   I started re-reading Rod Dreher’s,”The Benedict Option,” and I think it will be useful.  I previously reviewed it last year.

A Short Book Review of Rod Dreher’s – The Benedict Option – Part 2

But now I’m looking at it more as a handbook, so it will take a good deal more time to weigh the information to decide what is helpful to me.   At this point, at the very least it has given me a number of resources for researching directions to go.  If anyone else is looking for ways to build alternative social platforms I recommend that you take a look at Dreher’s book. There are definitely some useful starting points at the very least.  And even if your position is non-religious there are things to think about in this book.

Rebuilding from the Ground Up – Part 2

Rebuilding from the Ground Up – Part 1

As the results of one of my recent website polls reminded me, opinions differ about what the future will bring for our country and world.  Some people think that we are irrevocably moving down the path that will put an end to the things that made the United States a great nation.  They say that our culture and the freedoms that are built into our Constitution will be swept aside and we will end up in a banana republic that resembles the condition of Brazil.  Other people contend that a revolution either more or less violent will achieve a division of the country into a Red State model and a Blue State one.  And some believe that we will be able to regroup from our differences and patch things together.

Honestly, I don’t know which, if any, of these scenarios will occur.  I’m not even sure anybody actually knows.  What I am sure is that the old way of life and the things it stood for are under continual attack from the Progressives.  And they are succeeding to a great extent in destroying the culture that has existed in this country and made it great.  They are eliminating all the concepts and behaviors from American life.  The three biggest weapons in this effort are the entertainment industry, the schools and the corporate America.  They are using these forces to shape the images that children and young adults see all around them and convince them that it is the only acceptable choice.  By subtle and not so subtle imagery they are showing children how they must think about sex roles and even the definition of men and women.  They are preaching the globalist doctrine that says that national identity and patriotism are social constructs that have no place in the modern world and thinking otherwise is a hate crime.

The first thing that needs to be done is locating and preserving all the remnants from the earlier time.  Books, movies, pictures and study aids that can be used to show the younger people what used to be the normal world need to be identified and made available to families to allow them to undo some of the damage.  I’m making it a point to review and recommend any books or movies that have value.  At some point I intend to put together a curriculum for different age groups that will both inform and entertain.

The next effort will be to organize into local groups to provide support and fellowship for people on the right.  These can be anything from hobbies to social events to sports to political activities.  It can even extend to religious and educational organizations that provide resources for families who don’t feel they can utilize the existing local groups.  Over time it is hoped that these groups can replace the existing institutions that have become debased by the culture at large.  I guess it could be hoped that some of these organizations could be reformed but I seriously doubt that will ever happen.

But as I said above, preserving the knowledge of the better times is first.  If anyone has a recommendation about a book, music or a movie or some other thing like a website or an on-line course, or even a business that deals in things that need to be preserved then, pass it along.

Rebuilding from the Ground Up – Part 1

When every church and social organization from the Roman Catholic Church to the Boy Scouts has been compromised you have to rebuild from the ground up.  I know it has to be done but how do you start?  Do you emphasize the religious aspect of the effort or do you concentrate on the family and cultural concerns?  I guess eventually all of these facets come into play if you’re trying to reclaim your world but it is without a doubt a daunting task.  Even the idea seems ridiculously ambitious.  But from my point of view there doesn’t seem to be any other way forward.  All the existing institutions and groups have surrendered completely.  No other way forward exists except starting from scratch and creating something that hasn’t been deformed by the madness of the modern world.  It’s going to involve selecting members one by one.  Everyone will have to be vouched for ahead of time.  Writing a charter will be important but what does it require?  What does it forbid?  It has to support activities that are important to families.  It has to include activities that include different age groups.  Children sports is a natural part.  A women’s auxiliary would be an idea.  But the leadership has to be adult men.  Fathers and especially grandfathers have to step up and start contributing to keeping the culture alive.  And eventually we’ll need a curriculum for after school teaching, sort of a Sunday School for traditionalists.

I’ll have to reread Rod Dreher’s “The Benedict Option” to see what practical information he includes for organizing a reclamation.  I don’t know if anything will come of this or not but it feels like the only really important thing I can do to help this degraded culture we are embedded in.  If anyone knows of information that would be useful pass it along.  To be continued.
